Do you think that love is the result of biological/genetic selection like so-unromantic scientists like Hawkins suggests? 

In evolutionary psychology, women value men that do as you describe as to help support the offspring.

Something biological is happening in our brain when we falling for someone.

I  think love & sexual attraction are both the same thing. Sex is just more primal.

Romanticism is something we have to work on.

and romance novels are so not my things/When I was a teenager I was reading Danielle Steel or Nora Roberts books but one day I get my hands on a Stephen King book -Cujo- and romantic novels vanished from my books shelves to be replaced by -to name a few- King, Masterton, Koontz books. And Stephen King & Dean Koontz are always writing very beautiful romantic love stories in their books in between murders & monsters.

My favorite romantic novel(s) is the claiming of sleeping beauty by Anne Rice

I still think you're thinking about Alien Resurrection, but are mixing up Alien 3 & Resurrection.

That is Alien 3, but the alien is a quadrupedal one where it gets it's traits from a dog. Ripley carries a queen in her the whole movie.

Alien Resurrection is where Ripley is a clone and she has some alien traits. They removed the queen alien embryo from Ripley and allow it to grow. The queen alien gives birth to an alien/human hybrid. There's a scene in the movie where the hybrid recognizes Ripley as it's mother and they bond, mother and creature.
