You are definitely not alone in disliking those two. Thankfully neither of them ever try and get me involved in the bullshit. Glad for that.

About the picture posting thing, your right we haven't had any trouble yet, which is good. The Superiorpics board closed down due to the owner being threatened with legal action, or so I read over there, but there might have been other circumstances as well, who knows. I guess ddmscans bought the domain from them though, to open up a HQ only pictures forum.

Thanks for the fix on that pic neo, you got rid of all the fuzz, that was evrywhere.

i think im a shoe in for superior pics since ddmscans is the admin...he taught me everything i know....and i gave him photoshop...im so in that forum....no problem.

Capt: how can I rip a DVD.. I want to make an avatar out of a Shakira performance. Neo would also appreciate.

Umm, you really don't need to rip the dvd to make an avatar, if you have the ability to take screen shots with your dvd player on your computer. That's assuming you wanted to make a animated avatar.

But of course you can do the same thing once it's ripped also.

Download this DVD Decrypter.

Once it's installed, open it up and select which drive you want it to rip from, if you only have one it will select it by default.

Now depending on what you want to do with it after it has been ripped, you will need to change the mode in which it rips the dvd from the disc. If you intend to encode the files afterwards to MPEG, DivX or something similar you will need to select Mode and change it to IFO. From here you can select particular cells from the dvd video. So if you don't want to rip the whole video, only a small portion, you would just have to figure out which cell you want and rip it.

If you intend to burn yourself a back up of the dvd, you will need to set the mode to file mode.It will give you a long list of files on the disc. This mode must be used when you want to make a backup disc as the other modes will not work.

Either way you choose, you will be given a series of files, including the vob files which is your video. So either way you rip the disc, as long as you have something (player, codecs) that can play vob files, you can watch them raw right from your hard drive.

Pretty easy program to use, once you have selected where you want the files to go, just hot the big DVD-->HDD button and it will do the rest for you.

A nice little extra, this program can rip PS2 and Xbox games using the ISO mode, you have to have a modchip to be able to use the backups, but it's still cool.
