Well... Just like George Clooney in "The Boys in the Boat" made rowing look thrilling director Luca Guadagnino somehow managed to make tennis looking hot (literally the last time I witnessed so much sweating was in ELVIS lol) - and with that I really mean the game and not the story around it. I also for probably the first time understand the fuss about Zendaya imo. She easily was the standout here. I also think it's pretty rare to see a woman in the superior role of not only 1 but 2 men in this menage trois. Me for my part was fascinated by their kinda ill-fated dynamic but wouldn't say I found their relationship sexy. I also didn't really ship any of them together. It was kinda weird for a so called promoted "erotic thriller" this is why I wrote not really what I expected earlier. But maybe all of this was exactly intended. It's def watchable though and even worth a rewatch I would claim. Sometimes I can a movie fully appreciating when I watch it a 2nd time knowing what's coming expectations erased.

The closest to the first 2 original movies from the entire franchise, which is why it works so well @Jade Bahr The old scheme + some new details. As a fan of 70s movie I loved it. Cailee Spaeny was a standout💯

FINALLY

Holy wow, thanks for the detailed analysis! I'll watch it when it comes available (for free).

Probably very unpopular but I love this movie. It's so romantic 😭
Love them so much

Teens can be cruel. But there's also hope.

An extremely absurd and uncomfortable movie about human obsession with being accepted (I guess). Felt like a bad dream in which some weird shit happens in a "normal setting" (I enjoyed tho😅). Performances 10/10. Mindfuck 11/10. Liminality of spaces 10/10. @Jade Bahr

Hope I can manage to watch the film in the course of next week (it's so long lol). Can't wait
How big is Joe's role?

Not so much of him actually. The movie has 3 different stories, different characters, but the same cast. In the first two stories, he appears for just a few seconds.

Not that bad.
But I'm really into Wyatt Russell so I think that helps a lot LOL
I think he's one of my faves low keys nepo babes @Lilja K
Technically the worst (because he was a murderous but also complex bitch)
but still hottest Capt America and I'll die on that hill.
Even if Bucky didn't agree 😄

I like this movie but sometimes it's really schmaltzy - the cringey dialogs + the medicore stiff acting etc
Definitely too long, the story boring and pointless that at some points I was close to fast forwarding lol

This won 11 oscars? How? Yeah I see you Weinstein.
