I frequently came across Joeh but can't remember him being impolite or offending, maybe he just had a bad day and a friendly PM to behave better would be enough?

Guys, I just wanted to make it known that I've sent MOVIE SP an informal warning regarding the posting of illegal movie rips. Have already binned 40+ threads of the stuff. He (or she) has been at it all day. <_<

About the earlier discussion: I PMed jOEh that he's being monitored to see whether the reproaches against him are true. Kiki had sent me a PM with links to disputes with jOEh and I thought it could do no harm if he thinks he's being watched.

I guess things seem to be going somewhat smoothly for now .

I also got a message from COP saying to keep an eye on them and from Limer asking if the ignore function could be upgraded to there being no record at all of their existence .

Hmmm... I was always under the impression that COP, Lu and LMS were the best of pals.

So LMS and Lu are talking in LMS thread - isn't that "private" enough? I mean they are not openly insulting anyone, are they? ... although it would be better if they move such talk to PM - and as I already said to Joe, soeone should tell them -, why are Pretty and COP visiting her thread if they have an argument going on, wouldn't it be easier to just ignore it since no one not involved understands what's going on anyways ...

There are others lately such as Prettyphile and Limerlight who they've rub the wrong way too it seems. What I think the issue at hand here with those other three is that they all used to be friends and now LMS and COP are no longer friends, Lu likes COP, but he will side with LMS above all. COP told me not long ago that they are starting their own forum and that Lu randomly sends her messages talking about how she's jealous of LMS ect. and that when she responds back, he says he has no recollection of every saying it. She also says around this time, Lu's posting is becoming more simular to hers at random times and different members say he's really cool one minute and like her the next. COP's theory is that they use each other's accounts sometimes and that he's so loyal to her that he'll never admit it. This is a pretty strange one, so we better keep an eye on them .

How can anyone be so stupid and let someone else use one's account ... O_o ... but anyways, I'll keep an eye on them too since we're frequently meeting in the same threads.

Can you or someone else deal with it this time as we discussed ? Our last several exchanges gave me a headache .

^ A quick update on the situation since my absence please

Hmmm...where to even start...basically, I spent several weeks if not months helping to prove her and Lu weren't the same person and even helped her to get a thread. Recently though, I've been getting reports of members tiring of their spamming in the way of almost any thread they go into, they've hijacked so to speak. I couldn't really do much about it since said posts weren't in violation technically. We had a bit of a falling out when she asked me if Lu could have a thread and I said that I thought the staff would likely vote no since he's generally regarded as a spammer. She then tried to use a subtly manipulative 'I know you don't like me that much' preface, by which I reminded her of the work I did just to keep her here. She responds to that by saying that they didn't get banned because they are so popular here . Since then, I haven't cared for them that much, so have preferred for others to deal with them so that I don't come off as bias in any way because I pride myself in trying to be fair to all. This current issue is a recent development though.

^ Thanks for the briefing Joe I remember a few members suspecting LMS/SL are the same member. I also remember investigating their IP addresses and discovering they shared a few similar ones.

This issue is a tough one b/c it is inevitable. It is so easy to troll and and create various personas online. I guess it is a matter of whether someone gets caught or not, and how much it will affect other members.

Would informing her again that we suspect she might have multiple accounts be of any help? Is there anyone on the staff she is "ok" with? If she is willing to come clean I think we could maybe excuse her just this time.

I don't believe it, she's really having multiple accounts? And she feels too popular to get banned? What the hell is going on in people's minds ... Anyway, I'm not that into the IP-thingy, how safe is it that those are all her profiles? IPs change with every new internet session, don't they? I wouldn't want to falsely accuse her, but I don't mind being the one asking her for an explanation.

^ That is true but the sequence are often the same (especially the first 4 or so numbers). That's why it is a good idea to investigate on the IP address before we consider a ban to pretty much rule out the likeliness it is a public IP address (such as ones from a city-wide wi-fi and etc). That is not to say people cannot mask their IP address---that is another topic that is not relevant to this one.

She's on a Static IP not a Dynamic IP which means her IP is going to stay the same the entire time unless she uses a virtual private network to change her IP that or she goes over to a friends house and signs up a new account from there.

Those 5 accounts were made from the same computer. I'm pretty willing to go out on a limb and say she's made all those accounts with the soul purpose of her being able to raise and lower people's popularity star thing on their profile page. She's kinda sad like that.
