Wow, looks amazing! In spirit? But that was the freakin' space jockey at the end there
It certainly did have a very Alien feel to it - he even copied the 'reveal' title animation. I always thought the first film left such a rich vein of intrigue to explore, and I couldn't be happier that Scott is the man to go there.
I'll be counting the days to this one now
This is interesting, but if you look closely at the trailer...:
On the far right of the space jockey chair..there is a very peculiar figure that resembles the monolith. The actor who plays the 'figure' is 7 feet tall (alien humanoid??)
Another interesting bit: The man that jumps down has a screwed-up face...for some reason..
They are also inspecting the skull of the space jockey. The rest of its corpse lies in front of the monolith.
IIRC, in the Alien canon the Space Jockeys created mankind and the designed the Xenomorph to be a biological weapon.
^Nice work ![]()
Indeed, it's looking like they're what the movie is being centred around. I haven't been this excited about a movie for quite some time ![]()

The trailer looks fantastic...
But Scott's body of work in the last 20 or so years doesn't really leave me very hopeful. ![]()
^Which ones in particular? ![]()

Indeed! The irony here is that Marloes is almost an anagram for Moles ![]()

o_O
See that's one of those videos where I think it's quite a funny fake trailer, but they actually made it for real. How do they ever expect the humour of that to be sustained for longer than a few minutes?
Same thing with this one I saw a little while back.. I can't believe they actually made this movie too:
Robert Rodriguez pulled it off with Machete though ![]()
