Well, you started it!

Appreciate you too.
Did you see the movie, Jennka? Anyway, I can't imagine that you're 'schizoid'. Psychologists have a classification for just about everything.

It seems like Karlie is definitely one of the most versatile right now
. Unless my chronology is off, she seems to be in a high fashion ad one minute and in commercial the next and pulling off both extremely well. She has a unique enough face and enough expression for the high fashion side and also the personality (along with the type of beauty the general public can 'understand' in contrast to the 'edgier' high fashion models) that makes her suitable for the commercial side too.

^On that tip, have you seen Karlie's 'House of Style' debut yet? I followed a link to watch it on MTV's site and even sat through a tedious advert to then be told I couldn't watch it (being outside the US) because of "copyright reasons". Why the fuck couldn't they tell me that before the pissing ad? ![]()
Here's that self-same link though. How altruistic am I?

Don´t they?
I can´t imagine myself being schizoid as well, I was quite surprised. I think that for a psychologist there is no such person as one without ANY classification.
Yes, I have, but it was very long time ago and I can´t remember anything besides Jennifer Connelly being incredibly beautiful ![]()

I remember Cult telling me about that, but I haven't seen it. I calso can't watch videos here, but I'll have to check it out
. Too bad about the copywright thing though. There's quite a few things I can't watch or the person I sent it to can't watch for the same reason. I had always thought that copywrights were supposed to outlaw unauthorized use rather than where you watch it
.
I'm like miles behind, sorry A, congrats on your very own thread ![]()

If you want insight, you should see Candice's video. 'I was blessed with a very small waist and nice curves.'

Don't shoot me Candice fans

I've never really cared about seeing them talk...........................By not knowing who they are, their work becomes more convincing.
So just getting an impression of who Karlie is from the candids in her fashion models thread does, at the same time, depreciate a lot of the high fashion photoshoots and shows she has done for me. The risk is out there!
I still like backstage photos a lot, so that's what I pay for it..

Episode 2 is up. I'll plop it here to remind myself to watch it...:

A lot of psychological disorders/classifications come across as designed to make a pill-popping market..for people who aren't predisposed to analyzing their past, observing how they evolved into the present, and dwelling on the exact nature of their genes in order to obtain self-mastery.
Yes, I fear that 'A beautiful mind' was designed to make one develop a crush on her: I certainly did, at least in a small way. She's emotionally convincing.

Thanks for posting the intro to her show. This is the first time I really heard her talk for a few minutes, and I'll have to say that it was breath of fresh air. It's nice to see humans on TV for once...

I just watched Karlie's 5 minute clip. They go shopping at a boutique store and do an incredibly mundane task. I don't have too much to say, Karlie's a cutie here and comes across as genuine and relaxed. So is Joan. Is this show designed for people who have a crush on Karlie and Joan & want to watch them explore the fashion world in a naive, kind-hearted, and inexperienced sort of way? That's not a bad idea, actually. Or for people who seek to place themselves in the shoes of Karlie and Joan, and seek to explore without being put into situations that are over their head? I can see how the vox populi can find this accessible and peaceful.
And kind of a off-topic and random note- Karlie's vocal chords are nearly identical to my second favorite stylist. They could record their voices, swap them, and I wouldn't be able to tell them apart.

I never saw a J.Connelly film save for 'A beautiful mind' and maybe one or two others. I think she was most beautiful when she was in her early 30s. She was too baby faced before that.

I would say, when you know yourself, you know them all. People in general tend to act in certain ways that use to repeat themselves all the time.
She is, and those eyes of her - I just melted. Hm, since I told you about this book, I haven´t had a time to read more
this is a tiring week.

I haven't done much recreational reading as of late, as well. I have too much work-related reading. And I should, before I become too boring
I never finished that must read 'Thinking Fast, Slow' yet (remember?)...I read 1/3 of it a year ago and forgot about it!

]^Every Jennifer Connelly movie is designed to do that! You look at most of her early films and they are incredibly exploitative. She had that ingenue thing down-pat though!

No, I didn't. I still have the book, too..I just forgot about it completely!
I'm looking at the list of books I've read in the last year and I'd recommend to you:
1.The Globalization Paradox- US Industrial policymaker compares and contrasts the different institutional structures of the major economies. I really enjoyed this one. Very well written and thought-provoking.
2.The Quest- A big book, IIRC some 700+ pages that summarizes current trends in all energy sectors of the world economy. The intersection between politics, business needs, and the energy markets is explored. It's a must read for anybody with a pulse.............
3.How we got here- Kind of a eclectic, short history of technology and its role in wealth creation. I consider this to be a hidden gem that summarizes the important insights from a large field of research. Best of all, it's a short read.

These are the entertaining 'big picture' books of mine that should benefit anybody and everybody by allowing them to understand, with greater detail, the world in which they live in.
You becoming too boring? Ridiculous.
And yeah, I remember that book, I still have it in my wishlist
so you did not finish it??

One of the polls brought up a huge list- It was so huge and broad that I'd decided to rate it for good measure. It's a great list. I'd like to see if anybody else wants a try:
