The trophy is for 2013 but Subotic's goal line clearance will be forever. You did us proud, boys and we'll never forget it.

Sad to see Dortmund lose in such a manner.
Even sadder to see Robben as the hero... ![]()

One reputation as a big-game bottler shaken off by Robben, another acquired by the referee for not issuing Dante with a deserved second yellow for the penalty incident. Like many before him, the ref decided that because it was a huge final, some of the rules didn't actually have to be applied properly. He saw the foul, gave the penalty and realised Dante would have to walk, but didn't have the gumption to see it through. Such a tough break for Dortmund. Still, a breathtaking game with a brilliant atmosphere. Hats off to both teams and their fans.
As the old poem goes, Nemanja Vidic should have been sent off in 2010 League Cup final but wasn't, Uli Hoeness should pay his taxes but doesn't.

Can we all hope that Pep somehow flops at Bayern :yuckky: ?

Hughes to Stoke a done deal. Says he wants to make them more offensive. Sometimes the jokes just write themselves. ![]()

Jose Mourinho headed back to Chelsea. Respect to everyone involved for doing such a good job of keeping it under wraps until now. ![]()
Mourinho, 50, replaces Rafael Benitez after leaving Real Madrid, and has signed a four-year contract.

What price the fans now pack away their A4 protest signs and forget all about poor Roberto Di Matteo?

I trust that Chelsea supporters will keep the 16th minute applause in honour of 'Robbie' going for...oh.

Only interest stems from learning little asides like Eric Lichaj's middle name, to be honest. Or the existence of the brilliantly named Joshua Richard Charles Darren Morgan Webb, once of Reading.
Meanwhile my club has done the unthinkable and moved early in the summer market. Here he is, sensitively photographed by the avfc.co.uk gang. Welcome aboard, Aleksandar Tonev!

It would be nice to see Isco come on? Oh Lawro. ![]()

Stick to the 'passive' aggressive hilarity of your little snidey asides, Mark, you blithering sociopath.

Welcome you pair of handsome devils!

Joe Kinnear's hilarious appointment as Newcastle's new director of football confirmed. Who the hell is Yohan Kebab? ![]()
I love the way Mighty Joe Kinnear has swashbuckled his way back into the big time! Not since Frank Butcher's re-emergence on Albert Square has a crook from the past caused such bewildering carnage so quickly! He's a penguin shaped mulleted old school pudger lost in a world of metrosexuals and coalition government. Its not back to the future, its future to the back!

Several newspapers have already savaged that Talksport interview. He's starting with minus one billion credit from the hacks. ![]()
