^It's weird, when you look at all the press, that she's practically top 3 billing (alongside Adriana and Miranda)! I know she's the fashion-set's darling, but the general press fanfare given to her inclusion is quite something...I absolutely adore Karlie Kloss, just love love love her: I just wanted to make this point fairly obviously before I made this comment. That being said: How in the hell did she get three outfits at this years show?
I wonder what costumes Magdalena Frackowiak was supposed to be wearing - and if Karlie maybe got one of those too? ![]()

Ugh, don't even get me started on Disney. I cry when I watch every movie almost every time, including the Lion King. I actually cry twice during the Lion King: When Mufasa dies and then at the end, just for the sake of crying because it's so beautiful. I cry at the end of Beauty and the Beast when Gaston kills him and then Belle confeses her lover for him and then he regenerates into a human and they live happily ever after. I cry during Colors of the Wind when I watch Pocahontas. And I basically spend the entire movie The Fox and the Hound and Tarzan just bawling my eyes out... Especially Tarzan.I love the Sims soooooo much, but I hardly have any time to play it lately, just like I hardly have any time to come on here. I actually had this one family that I played with for like a mad long time and almost got onto the 4th generation of the family. Seriously, I was so proud of myself.
Oh, Pocahontas
she´s always been my big role model and hero
And I cried almost the whole Fox and the Hound movie
and still, a video from youtube with them two in it and I´m broken
that damn Disney knows it all <_< You know, I hate all the Danielle Steel like movies, and too much of romance makes me actually vomit, but Disney... it always hookes me up ![]()
4th generation?? I was only able to get on 2nd, damn
you´ve must spend hell lot of time on that one ![]()

U has thread now?

You might be on to something there, Baron. That might be the reason why Karlie and Anja got three outfits. I'm not not a hug fan of Magda, so I can't really say for sure, but I definitely think I could imagine her adorning these two outfits:

But, then again, like I said, I'm not a huge fan of Magdalena, so I can't really say for sure.. ![]()

Yup, 4th generation. That being a said, for a while I played the Sims everyday and I only played with that family, which is probably how I was able to keep it going to so long. But, then my computer got a virus and the whole thing crashed and I lost my game. I was really, really pissed. ![]()
I absolutely adore Pocahontas as a Disney princess. She's so strong and confident and independent, which, if you ask me, are not qualities you see in a lot of female Disney characters. However, despite how much I love the character, the historical inaccuracies of that movie just bother me to no end, being the history geek that I am. ![]()

^Well I am a fan, so I've been pondering it a lot!!!I wonder what costumes Magdalena Frackowiak was supposed to be wearing - and if Karlie maybe got one of those too?![]()

By the way, have you seen the George Harrison documentary? I watched all (near enough) four hours of it yesterday, it was worth it just to see how Eric Clapton managed to justify copping off with his first-wife! Lots of Paul (
<is this an 'official' Paul emoticon?!) and Ringo too - one of whom I felt came across better than the other... ![]()

I know
that history inaccuracies were pretty strong, but I´ve learned to oversee it. It was a nice story, well made for the message they wanted to deliver to the wide public. Disney has never been accurate - it´s stories are never trully real, they are here to make fun and deliver message
but, all in all, there are very, very few movies that are historically accurate (and am not talking about documentaries
)
Oh, viruses are always here to please us. I recall something like that happening to me too. I even lost the interest after this happened, and gained it only after a month or so ![]()

My personal opinion is that Magdalena should have worn all of Anja's (somebody, ANYBODY  ), and probably all of Karlie's too!
Actually, the only outfit I know she was supposed to wear was Lais Ribeiro's outfit in the 'Club PINK' section. The more I think about it the more I'm sure Karlie was meant to have 3...

Speaking about Eric Clapton... I downloaded the album of his cooperation with Mark Knopfler two days ago. It´s freakin amazing music. Damn!

Like I said, no hard feelings towards Karlie because I truly to adore her, I just feel that there might've been a couple of other girls walking at the show who were more worthy of three outfits than she was... ![]()
DON'T RUIN IT FOR ME! I have the documentary on my DVR, but I haven't been able to watch it yet. Busy, busy, busy; you know.
On another note, did I ever tell you the story about when I went to Paul McCartney concert over the summer? If I didn't, I went the Paul McCartney concert this previous summer; it was just... Beautiful. So beautiful. But, anyway, I don't want to bore you with my sappy, fangirl feelings about the show. What I really wanted to tell you about was his mentions of the other Beatles in his concert. He sang a love song for John, a ukulele version of Something in honor of George and even made a mention to Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, as well as Billy Joel coming out and playing with him during his encore...
But he didn't even say Ringo's name. It's probably because he's not dead yet. ![]()

You're talking to History major here, so, unfortunately, it's a little bit more difficult for me to overlook Disney's many historical inaccuracies. Despite that, Pocahontas really is a beautiful movie and Colors of the Wind is just an amazing song. ![]()

Also, I'd just like to take this opportunity to say...
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
(To all my American friends on BZ...
And to all my international friends: Happy Thursday November 24th, 2011.)

Yeah, it is, it always gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it ![]()
What does History major mean?
But as I take you as a historically educated - you must have problems with almost ALL the movies about history, lol
especially the American ones  I used to get mad because of all of those inaccuracies, and finally I just gave up and enjoyed the movies. Someone once told me - history is one thing, movie is absolutely another thing
and I agree with that. Even in documents you can find a lot of mistakes... and discussing something with more than two scientists or historics makes... well, more than two views and opinions of something
but I love it. I love when people oppose each other, it brings so much light and new knowledge to all issues. It is healhty ![]()
Lol, as for the Disney inaccuracies... once we had to read the Hutchback of the Notredamme in school, and everyone was like "Yeah, I´ve seen the Disney version, I don´t have to read the book" ![]()
You really SHOULD have seen our faces when teacher started to give us questions...
no one knew! The Disney version was just SO FAR from the original story that we all failed
Because of that I´ve read the whole book... it was amazing. And I still like the Disney one as well, even when I know it´s damn far from the original. The book was much darker, much more real, sad. Deeper. With absolutely different ending, of course.

^Poor Ringo...Like I said, no hard feelings towards Karlie because I truly to adore her, I just feel that there might've been a couple of other girls walking at the show who were more worthy of three outfits than she was...DON'T RUIN IT FOR ME! There's actually a pretty funny ukele story in the documentary - but I'll keep shtum! And don't get me wrong about Karlie either - I like her too, I'm pretty much of the same opinion as you regarding the VSFS though.
This thread is.... Dead. ![]()

WHY IS IT DEAD? ![]()

Because I'm too lazy busy to post here...

Hey Jude.. just noticed this thread! :Dinah: ![]()

That´s like SO exact. I need to remember that ![]()

Hello everyone! I just wanted to stop by for a couple of minutes to sincerely apologize for my recent absence from BZ: I've been incredibly busy and, unfortunately, as much as I love BZ, posting here just can't be one of my priorities. I want to let all my friends on here know that I really do love you all and I really do wish I could post here more, but now just isn't a good time. You'll probably notice little to no posts from me in the upcoming weeks, but hopefully, after the new year, I could return to my normal amount of daily time on BZ. Thank you all so much and I hope to talk to all soon!
