^Super Mario Bros? The original and the best!Actually, I didn't mind Silent Hill either - visually at least. I mean, I'm not a gamer so I had ZERO idea what the fuck was going on but aesthetically it was eerie and the effects looked good.
Oh wow, I haven't seen that since I was a kid ![]()
And it's okay, I haven't actually had much Silent Hill game experience either - maybe that's why I liked it though. I think the die-hards picked it apart, as they tend to do <_<

don, who was the first model that caught you up and brought here?Oh geez, I don't really know. She didn't bring me here as such, but one of my first model fixations was with Danielle Atkin - one of the The Price is Right girls
She had me watching that show every day for a while..
But I dunno, I've gone through phases of following lots. I guess some of the main ones that got me hooked in were VS girls like Gisele, Adriana and Marisa, and SI girls like Josie, Yamila and Elsa <_<
What about you?
That Danielle girl is beautiful for sure ![]()
So you had a thing for Gisele, Adriana and Marisa?
As for me... it was Gisele or Alessandra, but I really don´t remember how I got so hooked on here... so addicted. It was long time ago. Ok, not THAT long, but still ![]()

^I think being flummoxed added to the unease of it's quasi-"Hell" depiction. I mean the pyramid-head guy, all the fetish imagery???And it's okay, I haven't actually had much Silent Hill game experience either - maybe that's why I liked it though. Talking of deviant sexual imagery in computer games - did you ever play Soul Calibre, with the ludicrously gay-porn bondage character Voldo:

Well, I had origianlly written a long post about humor in different cultures, but when it took me to Freeze.com instead I noticed that pic
.

I have to say, I'm not overly familar with the Soul Calibur games, though I hear Voldo (or perhaps more accurately, Voldo's crotch) caused some controversy when this fan-made image showed up on the developers' Facebook page (presumably in response to the game's official poster, above left). The Voldo one was taken down after numerous complaints but the other one was seemingly okay to stay. Oh dear! ![]()
In any event, I consider myself relatively lucky to have made it this long without having heard of Voldo. ![]()

I know what you mean about him Michael*. He seems to be another one of those guys (re: Matthew McConaughey, Ryan Reynolds) that Hollywood thinks has a nice body and is 'marketable' and therefore decided we have to like - and so they'll shove them in any old shit, with Aniston or Hudson et al, until something sticks...I've always had something of an irrational hatred for Mr. Butler, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it isn't true.![]()
Not to mention Bradley Cooper, who seems to have stolen McConaughey's shtick lock, stock and barrel!
I suppose when 300 came out, Butler booked a seat on that particular gravy train, though really, his role could have probably been done equally well by any juiced-up shouty bloke. <_<
Prince of Persia was good huh? I never got around to seeing that.. or playing the most recent game come to think of it. But the previous Sands of Time trilogy were tops (Y). Might have to make an effort to see that soon.Actually I'd love to see a Dead Space movie too - and not that cheapo animated film they already released
Or a Mass Effect game. That would be incredibly ambitious, but incredibly epic if someone gave it the love it deserves.
I was a big fan of the PS2 PoP games, though I got a bit bored with the PS3 version after playing through the first few levels. It seemed like there was a heavy emphasis on the swordfighting, and running and jumping in straight lines, while the bits I used to really like (the pathfinding and puzzle elements) were minimised. Worth a look I guess, but certainly no Sands of Time. ![]()
Mass Effect is one I've always thought would be worth getting into, though I've yet to actually give it a whirl. From time to time, I'll see it on the shelves of my local video game emporium and be tempted to pick it up, but I always seem to have something else on the go. One of these days... ![]()

Yes, Voldo... I spent a wonderful substance-fuelled New Year's period once playing Soul Calibur (and thank you for the correct spelling; as you know, the gaming world isn't my milieu!) on my friend's Sega Dreamcast where I uncharacteristically beat all-comers by virtue of being able to tap my index and middle-finger quicker than anybody else. Playing against hardy veterans, and not being much of a gamer myself, meant this particularly galled them! I think in that I found my tapping skills most suited to a pig-tailed blonde viking girl character called Sophitia added a further insult! So, that's where I became acquainted with Voldo - in all his pseudo-leatherman, gimpish glory... ![]()

