Back to the avatar thing way a long time ago, if someone doesn't hit "remove avatar" and instead just uploads one over the one they have now, it puts the old one into the gallery.
I wonder if removed avatars from the past are in there somewhere, though the only ones I ever remember removing were linked off board. I think that's the usual. Random observation, going now
