we need to somehow contact ipb and tell the he's fuckin around on his board and doing stupid shit...to get them to shut it down....i hear he harasses some of the girls.

Might be possible, though I don't think we wan't them looking to cloasely at this board either, if you catch my meaning. I don't know what IPB could do in regards to this board seeing as it's not on their servers, but they might be able to close his ass down.

I just saw in the Motion avatar thread, hiro mentioned stopping guest posting. I seriously think we need to do this now, I mean it may not stop the most persistant people, but it may deter some of the others who don't want to take the time and register. I do not see the great benefit of having guests continue to post.

I got an email from Avada today, in which she mentioned the same thing in regards to guest posting. She also said that she has been staying away from the board as of late, due to the thing that went on in Ana's candid thread. I don't know if she is going to stay, or if she plans to just not come around anymore. I replied and told her not let it get to her, so hopefully she will decide to stay, if she had planned to leave.

lullaby has said that about guests too and i have been preaching it for awhile....avada doesnt seem to be on the internet today and lullaby is....they are good friends too.

lullaby also suggested we do like lime light and turn of registering and only turn it on once in awhile...that we we have members who post and not have idle members.

i turned off guest and banned posting as well as validating posting.

Yeah, I checked the other day, and we have just over 500 members with zero posts.

I don't know though about restricting it. I don't know exactly how limelight is set up, do they have all the misc types of threads like we have here, the music and girl talk stuff, and all that. I'm not a member there, and probably will never be able to get in due to the restriction's and I know how much that sucks.

Avada also mentioned something about, another forum she visits, that restricts members from being able to see the models picture threads or something, or to see the pictures in the threads, until they reach a certain post count, that way they kind of have to earn it. And Pips are also restricted before they reach a certain post count, that way they can't pip there way up to the amount that allows them to see the threads pictures. Something like that.

I still think we should turn off guest posting, I mean we left it on for a while after switching over, because people were having trouble logging in, now that that is all cleared up, I don't really see a reason to leave that option on.

there is also something about the only way to pip and earn is by posting pictures and all the other posts dont count...i heard that thing about earning from none other the lullaby...i turned guest posting off right now...i think doing some restricting will only help.

I haven't got the slightest clue, how we would keep track of all that stuff, without some kind of automated system.

actually...i just went into each forums permission settings and turned of guest posting.

I think you can do it all at once by going into Users and Groups-->Manage User Groups---> Then going into the guest group and scroll down to Posting Permissions, then just selecting no in all the spots where it says, Allow to post new topics, and allow to reply to topics.

The other way works too though.

i just went and turned off all of guest starting topics as well.
