I had to google Iron Butterfly because I don’t think I have heard of them The song In a Gadda Da Vida popped up. It is a song I like but never knew who’s it by. With that said, thank you! There are so many songs I like but I have no clue about the artist

Hahaha You're welcome Iron Butterfly is a great band, and In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida is an awesome song!

I hate when that happens, I need to know the artist

Most people think TGG is solely a love story but what it is really about is the decline of the “American Dream" during a time in which the US was flourishing and prospering. One of the focal point of the book is, like most great things (in this case, wealth) it comes great responsibilities. If not careful, people’s moral & social values and good judgment start to diminish. Things like greed, superficialness, prejudice, and recklessness start to consume people. The book also talks about classism. Since we were talking about the Classics, another book I like and recommend is Plato’s Republic. Plato’s thoughts on class ties in well with some of the main themes of TGG

Now it looks much more interesting. At least the book

Oh I downloaded Plato's Republic some time ago, but I keep forgetting to read it. I need to remember it once I'm vacations.

I didn’t like the Iliad b/c I thought it was boring and long-winded Sure, the book had a lot of action and historical value, but it was too much for me. I prefer the Odyssey b/c it was more fantastical Oh this makes me think of another book I semi-enjoyed, What Is History? By Carr (sorry don’t remember the author’s first name). Although Carr was repetitive and tedious (kinda reminds me of some of the fans on BZ ), nonetheless his points were valid and good If you do decide to read the book just read the first 20 or so pages b/c after that he just regurgitates what he has already said except phrase it differently

Ah, I see. Actually is for the historic thing that I think The Iliad could be very interesting. The Odyssey is indeed a bit too fantastical; but fun anyway.

At least it has very good title  . I'll take in the consideration just looking a few pages

I think he did it on purpose b/c he thinks it is funny to throw his dog into the snow and watch it sink <_< The dog looked so sad and confused He could have really hurt the dog. My grandmother once dropped my ex-aunt’s (she and my uncle are divorced) pomeranian by accident and ended up breaking one of the dog’s legs. The poor dog had to be in a cast as big as

her

It is amazing how dogs can overcome a lot that people do .

Here is an article about Corgi becoming endangered:

http://newsfeed.time...ngered-species/[/quote]

American Pickers? I don’t think I have heard of that show. What’s it about?

Its not something I've ever gone out in my way to see, but basically two guys hitting the road trying to find people who collect a lot of old things to try to make deals on what to buy it for so they can sell it for more money. Generally someone will have like a helmet from an old war, old toy or something. I don't like the show that much personally because the people get screwed to me or at least let themselves get screwed. They'll want $80, the pickers will say they can't go higher than $40, they'll agree to $43 and go sell it for $400 .

I do agree, they do look creepy I wouldn’t want to anger one! I have friends who own both cats & dogs. Their pets get along well so it gives me some hope that my bunny and dog could get along tooo...hopefully!

Speaking of cats and dogs getting along have you ever seen this movie? It is one of my all-time favs :

Even if its too later for the older ones, you could always start two babbies together. Rabbits reproduce so quickly that some practically give them away. I just haven't partaken because some of my cats are already set in their ways . That is one of my favorite movies as well . Bolt is another good one although it doesn't bring the point home as well being animated obviously. Donkeys are particularly good at getting along with other animals as a side note . Your third favorite alien troll agrees.

Yes I did. Now you know where my mind was :brows:

As long as a person isn’t totally fugly they will do ok (Y) Most people are not that ugly so it is all good. Even if a person is extremely ugly there are ways around it For women as long as they have a nice body they should be all-set (Buttaface!) Even if they don’t they could always exercise to achieve a better body. Guys could do the same too. Also with guys, if they are rich they could compensate for their ugliness---very common!

