So what's the total filesize on Azkids version of the show Neo? Is it only 200 some megs?

It's a torrent in Adriana's motion thread, it's not going so fast though about 50kb, I may just wait for Azkids.

If it ever finishes I think maybe I can get it uploaded, but at the current speed it says it's gonna take 5 hours, not too bad, but my god damn connection keeps cutting out, which doesn't help. <_<

That's pretty big. Are you guys planning on uploading the whole 2.2 gb file for people to download or did you plan on getting it and then having someone encode it smaller? Could probably get it down to 700 megs, almost no quality loss, but it takes time. 350 would be doable too, with some XviD coding, and would still look pretty good, though I don't know what the source looks like, I'm sure it's pretty good.

How far into the transfer are you? You know what pisses me off, my 40k upload speed. They advertise 700+, and say we're getting 356+, which I never knew before only translates into a bullshit 40 kb upload speed. <_<

Anyways, do you know how to use Gordian Knot to convert? Any idea what type of file it is? Mpeg, Uncompressed Avi, vob, they'll all work with gordian knot, but like I said it will probably take an hour or more to convert on a quick computer.

Speaking of which, I need a new computer, it seriously takes roughly 4 minutes just to launch photoshop now.

You don't know your Alexander the Great history. Gordian Knot basically is a term for an unsolvable problem.

Actually what I mentioned is just a video conversion software which is really, really easy to use, the name is somewhat contradictory.

So it's a single file, Mpeg, shouldn't be too difficult to make something adequate and much smaller out of it, but I can't get it from you anytime soon to do it, my bandwidth is all tied up at the moment, with Azureus running, and all my other illgeal downloading business. How far along are you in getting it? Edit: Scratch that, I just saw the screen cap.

Windows should have automatically saved your downloaded chunk in temp, you should be able to resume from where you left off, at least it works that way for me. That's one of the huge problems trying to transfer such a big file.

I think if you get it eventually, it would just be easier for me to show you how to use GK, than to try and transfer it to me or anything.

I should have figured it would be different when not using the windows download function.

Ask Keith to cut it into archives with Winrar, like 200mb a piece, that way you don't lose so much when the download fails. Shouldn't take him more than 5-10 minutes or so to archive the entire file, and output pieces. Then you can just combine them when finished and have the huge file together.
