I can see the ones who make it to the main stream making it a career and even eventually become producers or directors. I would say at those levels is where the money would be more lucrative. Most never make it to that stage. The lucky ones leave the business with a little money saved but few career prospects.
Yeah.. there has been a few that have made it to the production and directing. I am the nerd that actually watches the commentaries when they are provided.
Career prospects? hhmmm.. I would imagine this industry can open someone to many things...
come to think of it, with the way things are in America, US politics sounds like a possiblity. LOL

Why is everybody always defending women in porn industry? Even when it comes to money they are making, like you guys are doing right now. Everybody, unless you are some delusional 17 year old girl, knows that they don't make fortunes. But, the thing is that male actors make less than female actresses, on average. Nobody's bringing that up for some reason.
Do the men made less money? It seems like it would be sooo HARD to get a man actor so I would think it to be the same or more. It is not easy for men to keep things up to standard for as much as 8 to 10 hours at a time.
I would think to look at porn in its trueness would be to look at the industry.. to look at what it represents would have to make moral judgement on many levels. I would imagine for some it would make it even personal.

at the beginning of their carrer men often win nothing. they aren't pay.
the girls pay is really better. 200 for a normal scene and if i'm not wrong 500 for the anal scene.
by the way, i already visited website for porno movie castings... where all the actor put their informations and pictures... and in the end there are 10 men for 1 woman. so of course, pay is less important because the competition is rude.
finally, it's better to make your own porno movie than pay prostitutes XD really cheapper! (without count the castings...) ![]()

you really have to be careful making your own porn. If you break with the person it could end up on the internet and you wouldnt have gotten paid for it.

that's what we call a sex tape... not my cup of tea ![]()
but the last month, i made a crisis because someone put a video on youtube where people can see my breast... i was FURIOUS!!! i wore a pantie with an open bathrobe and she put it on internet... and she told me, "now assume"
as people should put everything on interet ! totally mad. i think now, people lost the respect of intimity.
she said i was crazy to make a crisis about it.
we had a quarrel and now she spend her time to say lie about me like i owe money etc and of course this is not true!
she is just jealous and angry!

contact youtube and tell them that you have the real copyright to the content in question, and that they must comply with the takedown order as youtube falls under the power of the DMCA

at first this is what i do but in same time, it wasn't a copyright because she took the video... and she deleted it after few hours.
she said i was crazy because i asked her to delete the file. (i wasn't agressive or nothing) and nobody takes care of my breast etc.
talk about this kind of videos, i just wonder how website can control pedophiliac videos on internet ?
there are porno website where i go "RedTube", (sometimes they have very funny videos as the "Kung Fu Porn"
) or Empflix with their amazing collection of vintage erotic/porno movies from the 20' and 30'(i was curious to see that... and it remind me a lot Joel Peter Witkin's work
) and i just wonder how they can be sure that actors are 18 years old... ? i just wonder if this kind of website is not the new way for pedophilia ?
i think now people can put everything on internet without respect important ethic rules. this is a shame. the new pornography is a big problem, not because of women position in this "industry" (even if people don't win money with these websites), but because of respect. i think this kind of website shouldn't exist or at the beginning, people should be "members" to see the videos.

I don't recommend getting into the porn business. I have had 2 sisters in porn and both committed suicide. You have to be a really really strong person to survive it. But I also have a friend who did porn in the early 90's and she came out unscarred from it. She didn't drink or do drugs. I have also known a few girls who have completely changed their identities when they left the industry.

thats really sad. some pornstars get into porn because they got sexually abused as children for example jenna jameson. i dont understand how the hell that makes anyone want to be used for sex after that.

condolences.
but you know, you can be butcher and commit a suicide too...
people focus on pornography as it was devilish, that's why, everytime, when someone commit a suicide, they say it's pornography fault... it's always eaiser to find a guilty.
Baby knows what's up!

I guess many people who end up in porn have some sort of personal problems - whether it's in their family, relationships, finances, drugs & alhocol, sexual abuse, depression or other mental condition etc. Various factors might be at play here. I don't think people commit suicide only because they feel guilty or ashamed of what they do.

Sometimes but also the drugs and not to mention their families turning their back on them. And yes most who go in this business have issues before porn

totally agree
Some people do get in porn for the wrong reason but there are some that get into porn bc they like it or want to.

i think we could say the same for all the jobs...
and how many people have these problems... "family, relationships, finances, drugs & alhocol, sexual abuse, depression or other mental condition"
i think everybody have problems and this list represent 90% of them

No, not at all.

Pornography is not beneficial to men or women.
The large majority of mainstream porn is degrading to women to a certain extent.
But more worrisome is the fact that it now shapes the sex image of young boys. Apparently the average age at which a boy now sees his first hardcore porn movie is 11! :yuckky:
It's not very healthy for them to base their idea of what sex entails on those movies. Not for themselves or the girls they will eventually hook up with. ![]()

One other thing: the notion that pornography is empowering to women because they can earn a genuine fortune in the industry is an illusion. For every Jenna Jameson and Sasha Grey, there are hundreds of girls who never make more than a few thousands dollars in the industry but are subjected to terribly degrading acts on camera anyhow. They then have to go out and find "real" jobs after the end of their careers, with no real monetary reward for the perpetual record of their humiliation.

It can be though. It just isn't for the majority.

You are aware that girls also watch it too, right? I'm confident that there are less young girls who watch it than boys, however what you've just said also applies to young girls.

Yeah, 'degrading acts', and 'humiliation' that they brought upon themselves.
