Bitch I already got it from my stalking skills
And its going great...I love the whole working with clothes thing
And its like I don't dread going into work...like I'm not constantly looking at the clock...while I'm in there I defiently kinda like it!
Why did I even doubt you
Sounds like you found a small slice of fabric heaven from the sounds of it
So what else have you purchased then?
Don't even get me started on the purchases
Literally my closet, drawers...everything is stuffed
Its not healthy I tell ya ![]()

Just Brazil and Argentina.
Yes, in the southern regions you can see a lot of green: awesome landscapes. And quite some forests over there too, yes.
Lol no,we do have winter and gets quite cold too! It's just that it doesn't snow much over here. In the south the winter is actually long and with LOTS of rain. Cold as well, not so terrible to be below 0ºC all the time, but it gets cold. And because it rains so much there's a lot of green over there and it's really beautiful
Over here in Santiago the winter is just shorter, and while it rains less, it gets as chilly sometimes as in the south.
Lol that's true
LONG WINTER? I'd be out of there
But I guess the beautiful summer and beautiful greenery and landscape would make up for it right?
But without snow! ![]()
It definitely makes up for it ![]()
I took this pic this winter. I just arrived here yesterday, so I haven't taken any pics yet, but I will!
How was your xmas?
And what a view..looks like its a tad bit chilly in the winter pic, but thats okay when you got that beautiful sunlight
And beautiful summer view too (that sky!)

Staying fabulous is no issue my friend :brows: ![]()

I hope the same for you! May the new year be filled with tons of new makeup and VS
:D

Hey katch, I know I don't really post in your thread, but seeing your posts about films made me wanna ask about something...
I think I haven't noticed that before...
Why is it that, in almost every American movie you see, and that doesn't have to be drama (could be a comedy or any other genre) there's at least one teenager/child with no mother or father/widowed father or mother? No, it seems that there isn't an issue with a woman or man simply divorced, it usually seems to be about a dead parent :| I know it's not the case for every movie of course, but I noticed this strange pattern. That if somebody asks a teen in a movie 'who do you live with' they say something like: 'my dad and sister... my mum died when I was 5' and not 'only my mum... my parents divorced a few years ago and as my father lives in a different state we rarely ever see each other'.
Forgive the stupidity of my post but couldn't help asking if you also noticed that. 'Post-Christmas' I watch more movies than usually and it seems like this 'parent' thing happens in each of the films I got to watch.

How was your xmas?

My Christmas was nice. Good times with the family, and quite some food too ![]()
It was indeed chilly on that winter pic, but not so bad, it must have been around 10ºC or 14ºC (50ºF - 57ºF). And the summer here it's beautiful too, I love this time of the year ![]()
How was your Christmas?

You don't know how much I missed you and your playful, live soul.
Merry Chirstmas,beautiful girl.

Time for a yard sale me thinks. Try not to cry when the clothes leave your hands ![]()
So how goes the weather thus far? ![]()

Hmmm good observation. I think maybe because that is considered the "ultimate" american tragedy? Like widowed mothers/fathers and kids of divorced parents, theres like this stigma around it (a pretty much unnecessary stigma if you ask me) and I think movies use that to add a more "real" person element to it. Like people can relate, etc. But now its just overused, and every troubled soul in a movie is from a divorced house, has no mom, etc.
Any good movies so far?

Oh wow then, just kinda coolish. That weather I can deal with
Though if it were a tad bit warmer, like 75F where I can where some shorts and flip flops it would be perfect!
And mine was good....same as you, just good time with the family and DELICOUS food

Yeah, but to me it seems like there are many more 'half-orphaned' kids instead of the ones from 'broken' families... so to me it's weird, why it seems like a more common scenario that a child/teen in a movie has one parent because of one's death, not divorce.
But there really seems to be a stigma, I read somewhere that many Americans think that single mother families are a bigger 'threat' to society than homosexual couples. I mean, that thing I read made it sound like even most conservative people are of this opinion so that's why it surprised me... like even those who are homophobic seem so. That's why that article or book or whatever I took that info from sounded suspicious.
Oh, I seem to mix good with bad ones
but FINALLY got to watch "Cat on a hot thin roof". I also started watching "Sabrina" but then guests came so I had no chance to finish the movie ![]()

For the Christmas eve dinner we had turkey with potatoes and various salads. The next day we made a roasted lamb. It was AMAZING!
That's like the perfect temperature indeed
.
Is it so terribly cold over there still? Too much snow? ![]()

Nothing better than meat and patatoes
and roasted lamb....sounds delicous
We had prime rib, green bean casserole, and twice baked patatoes ![]()
And yes it is! Today was terrible...literally my fingers have been freezing no matter if I'm inside. Today we had something like windchills bellow 0
And I didn't really do anything for the New Year, just went to a friends house, had some fun. You?

Once again I think its because its not just "oh your parents are divorced" its like its much more tragic, adding to the drama. So it makes ya tear up a little more
And there really is a huge stigma around it, and I think it was all just created to make it a problem. There are studies sure, but they are SOOO misinterpreted...like things like "15% of children from divorced homes are likely to be involved with drugs or alchohol" when you really look at the big picture, thats not that much, and compared to the numbers of children from non-divorced homes its about the same
And wow I had never heard that remark, more of a threat? Really? (like either are a threat
)
Anyways thats why I hate American polls all over TV etc. They scew the truth so much to push an agenda..
I have never seen Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, though i know its a classic!
