Yeah, humans definitely have the worst reputation . Its hard to say what type of fish I think tastes best although fresh samon is definitely the healthiest. I wouldn't say that I'm a great fisherman by any stretch, but its just another excuse to be in nature. I could actually be a good hunter if I wanted too seeing as how I'm a very good shot with a rifle, but I just don't care for shooting animals too much. I didn't know that about the killer whales even though I figured the killer part of the name implied that there was more to them than playing with beach balls though of course. I did learn at some point that they hunt in packs somewhat like wolves do.

Yeah, they do, and they are extremelly inteligent at that. Have you seen how they manage to get a seal who rescues himself on the iceberg into the water? They create a formation and underrun the iceberg several times to create strong vawes that would just splash the poor seal into the water where they can get him.

And that´s just the bit of it. They cooperate amazingly well!

I think I might have turned the channel on that one . As to their softer side though, I did find it amazing to learn that they are believed to actually pass on specific traditions down to successive generations simular to humans. At least I assume they meant aside from the general aspects of how to survive and such that is.

Mhmm yep. Been able to catch quite a few events this Olympics since I'm working from home. But the way our country broadcasts the Olympics really pisses me off. NBC currently has the rights to broadcast the Olympics here and what they do is bundle up all the popular events, e.g. mens & womens gymnastics, any swimming events with Phelps, mens 100 meter sprint, any MUST SEE event, and they broadcast it all via "Primetime" which is usually around 7PM-12AM here to catch as many viewers and higher ratings as they can. So technically we can't watch any of the must see events most Americans want to view live as there is more money to be made to rebroadcast it all on the Primetime TV slot. That's what really has been crappy about the Olympics for me, just the aspect of how dominating NBC is over what is aired first or not. But by the time 7 o'clock hits, many local NBC news outlets or the internet have giving away the results to many events. So I try hard all day to run from the TV when I hear SPOILER ALERT! LOL, gotta love NBC eh?

Sounds awful! :yuckky: It really makes me appreciate the BBC coverage here. Their main channel, BBC1, is given over entirely to the Olympics (apart from a few news programmes) 24 hours a day. Two other channels, BBC3 and a special extra Olympic channel, provide Olympic coverage during the day on terrestrial TV but if you have satelite TV I'm told that, depending on what events are occuring, you can get up to 24 channels of Olympic coverage! Jealous yet? :brows:

Having said all that, I'm working night shifts during most of the games so I'm just seeing the overnight highlight programmes on BBC1, so personally, I'm jealous of the measly 5 hours a day that NBC give you.

I'll be in my element this autumn, what with Red Dwarf, Doctor Who and Merlin all returning in quick succession.

Yep, I'm looking forward to all those too. Looks like a good Autumn season, particularly Doctor Who, the trailer looks impressive. Are you a Doctor Who fan, Jennka? I have to say though that I'm not impressed that Doctor Who's regular foreign shoot is in the US once again. I suspect pressure from BBC America. <_<

Freja did a video for Zara

Yea, I did- at least for Barbara Palvin. Too young looking. I've never heard of J.S or KR, though, will check them out. I don't generally go for women that look really young, though :-)

I´ve seen Freja back in work? She looked gorgeous in those ads, but I don´t remember which company it was for

Have you ever told me your opinion on Barbara Palvin? Or Josephine Skriver? Or Kinga Rajzak?

24 channels That's a whole lot of gold, silver, and bronze there. I'm a tad envious I admit We have cable here and get about 4 channels that run coverage off and on, mostly concentrating on Olympic events then the traditional programming of course. And a few of those channels do offer a few LIVE Olympic events but generally the less popular sports and events. NBC is quick to make sure to grab all the must see events and bundle them up for the end of the day...$$$ calls, no way they're missing out on that opportunity. But one can watch all the events live via their website but it's just not the same as over a nice big flat panel TV in HD

Me too, lol. I also blame the summer I've speculated that BZ becomes more populated in the winters, since people tend to spend more time indoors.

So what Olympic events have you been keeping an eye on J?

Not really on anything, but when I catch something on TV a watch it I watched Brasil play volleyball and there was this tall dark haired player that I found so beautiful and guess what - she´s in a TV spot with Gisele

So the Olympics are over now your thought?

Slovakia has been dissapointed this year - there were few surprises, but it was worse than the previous ones.

Me too! I'll be in my element this autumn, what with Red Dwarf, Doctor Who and Merlin all returning in quick succession. I was getting worried, since the Olympics is drawing to a close this month, that I may have to contemplate going outside.

Now that would be a horror, wouldn´t be?

You must go outside - birdwatching!!

No, not a fan here - or rather, I do not watch the series, although I´ve heard about it and many, many people praised it to heavens, how great it is and so I just didn´t get to it, and I have too little time to watch TV. Actually, I have seen almost NO new series at all when it comes to it
