FREAKIN EXTRA SWEET!!!

<needs help getting back up>

*helps Penny up and hands her a drink* be careful dear! ![]()

So I awoke to the strange sounds of people shouting nay, cheering, from beneath my window... It was early Saturday - too early for the crowds. At first I believed I was dreaming - but no - the chants, yes chants, were relentless.
"Joe". They appeared to be shouting. "Hooray for Joe".
I drew open my curtains and, sure enough, hundreds of people lined the street:

But who was this 'Joe' they seemed so pleased for. What had he, or perhaps even she, done?
I quickly took care of my ablutions, donned a robe and took to the street in haste...
"You, lad!" I called to a passing urchin. "Yes, you - what is all this commotion - who is Joe?"
The grubby-faced boy came towards me and bowed, as they are wont to do in the presence of a Baron. "No need for all that..." I dismissed his manners - my curiosity had been peeked and I had no other desire than to know what was occurring...
"Why, Mister Baron, Sir - it's a parade for Joe > Average. he's been made a moderator and received his own thread!"
"Has he indeed!" I mused to myself - I threw the child a farthing for his help - "Young Joe, eh? My good friend..." Pleased with such news I took to the streets to join in the festivities.
I found some acquaintances of mine, and we marvelled at the passing band - singing, in joyous voice, of the news:

"Celebrate good times, come on
Let's have a celebration..."
Overhead, a plane sent spumes of coloured smoke that wrote the event of in the air - so all could see across the land. We all looked up, and duly applauded. Then, as if that wasn't spectacle enough, parachutists jumped out and descended towards us - their chutes proudly bearing Joe's name:

As if in stark contrast, the wonderful organisers of such an event, had managed to counter this with a plethora of hot-air balloons that rose majestically to create a truly breathtaking display:

Then, a great swathe of activity appeared to our right. Apparently HE was here. It speaks so well of such a man - but then we all know his good grace - it is legendary in Bellazonia. Joe > Average was here, and he waved to us all - stopping to take flowers from children and sign countless autographs.
Before me were the girls, the myriad screaming girls. I could hardly hear myself think above such screaming. But Joe, magnanimous as always, stopped to kiss a few of his adoring fans. One girl fainted, and he waited for the paramedics to make sure she was OK before he moved along. A true gentleman...

He caught my eye, as I stood proud of my friend from behind these frenzied females. We nodded - no more was needed to be said.
And, thus, the day drew to a close. Luckily I found an ideal spot upon the beach to watch the firework display. We dutifully oohed and aahed in all the appropriate places - and took cheer and warmth that such a man had been recognised. It kept us warm in the cold night's air:

So, I just wanted to personally thank Joe for such a day. And to remind him of the companionship he has given to me over this year... Cheers to you, sir!

Congrats, Joe!!
