I really liked the show. I think Missy's segment should have been in the middle.

I am not a fan of the influencers; I honestly don't want them there, and even some of the models, based on the extreme size variation from skinny to voluptuous, with no in between.

Some models had surgery that does not translate well in motion.

But the clothing and the stage compared to last year???? A 10!

And what happened to Martha?

Anyway, I give the show a 7.

I hate that those shoes ruined her walk in this segment. She did great in the red one. I thought it was Candace opening, but it was her.

HI EVERYONE. WE'RE SO BACK. But Sui ain't back anyway.

My first impression of the show:
Outfit, Hair & Make Up and set wise a hugh improvement to last years show. I like that the sections had distinct themes again. The stage was superb! Loved the use of the panel in the middle. The background could have used some specific stage elements for each section to complement the section theme,. but I am happy that Alexander de Betak again was responsible for the set design. Also having musical performances in only 3 of 6 sections was a good decision.

BUT music, casting and energy wise it felt bland at some points. I think the remixes could have been better for the sections without performers.

Loved the intro music (Mishima (Opening) by Philip Glass - one of my favourite tracks ever) and that some girls were highlighted like in the gold old days.

Jasmin was GLOWING during the opening. But I have to admit, I am not a big fan slow openings such as this and last years. I feel like no energy is being transmitted to the viewers. Last years opening section turned into such an energetic mode after the Chapell and Charli remix came on. This year it felt lackluster and slow throughout. Outfit wise probably on of the best segments, with mostly traditional looking wings and nice details (Barbaras back piece, Lilys and Joans headdresses).

The second section had so many standout moments after one another: Abeny, Angelina, Grace!!, Irina, Awar, Preciuos, Anok. Again, the music could have been more energetic and fun.

Did not really care for PINK, the outfits were mosty horrible. Also, letting two or more models walk at the same time is still not a good idea. At this point the music and energy improved. The song choice really fitted the PINK vibe. The opening girls were cute, Summers and the Marinas energy was contaigous. The photo at the end was a fun idea, but it was cleary taken beforehand. Models weren't in the same position and Iris was missing at all.

I like that the fourth section had a faster and sexier vibe. Alex's wings were stunning. I am not the biggest Stella fan, but they did her dirty putting her in that outfit. Yasmeen was showing them other girls how it's done! Probably one of the best walks that night! She also got a great amount of screentime. Adut and Yumi also looked stunning. I kinda loved Grace's wings?! :D

The next segment had such a Y2K vibe. Liked the remix and loved the spotlight on Angelina! Probably my favourite newcome this year. She was so enganging and playful, which I did not expect from her at all. Blesnya did not stand out as much as last year, but still looked great nonetheless. Devyn was all over the place. Neelams outfit was super cute, also was a big fan of Emilys outfit, she looked great in it. Angels wings have such a great design, more of this please.

Candice opening of the last segment was the energy we needed throughout the whole show! Imaans second walk was amazing. Paloma looked great, I liked the idea of Amelias outift. Alex's walk and outfit was perfection. Barbara looked stunning. Adrianas wings were a monstrosity and Bellas closing felt a little off? I think either Lui or Lily lost a part of their outfit, because there was some sparkly thing on the floor during Bellas closing and the finale.

The finale fell totally flat imo, particularly because of the song chioce. Where was the celebratory and fun music?

Notes:
I wish that the closing models during musical performances would get more screentime.

They did not reuse as many old wings, which was nice. They did draw inspiration from old wing designs though (Jasmin - Miranda in Aquatic Angels; Liu - Karmen in Super Angels; also thought Behatis wing was a smaller version of Sui He's Goddesses wing, for some reason they looked much bigger back in 2017; Gigi - Alex in Twinkle; Alessandra - a bigger version of Behatis mask shoulder wings from Angel Ball)

The cuts did not feel as rushed as in other years, which was great.

I like that apart from the PINK girls most of the models got two outfits.
