DAVID COULTHARD will swap the cockpit for the crib this year when he becomes a proud dad.

The Scot’s fiance – stunning Belgian TV presenter Karen Minier - is expecting his first child in November.

Coulthard insists fatherhood was not behind his decision to bring his 15-year career to an end after this season’s final race in Brazil in November.

Red Bull ace Coulthard, 37, said: “I am really excited about the baby.

“It won’t be a new experience for Karen but it will be for me and I am really looking forward to it.

“The baby is due after the end of the season so things have worked out perfectly.

“But I am not retiring because of the baby. I have had a great career but now is the time to go.”

Two-time British Grand Prix winner Coulthard will race at Silverstone for the final time on Sunday.

I'm soo happy 4 david. I mean, he's had loads of fiancee's and i was surprised that he hasn't had children yet. I think that karen & david will make lovely parents. In the uk, people think that david is too much of a playboy you see, because he's had many fiancee's and stuff like that; but if david wants to live that way, let him do that
