^ I don't see any disclaimer anywhere. I also went to the site you directed me to and cannot find any of my posts from yesterday, nor can I retrieve any of the edits I made in Adriana's Gen Disc thread ![]()

er sorry.

The new moderatoCP is awesome, but how can I find out the IP address of a member now?
Still haven't found where I can look up the member's IP ... ![]()

Does the Member Lookup tool and the IP Address tool under the MCP not work? ![]()
How did you look up members' IP addresses on the old forum? Maybe if you tell us that we could better resolve this ![]()
I only got the IP look up tool in the MCP. With the old version there was a "member look up tool" where you inserted the name of the member (or simply some letters) and get the IP adress(es). Now it seems I can only edit the member in question, but I haven't seen the his IP anywhere ... maybe its just me being needing glasses? ![]()

^ Ahhh...ok. I see what you mean now. I think they no longer let us view members' IP addresses when we do a Member Look Up. I am not sure why they would get rid of that option---it was very helpful! The only option we have outside of the ACP is the IP Address Look-up Tool which is not always very reliable or accurate. More misses than hits. We will brainstorm a way to troubleshoot and/or work with what we have. Or wait for The Boss to "fix" it ![]()
MD: Is there a plugin-in we can download that would resolve the issue?
Some info about the MCP. Great reading material for all of us: http://community.inv...-control-panel/

I will get to these issues, but for now I am just trying to fix the more pressing performance issues and major show stopping bugs.
I promise I will get around to these things, but hopefully we can survive for a few days without them, sorry ![]()

^ No rush. We just making a list and taking notes so you can get to it whenever you can. Thanks for helping.
EDIT: It doesn't seem like we can add notes to a member's account anymore. Could you check on a solution when you have time? Thanks ![]()

Maddog, a more general point: I get the feeling like sub-forums and individual threads alike are loading slower since the upgrade...
What, but How are we supposed to check if newly registered members already have accounts if we don't get to see their IPs anymore? I'm really hoping maddog will find a solution here ... No time pressure though, I can wait with playing detective ... ![]()
So what about the size for signatures? It isn't 600x140 anymore?

^ It is currently set up as 600 x 400. Not sure was this by default or Maddog meant to set it up this way. I personally think this is too big however we could definitely discuss a different size that is slightly bigger than 600 x 140 if we like ![]()

Um yea thats kinda tall, please change it back to 140 or whatever other size you guys think is appropriate.

^ I will updated it back to the original until we decide otherwise.
Should we also revert avatars back to 150 x 150 (until we decide otherwise) or keep it as what we currently have (2000 x 2000)?

Thats a bug that I need to sort out, Ideally the "crop" function would work. That way you upload whatever you want, crop it, server does some magic on the backend to compress it, and its saved as 150x150. I will look into it later. Still messing with the DB to optimize some reallly slow queries
Before: # Query_time: 12.963119 sec
After: # Query_time: 1.0681 sec
, still a bit slow but better.

Like if you right click my avatar and say open image in new tab, its huge right?

^ Yes. So does that also mean when an oversized image is embedded the system will auto resize?
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out and made the adjustment. Anything over 600 px will be resized accordingly.
I think we should stick to the old sizes regarding the sig, 600x140 and the written line rule. Otherwise a thread will be too crowded ... as for the avi I'm kinda indifferent, I wouldn't mind bigger ones, but I'm perfectly happy with 150x150 ...

^ I think increasing avatars to 200 x 200 would be nice. It shouldn't affect the loading speed of the board too much ![]()