Evangelical Christians are big on the concept of “Jesus Is Alive!”. They also advocate the idea of being “born again” and being absolved of one's sins. My mom and my sister usually goes to church on Easter but I don’t (yes I know, I am totally going to hell). We don’t really do much at home for Easter. I think b/c of the huge clean up afterwards. However, having a proper Easter dinner is something I would like have as a tradition when I have my own family someday

Barbara or Adriana...tough call

Some of my favorite holiday dishes are stuffing, pumpkin pie (not a fan of pumpkins but love the pie!), roast chicken, mash potatoes, and green bean casserole 4X4pfnU.gif

Speaking of pecan pie, have you tried the pecan pies at Hooters (yes you read correctly, Hooters)? Not sure is it a regional thing, but the one I used to go to had surprising good pecan pie

You where thinking spherical that much I can attain from your one liner

So you say money will bring untold beauty and women like a sleazy Las Vegas night? Well there is no doubt that a nice body will make up for any OTHER lacking as awful as that last sentence sounds That or one can plop a few 10k to get there dream look à la carte?

Oh jeez religion and I have never really got along and I would get quite the scolding as a kid when I titled bibles as fiction or disproved there little stories of a man creating the earth in almost a "I dream of Genie" style with the blink of the eyes Any who that is a whole other set of arguments onto themselves. I guess whatever works for anyone on the holidays is fine by me as long as they don't try to indoctrinate me and have me bow down before their deity. Pass the ham?

I guess I shall flip a coin *flips coin...*

Good lord hun that list there is just as good as that dam emoticon you used at the end You ever had actual homemade pumpkin pie before. Night and day, like eating a McRib then having an authentic pulled pork sandwich at a mom & pop BBQ joint...never going back once there!

No I haven't but that is on my list to eat now LOL and no surprise here they have decent food even though its still synonymous for many as a sleazy place to get a cheap stare and hadron We actually had one open here in my city not too long ago after many objecting and stalling the project, no that bad actually I guess people will see what they want and nothing more

If I remember correctly, season 3 of BB was quite slow in the middle. It should pick up towards the last 2-3 episodes. Have you seen the episode “Fly” yet? I was wondering what you thought of it Yeah, the actress who plays Carmen is pretty bad. I think that’s why she had so little screen time I feel bad for Jesse b/c he is usually the “bitch” in most situations Either he gets beat up (mentally & physically) or he gets the short-end of the stick Yes, I have watched the entire series. I've even watched some episodes multiple times. Still going through BB withdrawal

I hear you about spoilers! I did not watch Miss Universe when it was shown live on TV on Saturday (btw, I love beauty pageants ). I was avoiding all social media so I don’t find out who won until I watch it on Hulu. I went onto my Yahoo! Mail account to check my email, and there was a news blurb above my inbox telling me who won. I was SOOOO pissed!!! <_<

I think The Swan was “inspired” by Extreme Makeover. I agree, shows with drastic makeovers are more entertaining than those that just provide new wardrobe, makeup and hairdos. I read somewhere b/c of The Swan more people are requesting for veneers

Although I enjoyed the Hangover I don’t think there is anything wrong with you not liking it. Different people like different things and movies like that are an acquired taste. Like most movies, the first Hangover I thought was pretty entertaining but the sequels were "meh". Same with Meet The Parents. I think they try too hard to outdo the first ones

I don’t think I have heard of the movie Dolly Dearest. I don’t usually like horror flicks but one I did enjoy was The People Under The Stairs. Have you seen it? I have heard of the show Goosebumps but I don’t think I have ever seen it. There is another show that’s similar I really enjoyed, Are You Afraid of the Dark? It’s one of my favorite shows as a child. Have you seen it?

Selena makes me cry every time I watch it. Such a tragedy!

Sorry to hear the Raptors lost. The Celtics aren’t doing so well either although they did recently beat Queen James and his posse the Heat Speaking of the Celtics ...

