So the Grammys are this weekend... you like Lana Del Rey, right? I saw she was nominated for "Young and Beautiful" in Best Song Written For Visual Media, along with Coldplay's "Atlas" ( although I can see why people don't like it ) but then noticed Adele's "Skyfall" also qualified I mean, I like "Skyfall" but was surprised it was nominated now, almost a year after winning the Oscar Lana and Coldplay were NOT nominated for the Academy Award though. I like Pharrell's "Happy" and saw it on some list before the nominations were announced but was so surprised when it got nominated because, well, it doesn't quite seem like the song nominated for this kind of award, you know? It would be funny if Williams won but I guess the Academy will give it to U2.

Do I?! I adore her That song is amazing, I mean just straight up lovely I mean the lyrics are deep, and meaningful....it just makes ya feel I was pissed that song wasn't nominated for an Oscar!

 

The whole Great Gatsby soundtrack is fabulous

 

I actually liked Skyfall....but isn't that song too old to even be considered? that was like two years ago And yeah IDK why Pharrell got that nom...and the Academy awards seem to love U2!

 

I liked "Skyfall" too... but when I started reading the nominations, Lana, Coldplay... and then Adele popped and I thought to myself "&*^% of course Adele's going to win". Well, maybe that's not 100% sure... but she is obviously loved, as well as Beyonce who, it was pointed out, gets nominations even when seemingly she shouldn't. btw I haven't listened to her (B's) whole new album yet but I wouldn't choose "Drunk in love" as a single

 

Pharrell's "Happy" really makes me "Happy" but I don't know if it's oh so good to get that Oscar...

I think I prefer The Simpsons. But I love Family Guy too, specially because of that sicker and offensive humor too. But I almost never catch it on TV.

 

Its been terrible again...the snow just doesn't stop Its only 6 degrees With a windchill of much lower

 

Yeah thats why I liked family guy better because its more offensive But The Simpsons is just classicly funny...like it doens't even have to try, and its hilarious! Homer is just classic

 I couldn't possibly choose. But I really like "Human Nature" and ""Beat it" I has tickets to go and see him as well. I been waiting to see him for 14 years. It was the thing I wanted to do most in he world and got within 3 weeks. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry

 Not sure why I would have reason to feel uncomfortable about telling you what I do for living. I work for a printing company that takes photographs and design/create brochures for estate agents (Real Estate Agents) We mainly focus on high end properties. I made a brochure today for house that was asking for £15,000 a week  (24,000 dollars) A pretty incredible house . Had a spiralling staircase with a waterfall falling through the middle. Had a cinema, gym and indoor swimming pool. Did Sting house a few weeks ago too. Was quite fun having a look at what his house was like    (he had some very interesting artwork ) The whole company uses Apple iMac. If you were to walk into our company you would think it was a Apple store. So much fun, totally love what I do.

 

I travel when I can. Always great to go to different countries and witness different cultures. So I got this plan. Im thinking of taking a sabbatical year out of work. And go traveling. But the twist is, I won't know where I am going until I get to the airport. I'll go to the screen and whatever flight is at the top i'll go to that country. Spend however long I want at the country (maybe even work there for a bit) Then when I am wanting to leave i'll go the airport and see the flights and whatever is at the top go there and repeat the process. Just do that until I get fed up  See how many countries I can  rack up. Who knows Michigan might be the chosen one

Well sometimes peeps don't want to disclose where they work, IDK And hmmm that actually sounds quite interesting! So I assume that takes alot of graphic design work? I love graphic design, and you definetly got to have skills to make a ton of brochures for all this stuff! And different everytime and lol that house sounds awesome!

Adele won for "Skyfall" but from what I've read it seems like her award was given/announced a few hours before the gala? I mean, it may be all about Pop and Rap and Rock categories for most but aren't there like 106 different categories? didn't Bill Clinton won a couple of years ago?

I don't like that much the newer season though, but that's mostly because of the voice dubbing here. I can't like the current ones, the older ones were much better.

Oh darling hun you have NO idea how badly I want them to be together...SOO BAD I know I'm not the only one who sees it but they definetly have the hots for eachother....Margot talks about leo constantly and she always tells it smiling and beaming, and leo talks about margot and especailly when hes around her it looks like hes a 11 year old boy whos around his crush. Also pics of them at events and everything anytime they hug,etc. you can just see it

Wikipedia (very reliable source ) says that the number of categories fell down in 2012-from 109 to 78. That's still a lot!

From what I remember, yeah, not every category is presented 'live'.

 

I've just checked that Clinton has 2 Grammys?!? :| for best spoken and best spoken for children categories. Hillary also has one I am surprised though, because I was pretty sure he got one as a part of a band where he played saxophone... and it seems like he didn't, at least quick google search doesn't give me any info on that.

 

WEll we know that Wikipedia is like scientific evidence But yeah I wonder why they don't present all the categories and how they choose which ones to do? 

Lol our country would totally honor bill and hilary clinton with grammys because we are America And I never thought Bill was apart of any band I just thought he always played on his own terms, etc?

I haven't watched Family Guy in quite some time, so I can't say anything. But I agree on The Simpsons, besides the voices over here, they were funnier a couple of seasons back.

I Don't Mostly because after I save a pic its usually when I end up posting it here or somewhere else, so then I just delete it off my computer. Though sometimes I wish I did keep the pictures but I've never really been after pictures where I can't ever really find them again, but most times I just get rid of them all to deal with the clutter  

Aww. too bad.  As I have disclosed in my thread, I simply save them all into one mega file and sort them out with a search engine.  The novelty comes from variety and selection.  Visiting that file always comes with new surprises.  For the 'full career reviews', I save them into their own file.

So for me, saving pictures is essential and I rarely have full galleries of anything.  The only full galleries I have were d/led' from a search engine.

Out of curiosity, does it take up to 30 minutes for you to prepare your hair like that and is it considerably higher maintenance?  It looks to me that this type of hairstyle needs a good amount of product.

I guess it's easy-having to broadcast THAT many categories would bore anyone, maybe except Norwegians (I've read that 'slow tv' is getting popular there; like showing Guiness' record in knitting a scarf for 5 hours, without disturbing it with commercials and somehow it goes during primetime and has got many viewers :| ) and it's not like jazz and jazz artists get the same recognition as rappers or pop stars.

Hmm you may know better maybe he did, I thought he was playing in a band but seeing how he did not win Grammy for 'typical music' but spoken album I may be wrong of course.
