@Cult Icon I haven't read any romance novels in a while, but I used to like the ones by Cecelia Ahern. My favorites by her are P.S. I Love You and Love, Rosie (which is also called Where Rainbows End). P.S. I Love You has now been turned into a movie, but I read the book long before that and loved it.
Some of my favorite romance movies are:
You've Got Mail - saw this for the first time recently and it's become a quick favorite. I've watched it many times now.
Titanic - it's very possible this will always be my favorite movie.
A Walk to Remember
Love Actually
Like Crazy and Garden State aren't bad, either.

Kind of interesting how Cecelia Ahern saw great success as a writer at such an early age. I saw and liked the first one. Thank you.

I love Love, Rosie too! Such a good book/movie!

"You've Got Mail" is actually a remake of an Ernst Lubitsch classic: "The Shop around the Corner".

A classic romantic quote and one of my all-time favourites:
"If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once. My affections and wishes have not changed, but one word from you will silence me forever. If, however, your feelings have changed, I will have to tell you: you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on."

I knew I've heard this before. I liked pride and prejudice (as well as Atonement from the same director). It does help that KK has a dollface and can act:

Serious/Sad:
This is a world built out of memories blurred and wilting.
Humorous:
I could stand to be nicer. But if I was, I wouldn't be the one you fell in love with, right?

I've had a friend who recommended me this film. Did you see it?

The original? Yeah I have. It's very good, assuming you enjoy 1940s cinema.

My girlfriend at the time liked this movie and felt it more true to the novel than the newer one.
I, for one, preferred the newer one but had not read the novel. It also had to do with how I like KK in everything.. I found the male lead a bit flat and way too soft spoken (not sure where the charm was), but I am not qualified to judge such matters :-d

Romantic or crazy?

“One day, I want someone to look at me and say, ‘I didn’t want anyone in that way until I met you. And when I met you it made me question why I had ever spent so much time with any one else.’ I want to be the unexpected and the best thing that’s ever happened to them.”

Where is this from? I like your quips, and thank you. I need to read up on good romantic literature ![]()

I actually don't know where it is from. I took it from Tumblr.

Humorous:
"Would you ever say to me stop? If you'd love me you'll stop?"
"Not in a thousand years"

Romantic lyrics.
"Remember that day, we knew it from the start
We've come a long way and we're gonna go far
I see the future in your eyes
Forever and always, you and I"
&
"Cause I feel like I'm ready for love
And I wanna be your everything and more
And I know every day you say it
But I just want you to be sure
That I'm yours"

A bit cheesy but cute:
A life with you would be sweetness itself
