Yeah, alot of the people seem to not realize that Carsten is the antagonist here. Anything that you may have said to him to further the situation, was so long ago now that it's not even relevant in the argument. Also anything you may have said to him, was in direct result of something he did to you first. For most people it is only natural to retaliate when someone is doing what he has done. You have shown a great amount of restraint by not lowering yourself, and not going over there to give him a piece of your mind.
For the longest time now, you have stayed sway from anything Carsten related, which includes ever going to his forum, not lashing back when he has accused you of doing something, such as luring members away from his forum, yet he has continued on with these things, though you have dropped it.
It doesn't seem to register with a few people over there, that he is causing the strife between the forums. But what can you do you know.
Gilligan brought up the fact that you treated littleone bad. I don't understand what that has to do with the way Carsten runs his forum or why he continues to allow his anger and immaturity to overflow to where his members can watch it all unfold. They seem to not understand that littleone is in fact our infamous troll around here, and no amount of telling them so seems to make a difference. *shrug* The way we decide to treat someone who has been a constant thorn in our side has absolutely nothing to do with the argument over there nor the way inter-forum relations are held, so I don't understand why it was brang up.
She is a troll and she is treated like one. Because some of our members thought it might be a wise idea to point it out to members of another forum that she is roaming freely there, all of a sudden we have a reputation for treating WFT members badly. Doesn't make any sense. In fact If I were Carsten I would want to know, that she is lurking around my forum, so that I could at least keep an eye on her.
I don't know, I just figured that maybe if Carsten could see clearly, exactly what his actions look like from the outside, maybe he would wise up and change his habits. As far as I could tell he hasn't even adressed the situation over there, so who knows what's going on. I know that I don't want to cause any problems over there, as someone mentioned everyone should simply get back to enjoying the forums.
Therein lies the dilemma, until Carsten realizes that he continues to feed this, these things are just going to continue happening. If he would just drop it, and not continue to blame you for every little thing that happens over there, things would be fine. It doesn't matter what you did 7 months ago, or what he did 5 months ago, or what not, what matters now, is that, you have done nothing to stir things up in a very long time, and he has repeatedly. So if he were to stop, everything would be fine. Because there would be no one adding to the drama between the two of you.
But of course he does not seem to understand this, or does not care.
I'm tired now. ![]()

!!! i can only hear it =( what's up with that!!?
Sounds maybe like a hardware acceleration setting. If it continues to give you trouble after re-downloading it, try this:
Right Click your Desktop and Select Properties, You should see 6 tabs at the top of the dialog window, select the Settings tab. Next click the advanced button, a new dialog box should open. You should see 6 more tabs, select Troubleshooting.
There should be a slide bar there that is labeled Hardware Acceleration, if it's not at full, slide the bar until it is. Mess around with the bar a bit, and see if it works, but remember where it was when you started.
Of course I'm running Win2000, and you are probably running XP, but the instructions should be somewhat accurate.
That's all of course if, reinstalling doesn't seem to help.
ok, i did that. it was already at full, but i fooled with it a bit and put it back on full (not sure if it'll help, but whatever lol) so i'll try now and see what happens. thank you! ![]()
damn... still not working
is there anything else that i can do??
You might have to upgrade you drivers for your video card, your current driver may not support the type of monitor you have now.
I would suggest finding out what type of video card you have, which can be found by doing what I mentioned above except, instead of clicking troubleshooting, there should be a tab, that is labeled with your video card info.
Also you can find the info by doing the following.
My Computer-->Control Panel-->System--> Select the Hardware Tab, then select the Device Manager button.
Once that window appears, Expand the Display Adapters menu(click the little + sign), where you should see your video card in the displayed menu. Then just double click that to obtain more info on your card.
When you figure out what type of card you have, try and find the Manufacturers website, where you should be able to download updated drivers for your card.
Once you get the new driver, Repeat all of the above steps, to get you back to the Video Card info menu again.
Click the Driver tab, and select the update driver button. It should guide you through a step-by-step process to install your new driver. Be sure that you select the proper driver location, which will be wherever you downloaded it to, most likely your Destop.
I don't know how much you know about computers, but you might want to let someone who knows the basics do this for you.
Just in case it isn't the problem behind your video playback and you need to revert to your old driver again.
But you can take a shot at it if you feel comfortable messing with the stuff. ![]()
hmm... i don't know if i should do it. i should ask someone... well... maybe i'll try it. thank you mike. i appreciate it. i'll let you know how it works out. ![]()
Be careful.
You won't ruin anything as long as you have your old driver to reinstall if this one fails.
Also It could be something else entirely. If everything else on your computer looks just fine (things are the right size, shape and colors), but the only thing your having trouble with is videos, it may not be your card at all.

hi mike! how are u doing today? ![]()
