Well, Frederick's was kicking my ass, then I found this site. After going all the way through it, twice, I've managed to figure out how to get the pictures bigger from there. It's not elegant, and somebody else can probably do this better. I had to use the temp. internet files method and then convert a .swf to a .jpg. Anyway...
Find a picture that you like, as here:
http://www.fredericks.com/Buckled_Open_Mes....html?cgid=li19
extract the product number from the page url, in this case "46952" (without the quotes)
and paste it into this url, in place of the x's:
http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/image/Fredericks...0,0,0&scl=2
so you get: http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/image/Fredericks...0,0,0&scl=2
you can see there's a magnification factor on the end. here's the weird thing - bigger numbers made the picture smaller, and smaller numbers (like, 1) made the picture bigger. i decided on 2, because it gave me a good picture, fairly sharp, while using 1 seemed too blurry to me.
so that's my contribution. Now who can tell us how to get the no-kidding big pictures instead of the stretch method I figured out?
thanks in advance!
marin

Your pic bigger:
http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/image?src=/Frede...;size=1500,2000

there is a "shop our catalogs" tab in the bottom of the site ,and that catalog is swf http://www.luckybrand.com/scene7FallDenim/...default,pg.htmli mean:
http://s7d3.scene7.com/is/image/LuckyBrand...uW0&fmt=swf
and when zoomed its in tiles and blurry
http://s7d3.scene7.com/is/image/LuckyBrand...l=1&fmt=swf

thanks for the help with Frederick's, forzachievo. I knew somebody here would figure it out. There are some real wizards contributing here, and you are among them.
THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

I searched for Grazia but nothing came up?

I've seen a couple of people asking how to get tommy hilfiger images larger. I've messed around and come up with something; as always, one of you wizards may figure out how to do it better...
Go to the website and find a picture you like - the product page url will look like this:
http://usa.tommy.com/tommy/browse/productD...;skuColorId=415
Extract the prduct ID from that url. In this case it is RH72T001.
You also have to extract the color ID of the item, in this case it is 415.
Then, for some reason, you need to add the letters OB and FNT. I assume that FNT has to do with front, but who knows?
Then you need to insert all that into the following URL:
http://s7d3.scene7.com/is/image/ShopTommy/...mp;op_sharpen=1
where the x's represent the product ID and the y's represent the color ID.
So when done, it'll look like this:
http://s7d3.scene7.com/is/image/ShopTommy/...mp;op_sharpen=1
1000x1000 is as large as I've been able to get it to go. Bigger is always appreciated, if anyone has suggestions!

People seem desperate to know, and 4za-chievo hasn't picked up the baton. So let me give a short tutorial about using Scene 7 image servers. The API is documented at http://crc.scene7.com/is-docs if you want to know more. Yes, Cynthia, sometimes documentation is worth reading...
Marinf77 suggests the URL
http: //s7d3.scene7.com/is/image/ShopTommy/RH72T001_415_OB_FNT?wid=1000&hei=1000&fmt=jpeg&qlt=100%2c0&op_sharpen=1
http://s7d3.scene7.com/is/image/ShopTommy/...mp;op_sharpen=1
Let's pick that apart and see if it can be improved and simplified. First of all, the op_sharpen=1 causes some post-processing to be done on the image, with the aim of overcoming the lack of apparent contrast that results from scaling the image down. Since we're not aiming to retrieve an image that's been scaled down much, we're better off without it.
Second, the qlt=100%2c0 (equivalent to qlt=100.0) causes the image to be rendered as a JPEG with a quality factor of 100%. That means a large file (479KB). Omitting this component and using the default quality factor of 85% results in a much smaller image (61KB) and quicker downloads, without any noticeable reduction in quality. The qualifier fmt=jpeg can be omitted too, since it is the default.
And we may as well specify scl=2 rather than an explicit width and height, so that the proportions of the image are automatically maintained. So the URL,
http: //s7d3.scene7.com/is/image/ShopTommy/RH72T001_415_OB_FNT?scl=2
http://s7d3.scene7.com/is/image/ShopTommy/...15_OB_FNT?scl=2
works just as well, if not better. The factor of 2 is the amount the raw image is scaled down before the image is sent to us. If we try to get a bigger image by replacing scl=2 with scl=1.5 or scl=1, then we find that the image server can be configured to limit the maximum size of image, and that limit is set to 1000 pixels on this server.
But because of a misfeature of the Scene 7 image server, there's a different size limit for images that are served via an alternative scheme, and this size limit is often not properly configured on the server. This is the 4za trick: as I remember it, I discovered it and told Forzachievo about it, but then on several occasions he's had to remind me of it when I've forgotten. (We go back a long way.) Here's the URL:
http: //s7d3.scene7.com/is/image?src=/ShopTommy/RH72T001_415_OB_FNT&scl=1
http://s7d3.scene7.com/is/image?src=/ShopT...B_FNT&scl=1
In practice, the limit often seems to be 2000 pixels for this scheme. The bikini shot is actually 2000 x 1999 pixels full size, so we've got the whole, unscaled image by this method. If the image were larger, you'd have a choice between setting scl= whatever number gives an image that's 2000 pixels or smaller, or downloading the image as several tiles and pasting them together. Such is the case at freemans.com, for example, where scl=1.1 is the best you can do.
The API does let you download selected portions of an image as tiles at full scale and then assemble them, but you need automated software or the patience of a saint to make this practical -- a whole other story.
Happily for us, the Scene 7 image server seems to be getting more and more popular, so these methods work on many sites.

Thanks so much for that Scene 7 tutorial, James!
Thanks for taking us to school, James! That was awesome!!!

Thank you Professor J@mes for your splendid lecture, a closer look tour through the scene7-universe.
I used this tool/method as a simple byepass but now I know why this is mysteriously working.

How can I get the HQ-Zoom-Images from Elie Tahari?
http://www.elietahari.com/womens-designer-...r_to_work_women
A zoom image opens but I can't find the URL of that pic. Only the tiny pic is showing:
http://cdn.fluidretail.net/customers/c1444...RB1_324x477.jpg

At Frederick's, marinf77 suggests the URL
http: //s7d5.scene7.com/is/image/Fredericks/46952_main?layer=comp&op_sharpen=1&resMode=sharp2&op_usm=1,0,0,0&scl=2
http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/image/Fredericks...0,0,0&scl=2
In this, the components layer=comp has no visible effect, whil the op_sharpen, resMode and op_usm have to do with contrast enhancement, which we don't want. So a better URL would be
http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/image/Fredericks/46952_main?scl=2
Any blurring was likely the result of the unwanted contrast enhancement, so we may as well use
http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/image/Fredericks/46952_main?scl=1
to get the image at full resolution. On this image server, the 4za trick is not needed.
A better pic IMHO is this alternate view. But perhaps I am becoming more fetishistic in my dotage.

But it will take some time to work out the general rule.

Fantastic witchcraft! And that pic is showing this girl from head to toe.
I am trying to find out what's going on! Interesting zoom variation!

http://cdn.fluidretail.net/customers/c1444...904M611_PDP.xml
is metadata that lists the zoom images, including separate images for different colourways.

That is genious. If you have the metadata of one pic you can also find that of the other pics. Great!
btw - I tried to enter "http://cdn.fluidretail.net/customers/c1444/" before but it was blocked. Can't imagine how you could find the metadata of a picture I couldn't even locate.
