ok

theres

55,555,556sheets/5000sheets =11,111 total cubic feet of paper

so

11,111cubic feet can go into 7407 cubic feet 1.5times

does that help any?

yes that is also correct, but since every 5000 sheets of paper equal 1 cubic foot, it also equals the total cubic feet of paper

This is what I got for Question 2

2. A) if the average person gets 30 pounds of presents,

how many tons of presents will be on a sleigh?

1,000,000,000people*30lbs per person = 30,000,000,000lbs

of presents divided by 2000(#lbs per ton)=15,000,000 Tons

B) If one reindeer can pull 10 tons, how many reindeer

would santa need?

15,000,000 tons of presents divided by 10(tons per

reindeer)=1,500,000 Reindeer

C) if the average person gets 2 cubic feet of presents,

how many classrooms would be filled with presents?

1,000,000,000 people*2 cubic feet per person = 2,000,000,000 cubic feet of presents.

2,000,000,000 divided by 7407 cubic feet per room = 270,014 Classrooms

I am probably not even close.

We need some more people putting their heads together on this.My brain is fried I haven't done math like this since I was 16.

6 years, I guess the old saying "Use it or Lose it" may be true with me. I used to actually be good at math.

i can't wait till i'm done with math..and with school and with education once and for all. here's what i got already and tell me if it's reasonable:

1. A) To find out how many sheets of paper Santa will need to take with him I need to first find out how many people take up one sheet of paper. To do that I will divide 54 by 3 which is equal to 18. That means that the wishes of 18 people can be feet on 1 sheet of paper. To figure out the total amount of paper I divided 1 billion (the number of people that celebrate Christmas) by 18.

1 000 000 000 : 18=55 555 555.56 sheets of paper Santa will need to take with him.

B) If 5000 sheets of paper weigh 49.766 pounds then we will need to figure out how many blocks of 5000 sheets are there in 55 555 555.56. I divided

55 555 555.56 by 5000 and got 11 111.11111 . To figure out the weight of the list I multiplied the number of blocks 11 111.11111 times 49.766 which is equal to 552 955.5556 pounds. To convert pounds into tons, I first converted them to kilograms by multiplying 552 955.5556 by .454 which equals to 251 041.8222 kg. Then I divided my answer by a 1000 (there is 1000 kilograms in 1 ton) and I got 251.041 tons.

2. A) if the average person gets 30 pounds of presents

I just realized how much presents that is.

I don't get a single ounce of anything for Christmas, 30lbs seems like a ridiculous amount of stuff to me.

May I make a "Lingerie" forum in the Petra Nemcova subforum? and add "swimsuit" to the Sports Illustrated one so it can also be for any swimsuit pics?
