Yeah, movies aren't the best idea, since you can't really talk, and after the two hours, you're right back where you started--not really knowing the person. But dinners are no good either because you're stuck for an hour face-to-face with someone you might realize you don't even like. And I've always felt there's too much pressure put on a first-time dinner date.

It's better to just hit a book store coffee shop for twenty minutes. It's cheap, casual, they're everywhere, and you can bail as soon as you want.

That's my theory.
