Wouldn't it be more beneficial for a baby (and you of course ) to quit before pregnancy? So that your body can 'detox' all this smoking?

My mum used to be a social smoker but one day I told her I don't want her to smoke and she stopped.... I have no idea whether it's because I'm so influential or because she didn't really like cigarettes that much to begin with

Ha, no worries, I COMPLETELY understand how you feel about exercising alone. I'm the same way here aside from a few runs here and there with Jen I just feel odd having someone stare at me as I sweat, huff & puff as I go about my run or strength training. Plus, I need to go at my own pace and not wait up on some else. Luckily, the in-laws were okay with me taking up some of their garage space for my little gym, has everything I need and then some. So I have no excuses for adding those 15 lbs

Have you tried a run outdoors, just you and your MP3 player? Good way to get the daily exercise and not worry about family/friends peering in at your routine.

I was always curious to know if you had ever done any martial arts. I know you said that you didn't care for boxing, but I didn't know whether you might like Tai Chi or something for recreational purposes . I've always found martial arts pretty fun although I tend to be disappointed at how undisciplined some in the field are in terms of self control (that is using it to settle disputes with force outside of self defense or protecting someone). I'm only particularly good at (aside from general street fighting ability) Maui Thai, Krav Maga, Greco Roman wrestling and American boxing and decent with Kenjutsu and Combat Ki. A Russian friend of mine showed me some basic Sambo and I really liked that too.

Hi Jennka,

Sorry I haven't been on much lately but things should quieten down at work over the next month so maybe I'll be on more then. Hope you're well, noticed you're sometimes not on for some days as well.

What kinds of discussions you have there?

I don't think I've ever been to Daria's thread more than a couple times . The last time I went, there was some debate about her and how old her boyfriend was or something and I figured, 'screw this, I already have her editorials anyway' . I don't have as much of the runway stuff as I'd like though.

Good to hear Fl likes Sambo, but we all knew he had good taste anyway . Some of those I've only dabbled in as friendly travelers showed me a thing or two here and there. Aside from general streetfighting ability, I'm probably the best at Krav, Boxing and Greco seeing as how they don't take as long to become good at compared to the Aikidos, Kung Fus ect. I'm pretty good at Maui Thai, but a Thai guy I knew told me that you haven't really 'mastered' it until you broke a fibula or tibia in your training, so needless to say...I haven't mastered it .

Its all good fun though.

A random thought that may sound strange, but I figured you might understand. It seems that there are some women that I admire for their beauty, looks ect. but I wouldn't actually be interested in actually dating . Its hard to make a man understand this because the first reaction is 'yeah right.' The thing is though, there are some women I know who I find amazingly attractive, but the kindof superficial spending all day at the mall and looking at my nails kindof femininity for some reason isn't my thing. Of course, she could have more to offer as a person, so I wouldn't totally rule her out, but still. The mall thing isn't about the money either and I don't mind even coming along sometimes, so its hard to express I suppose. All things being equal, I guess I prefer something somewhat more uninhibited maybe? At least the relationships I've enjoyed the most were ladies who were either equally femenine but not so much on that extreme or somewhat tomboyish but still femenine. Its hard to explain anyway .

What do you guys think of models.com's top 50?

http://models.com/rankings/ui/Top50

-A lot of familiar faces, and quite amazingly, Freja is at #11 even though she has done little for the past two years. Nimue was #34 on this list but now she's out (probably due to inactivity).

You´re lucky one! To have your own place to exercise, hmmm

I tried several times, just the terrain always caught me unprepared lots of hills around our place I seem to have weak lungs for this thing - I can walk for miles without getting exhausted, but as for running, I´m really a short-distance runner. Even at school, I was always a sprinter rather than a long-distance runner.

But I´m planning to get on the running train every-year. This one too so we´ll see

Yes, I too did have some rough times of my own but things are slowly getting better and I´m feeling at peace once again - not all the time, but considerably better than before

How about the house, anything new there?

Most posts only get one or two comments but it's good to know someone finds the post interesting enough to comment even if it's only one person. This post sparked of an interesting exchange though.

That was a pretty story and well-written article at that and a nice discussion, never knew that wearing saree can be so dificult and complicated! It seems like an art itself! Tell me more about that, Tran, if you may

Mentioning Paddington Bear reminded me that there is a 'life sized' statue of Paddington bear in Paddington station.

This may not look like the bear in the TV series but it does look like the original book illustrations.

I like it looks very beautiful. What do you know about its´ story?

I understand it absolutely. Maybe because I´m a woman? Who knows There are many women who are good to look at but... that´s all. Like there´s nothing else to them. Shopping? Talking about nails? I mean - are you kidding me? No one can call that a valuable conversation. I know many men just want to fuck them and leave them anyway, but still... if you´re looking for a relationship, I can absolutely understand why such women don´t attract you much

I really like women who are fun to be with (well, same goes for men). If a woman can make fun out of her ownself - it´s a win.

So, the men around you do not understand this kind of thing? That you are not interested in dating those kind of women?

Not many of my favourites in there contemplate.gif

Gotta say though, that cover of Karlie's is amazing (Y)

Lots of interesting faces, and some of my favs as well

Can anyone familiarize me more with Joan Smalls? I mean, I hear her name everywhere, she´s number one on so many lists, yet she doesn´t impress me much.

How about you guys?

I admit, it's nice to have such a place and not worry about and dam gym membership. Here is a pic of our little gym I took a bit back

DSCN2309.jpg

Ah I see, well it certainly takes good training to get the lungs up to par and the legs and overall muscle and stamina in gear for such hilly terrain runs. Not and easy task to accomplish, no way around that one. But heck, nothing out of reach either. I guess as long as you find a entertaining workout that doesn't bore you that's always a good route to take

Hehe, tell me how the running train goes then

Oh, there´s everything one could possible crave for in a gym! I love it.

Oh, we started talking about exercising, and since fl works, I have some free days when I can work out alone. So I started. First day was ok, my body ached, but not that much. So I went further and exercised more, and longer - guess how I ended? The whole of my body is in pain for the second day already and I walk like a robot! Oh hell. It only takes a soft touch to make me "ouch" and fl is quite enjoying it from time to time but one day I´ll heal and... and... well, I´ll just continue in working out
