I liked Rachel McAdams in 'Mean Girls'. Other than that, I think she's a barely adequate actress but with a big beautiful face She kind of 'phones it in' in most of her roles.

I haven't seen Emily's stuff in a while, I should...!

btw, Katie Upton lost weight and looks better now:

^Still a pass for me. I really don't find anything about her interesting or attractive

Rachel's never really blown me away with a performance, but I thought she was good in The Time Traveler's Wife and The Notebook. I never saw Mean Girls.

I haven't seen the 'Notebook'. It was her breakthrough role. I've seen her act in four movies (saw State of play as well, along with most of the Family stone and part of Red Eye) and I'm not impressed. She was good in Mean girls though, as she played a teenage ego-maniac and queen-bee of a high school that was mentally stuck in a bubble-like adolescent universe.

I'm not a fan of Katie Upton's modeling yet, but she's looking better. Since mean girls is being mentioned, like Pamela Anderson she kind of looks like the ideal girl that every 20 year old drools over. A potential cult icon? Maybe if she plays her cards right.

I´ve seen Mean Girls and agree with Andy, she was great there, although I started to really like her after seeing her in Sherlock Holmes, as I already stated.

As for Kate Upton, I agree with donny, there is just nothing that would attract me to her - and I never got the "blonde with big boobs" thing anyway. But she can take good pictures for sure. She is pretty, but I really don´t get the huge hype around her - I feel like an alien sometimes, so I visit her thread from time to time just to understand the whole madness - still nothing sometimes the thread is better than a blockbuster - with all those crazy discussions running around, you just need a popcorn and patience... but sometimes it´s just plain stupid - you have one group that calls her a "supermodel" and everything that she does is "perfect and sexy" and than you have the other group that comes in just to state she is useless, fat and a silly playboy girl.

Frankly, I don´t know which group is worse. Thanks God for frenchkiki to come there from time to time with something actually clever and normal to say. Sometimes I almost feel like screaming "give her a peace, she just does what she likes and enjoys, so leave her alone" - and I´m not even a fan

Oh, donny, I´ve seen the Dark Shadows I absolutely LOVED it, and fl did too, it was just gorgeous however it would make a great TV series, so many interesting characters that did not get the area they deserved.

Trouble is, they just don't make 'em like Baywatch anymore. She probably needs some bikini based reality show to move up the ranks if she wants to go down that path <_<

But anyway, on to more interesting people.. did you see this vid of your Karlie with my Aymeline?

It's quite funny how haters can be just as, if not more, fanatic than the actual fans

Glad you liked Dark Shadows. Like I said before, it was just a bit too disjointed and underdeveloped for me - although still enjoyable. Bella Heathcote's eyes will be my lasting memory from it though

Oh Bella she was eternal in that movie! Stunning to the tiptoes - but I did like Eva Green as well :brows:

Yeah, haters... people are just too harsh sometimes, it´s like they keep forgetting that they speak about real person that could be hurt by what they say They are like "she is a celebrity, I can speak whatever I want about her"

I just don't see why they feel the need to preach their dislike, especially in the face of the fans. To each their own, you know.. if you don't like someone, just don't pay them any attention and leave them be

And yeah, Eva was wonderfully vampish in the movie :brows:

Weirdly enough, until I checked out the song you posted in 'Music of 2012' I'd never knowingly heard her music (Fiona that is, not Regina ). I like her sound though and feel like investigating further.

Do it

She's really an amazing lyricist, and that husky voice is so divine. It's like Cat Power, but even more awesome.

I reckon you should start with When the Pawn..., but all her albums are equally fantastic. Including this new one, which is in contention for album of the year so far for me

Oddly enough, I heard a song by Fiona called 'Periphery' on the radio yesterday. Not sure if it was old or new though. It never ceases to amaze me how much more often you hear things once you're slightly more aware of them. I shall Spotify her for more.

And birds never appeared again? that falcon bird is quite amazing.

I still like them a lot, particularly birds of prey and their fiercely noble appearance, but I was really geeky about them back then. No-one thinks birdwatching is cool, but it is - honest!

Yeah, lol, fl loved her instantly, he was like "who is THAT woman?"

I don´t understand that too. I mean, ok, go and express your opinion in a decent and polite way, why not, but why keep comming back to state the same thing again and again and again and again? Oh my. Just like the "Adriana is the most popular of them all and everyone wants to date her" bullshit recently happening in the Official VS thread. The same song all the time. Already tired of it!

Oh, come on Michael. Birdwatching IS sexy . Especially if you have someone by your side. My friend once asked me what I find romantic. Aside from sleeping in woods with no tents it´s watching wild animals with fl. Birds, deer, wild boars - it´s pure. And once you´ve seen him holding a little bird in his hands and learning him to fly, you´re like "I want to spend the rest of my life with you"

So yes, it IS sexy

I love sitting in the terrace we´ve built and watching birds all around - they are just simply fascinating.
