but that would be a belief about how people come to interpret the information they are given rather than a belief about the truth itself, right? Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Sophists (apparently) believe that the actual truth (as an idea/concept) is one and the same as that truth determined by the beliefs of the masses, rather than believing that there is a discrepancy between both notions?

What would a Sophist believe if I told them that people on the whole consider Sophism to be false

I think you are right, but not all Sophist went as far as that. I think only a smaller sub-set of Sophists defined the truth as narrow as that.

In that case I should read up more about it I too would hold the view that the truth, should there be an objectively verifiable version, is distinct from the interpretations held by people, as they are very prone to cognitive errors. Is that similar to your interpretation of Sophism? I don't see where the Sophism is in that interpretation though Anyway, enough about Sophism for one day

They would say: "you can't tell me what to do, you're not my real mom anyway!"

Or something to that extent.

even as the time i post this reply, i am on my forth milk chocolate whips, which is basically chocolate case with mashmellow in it^^ i got it from my gardening job today^^

i have a huge appetite, so i always eat a lot^^ but since i do a lot of sports, i never get fat, in fact i lose weight because the food in the school is so bad..... seriously, you wouldn't believe it. <_<

i am just hoping that my leg dont give way for tomorrow's cross country race. any other things, like beating my pb, coming into the top 30 is now unrealistic..... :yuckky:

well, i am all up for it!

Well, it's not too bad wuith me either, but I'm careful (and the girls on this forum have a slight influence I don't want to be anorexic or skinny, but I wanna be still slim Which I am, thank god, to some extend )

I believe the food is bad not good when you think of the price of a boarding school

oh wow, I wish you luck, but what do you mean with pb ._.

hey i did an work experience last summer for a professor in a Uni last summer as well, and i didn't get paid either. <_<

i had to do all the photocopying, books ordering + managment, and doing research for him, and which he was full of praise! i was so proud^^

it's good for applications if I have a lot of experiences like that, and I would be bored otherwise in my holidays, so

yep, as long as you are healthy, i think that's more important than anything else^^

yep, we play sh*t loads, and i mean sh*t loads, but we get sh*t all!!!! :yuckky: :yuckky: :yuckky:

just finished the race this afternoon, came 32nd out of 95, much better than last year's 48th, so i am pleased, despite my condition.

PB means personal best^^

wow, i wouldn't get bored when i have holidays! cos i spend so little with my family and friends, i guess that's y i usually enjoy it a lot!

You don't have your family so often, that's right... Well, i see them every day, so that's nothing really special for me. And since I can meet my friends in the rest of the holidays too, it'll be alright
