Mad, another thing - about the female model history: you probably remember that I took care about it when it crashed and devided it into different posts to avoid a crash in the future (apparently the post got too big). Now I saw that some of the links are broken, I guess that's due to the new update. Can we make an exception just for the model directory to allow more links into one post? If that isn't possible, I will devide it into more posts, which isn't a problem. I just thought I'd ask ![]()

EDIT: Nevermind, mad, I started re-organizing it ![]()

Dayrell sent me a PM telling me, for the past week he cannot attach/upload pictures onto our server. I made sure he followed all the correct steps but still no luck. However when I logged onto his account and tried to attach an image it worked fine.
Most of the images he is attaching are jpegs under 500k and the browser he is using is Firefox. Until we fix this he is going to use an external host.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how we could resolve this?

That's a weird one, I browse with Firefox and though I rarely use the attachment function, I tested it out just now and it was fine. ![]()

Maybe he can try Chrome or IE just to see? I am updating the forum in the coming week (waiting for a point release patch) which may resolve some issues.

Another issues with attachments. PM from brazilianaffair...
hi PinkCouture... i'm writing you because lately all pics uploaded through the website are not showning to me, not only the ones i uploaded, but other members' pics as well... only pics shared via imagebam, imageshack and other external websites appear to me.... is there something wrong?
I checked his/her attachment settings and it looked fine. I was able to upload images via his/her account without any issues, However he/she is right about attachments not always showing up in general (ex. http://www.bellazon....00#entry3081672 and http://www.bellazon....20#entry3082761). Since our recent "downtime" some attachments are not showing up ![]()

^Received a bunch of reports this afternoon about the very same issue. I'm assuming for now that it's simply a part of the temporary image problem mentioned by Maddog in 'site & forum', but I'll keep an eye on it all the same. For what it's worth, the attachment function is still working just fine at my end. ![]()

^ Thanks Michael* ![]()

attachments from Dec 6th -> Jan 8th or whatever are missing. Ones before that time should be present. Ill let you know once they are back.

Thanks Guys!!! ![]()

Good work guys
. A bit late on that

Although it is not explicitly stated anywhere in BZ's rules and guidelines, it is my understanding that all posts should be in English - as a courtesy to the vast majority of members who read and understand only English. Increasingly, though, members are posting newspaper or magazine articles that are not in English. I have handled this issue by requesting translations (which are usually provided), requesting links to the articles, or I will delete the post leaving a link to the publications.
The deletion/link editing action has upset some members.....and I really cannot blame them. Example below is from Leonardo DiCaprio's Actor Thread:

MauiKane, I'm sure most of the ppl won't read the article written in the magazine, most of the ppl (including myself sometimes) just look at pics, it's not a text it's .jpg format and none's ever told us not to post non-English images
if anyone can and would love, they'll translate, we're not writing it in non-English language ![]()
My point is: Administrators...Please discuss/compose/post a general rule about posts being in English and guidelines regarding the posting of articles from non-English publications. The sooner ... the better! Thanks!

From my understanding, and we can obviously further discuss this and modify the rules, posts must be in English especially conversations. If someone finds something online that is not in English it is common courtesy to translate it into English and post the link to the original source. Now when it comes to scans, PDFs, images of articles & etc. it gets a little tricky. My thoughts are it is ok for members to post this type of content however we should encourage members to also post in English a summary of the text.
What are your thoughts? ![]()

^ Great, Pink.. just as you stated it. Policy is fair and reasonable.
I notice that you have not heard from any other administrators or moderators. That is unfortunate, because I encounter the problem frequently in the Sports and Leonardo Actor forums. I certainly will not mind it if you make an executive decision and post this new rule/guideline. Thank you for your quick response. ![]()

Thanks, Pink, for the updated rule on posting Non-English content and for posting it in the forums as a major announcement, but especially for posting the new policy in Leonardo DiCaprio's Actor's thread where it was sorely needed. You are the BEST!

I concur ![]()

MD: Could you disable the "Image" button in the post box? It confuses members and they end up accidentally hotlinking because of it ![]()
Thanks! ![]()

Can we just remove the hotlink rule
People really need to learn to disable it themselves if they dont want it hotlinked...
Anyways I dont think I can modify the editor as its a 3rd party plug in that IPB uses, Ill look but I think its not easy to edit.
