Search index is created after the post rebuild which is at 15%, just have to wait I guess

Can one of the admins go to the admin panel and check the Emoticons (Customization -> Emoticons) and see if the "names" are correct. I didnt use all of them so I fixed the ones I knew but some look incorrect. Thanks

Now that we have a new version of IPB could we increase the size of the banner? If so, what is the new maximum size? I am planning to hold a new banner contest soon since we only have one more banner left to put up. Also @maddog107, do you have the image to the BZ logo---do we even have an "official" BZ logo? If not, I would like that to be part of the competition as well. All I need are the specifications. Thanks!

Very slow, yes its rebuilding the search index and I just noticed that its using some old legacy engine that does full table locks (bad). I am fixing it and hopefully it will be better in the next hour or so.

Regarding the banner, what size were you thinking, it already takes up a big chunk of "above the fold" on my 15" laptop, im sure 13" will be even worse. What size screen are you using? 

Regarding the logo, I think that logo was part of the competition was it not  and I think the bz in cursive is our unofficial "logo" which someone came up with in a competition as well. As long as it looks good I dont mind getting a new logo

What do you guys think of something like this for a maybe landing page, at least its more visually appealing for a new users coming for the first time then just a ton of text.

They are using the same software as us. Of course we can make it more elegant and probably more streamlined/simple. 

Also I still want to create on the main page some sort of custom articles, talking about whatever fashion related. From our Model of the Month or BZ Logo competition or what not. Again this could be a paid type position if necessary and anyone is interested.

My screen is 15". The current banner is 480 x 164 so I was thinking maybe have it 500 x 165. However viewing the site on my iPod the banner we have does look quite large so maybe we should keep the size as is---or maybe even slighty smaller? What do you think?

For the logo is there any specifications besides the color?

Thats how Chilax use to be, obviously we would make it more to our times but just something apart from the front page index of the forum. 

Issue:  I recall having about 7800 posts prior to the rebuild.  Post rebuild, the content read is 7.467; so roughly 400 posts have disappeared.  I made a quick check of some of my posts and have discovered blank templates where there were once photos and videos (you tube and vimeo).   Any explanation for these vanishing posts? Did this happen to anyone else?  

Would it be helpful to provide links to some of them?

Yes please post any info you have to help debug the issue.

Regarding the post count, the old software would not remove your post count should a post be deleted, so everyone has a bit more posts than in reality (some were even set arbitrarily high by hand) and one of the tasks that the upgrade ran was to recount everyone's post count. So its possible that it just adjusted appropriately, but if you are pretty sure a reply is missing let me know and I can investigate. 

I love the old Chilax look and would love to see BZ have something like it!

For some reason I cannot access the site via FireFox. I cleared my cahce & etc.---no luck. However I could access t6he site IE and Safari on my iPod  Hope this gets resolved soon b/c I don't like using IE