^Yeah, and him! :baronlamesign:Not to mention Bradley Cooper, who seems to have stolen McConaughey's shtick lock, stock and barrel!![]()

LOL @ that leather face gif

I've had pretty limited experience with the series, although from what I remember from it, it seemed more random-button-mash friendly than other games of the genre.. not to deride your drunken tapping prowess ![]()
In any event, I don't remember seeing that guy before.. yikes o_O
Although once you've seen this, few things surprise <_<
Japan: The country that never asks why?

Did you play the one in between from 2008 (unless that was the one you were talking about)? That really was terribly easy, but an exquisitely beautiful game.
RPGs have never really been my thing, but Mass Effect drew me in like crazy. They created an amazingly rich and interesting universe, and well, it's just all around epic. The first one has a bit of a stronger story (although still good in the second), but the combat is much better in the second. And it also has a far less annoying inventory system. I played through 1 and 2 both twice though, once with my 'hero' Shepard, and once with my renegade bitch Shepard ![]()

Can't wait for ME3 this year ![]()

^And bless them for that! This looks just about the best game EVER!Japan: The country that never asks why?
I like air-wank Santa the best...

Wait, that cheerleader was kick ass!! ![]()

That's the one - it does indeed look lovely, and I actually didn't mind the focus on open-world free-running as opposed to measured navigation, but the mix of obstacles weren't as carefully balanced and consequently I didn't really feel like there was enough variety to keep proceedings fresh. Still, I didn't actually finish the game so I hesitate to judge it too harshly. Maybe I'll give it another go. ![]()
And thanks for the rundown - I may have to make Mass Effect my next port of call. ![]()

Its funny, I remember awhile ago they were saying they had to change up Kath and Kim for the American version because Australian humor wouldn't translate or something. Ironically, whatever they did failed to translate as it was quickly canceled
but were you a fan of the original show? Even if not, what do you think is different about Australian humor? I'm still finding it interresting that not everyone laughs at different types the same way I do. It seems most people I know here look at me crazy for laughing at Shaun of the Dead whereas many people I know from other places don't think the Hangover is as funny as many here do. It seems to me comic relief moments in Asian programs seems to be the most crossover that I've witnessed on a cultural scale though.

Yeah, they do that when they remake British shows too. Often the location is an intrinsic part of the spirit and character of the show, so trying to 'translate' it somewhere else totally misses the point. I don't know why they even bother ![]()
Reminds me of this a little ![]()
I only saw bits and pieces of Kath & Kim - never really got into it myself, but the idea of taking away the 'Australian-ness' is ludicrous to me. It would be like trying to redo Seinfeld over here, which would be equally ridiculous. Besides everything else, New York is almost the fifth main character of the show.. and it just wouldn't work at all without it. I don't really know how to characterise Australian humour, although I think it's fair to say it's closer to British than it is American. There are clear distinctions between them all, but it's hard to put your finger on exactly what they are, especially when there's much variation in amongst themselves. Something like Curb Your Enthusiasm is a million miles from Everybody Loves Raymond, just like The Office is from The IT Crowd - yet they both feel distinctly American and British respectively <_<
There's not really an overabundance of great Australian comedy, but these are some of my favourites ![]()

Count me in
it was actually insane. But many of my friends considered it funny.
I guess it´s up to your taste, what kind of humour do you like? I don´t like these kind of comedies... but oh hell how I love Men in Black (I and II) and Hot Shots (I and II) - I could watch it again and again ![]()

IT Crowd!!
I bowed to that series... ever since the only definition I use on "my days" is Aunt Irma´s visit
many people learned that from me and they´re using it too, even without knowing where does it come from ![]()

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY!!!

Man, I wish I could have a Cherry Ripe (and Pania) now... ![]()
