I guess we should get rid of the rule because I don't see a reason to have it if the other members don't adhere to it. And I'm certainly not going to start adding bios and pictures for people who can't do it themselves.

I posted Nicole's reply to my question about what to do with threads that are not in compliance with the new guidelines. The Chilax way was to lock the thread with a comment from one of the admins or mods. The comment would say something like, "You did not start this thread correctly. Please create it again but follow the guidelines posted". I liked this method, but deleting it would provide less cludder on the board.

I sort of like that idea. Perhaps we could do that so they can see that their thread is still around AND get the message that we want it fixed since I know some people will just avoid PMs. Then they can start the new thread and we can remove the old one? Or would that be considered too much work?

Things like what's his name posted with the links to porn and the "amateur models" or whatever tey were would be deleted regardless since that shit is just nasty.

I'm not holding their hand when the how-to is an announcement in every freaking forum. They're big girls and boys. Most have even made it through highschool, I think they are perfectly capable of typing a sentence all on their own. And you know, they can go to imdb or fmd or WHATEVER and just COPY AND PASTE the information if they so desire.

It's not laziness on my part. It's my complete refusal to be someone's cyber nanny.

i am trying to be nice and calm here, but honestly i can't anymore. i love you taha, you know i do, but when you start throwing the word lazy around in our direction i dont appreciate it. we bust our asses to keep this forum running properly, so for you to call us lazy just because we're annoyed at having to do yet another thing that people around here should have the common sense to do is really uncalled for. trust me, it's not laziness at this point. damian makes an effort, PMs the guy and tells him whats wrong, and what does he get in return? another thread started off improperly and the guy telling us mods to suck his balls in his signature. this is where we start getting annoyed and find it easier and perhaps even more effective to just delete the damn thread. what damian was proposing (closing the thread and asking them to start another properly) wasnt a sign of laziness in my opinion. i'm not sure it's the right solution but i dont think he's being lazy by asking people to follow the guidelines that are in plain view for them to see.