I finished Breaking Bad ! I personally found the "Fly" episode to be on the boring side. However, I know it was an important episode in the sense that now the viewers will sort of question Walt's sanity, as he's obsessing over such a seemingly small thing. It's comparable to his obsessive need to continue selling meth and make more and more money. Him and Jesse open up more to eachother and we see the vulnerability in both characters.

interesting to see Walt's character deteriorate the way it did. I mean by him selling meth in the first place and all the lies that he conjured up as result, we could see he was no longer that straight and narrow chemistry teacher (well from what we can tell he wans't a criminal before the meth).. However, I could still give Walt the benefit of the doubt with Amelio... him and Krazy Eight were about to shot and kill Jesse and Walt right then and there, so he really had no choice he had to do something. Now with Krazy Eight he fed him and kept him alive and didn't just kill him right away.... you could see he respected human life and he gave Krazy Eight enough time to prove to him that he wouldn't be a threat, but come on when he saw that Krazy Eight was about to kill him with that shard of glass he really couldn't let him go at that point. With Gale.... things got a bit worse for his character as Gale himself wasn't a threat to Walt and he treated him with kindness and respect... BUT unfortunately he was put into a tight situation either Gale died or Walt and Jesse will die. Same thing with Gus he was a direct threat to his life and his family's... now there's no excuse for killing another but I don't see any of those situations as cold blooded. Now when he killed Mike that was a turning point for him... he simply killed him because he was a loose end and if he got caught by the DEA he would potentially rat out Walt... same thing when he had those 9 guys killed..... that's when I stopped giving him the benefit of the doubt and had hope that he was still a good guy. Then lastly having Jesse killed, seemed his main motif wa because Jesse stopped listening to him and he (Jesse) lost respect for Walt. Shows what a controlling person he is and to me that wa sthe icing on the cake that his character had reached its lowest point... oh and the whole poisoning Brock thing fits in there somewhere as well.

Though with all that said and yeah even though we can see his character turn for the worst as the series progressed, he showed that perhaps money isn't everything to him an he still had a heart when he offered Todd's uncles thugs crew all of his money in order for him to let Hank go, even though he had lost Han's respect and was about to be headed to trial and jail at the hands of his brother and law. Though I  guess that falls under the whole "i'll do anything for my family including cooking meth and risking getting caught" thing which is the premise of the show. So I guess don't mess with his family but anyone else who gets in his way better watch out.

I went onto my Yahoo! Mail account to check my email, and there was a news blurb above my inbox telling me who won. I was SOOOO pissed!!! <_<

Arrrghhhh that's awful. I hate that with a fiery passion!!

I've heard of People under the Stairs, but not sure if ive seen it. I'll go check that out!

lol at "Queen James" Actually my NBA obsession died down again... very short lived lol. I know it has to do with the fact that the Raptors are getting their asses kicked... I'm not a true fan obviously then... don't stay with them through thick and thin. Though I am going to another Raptors game on December 18 no matter what its a nicee night out (Y)

Oh and do you watch The Walking Dead? I finally caught up to season 4 episode 7 now I'm looking forward to next Sunday's new episode. Normally I'm not into Zombies and crap but this one I got into. Now I tried giving The vampire Diaries a chance... yesterday I watched the Pilot but meh its too "teeny bopper for me and corny  Maybe i'll give it another chance but for now I'm not interested. Do you watch it?

Oh and I hear "Blacklist" is good. .. it was so easy finding and watching Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead but this one is being a beyotch to come across online. I don't want to start watching the newer episodes when they air on TV before watching the previous eps.

GASP not a fan? May I ask why, I've always found her to be just adorable

And Benefits mascara is pretty good I have some of it, just the regular black kind. I am a huge fan of Benefits poor minimizer:

http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/product/view/the-porefessional I tryed a tiny bit of it on my face, and damn there was not a line or poor in sight! Even though it was 40$ I found it was still worth the buy and so far its been awesome I also get a lot of their smaller/cheaper things, like their little kits, etc. I am a huge fan of thier packaging too, its definetly eye catching and my style

In terms of VS products I have tons of their lipglosses "Beauty Rush" or whatever their called And they are pretty nice, also their lip plumper works pretty well so I like that! I have never ventured into trying their bronzer lotions or anything like that, but next sale I'm gonna head to those beauty bins to pick up some

Ahh Ulta is great too, I would say I visit them both 50/50 I would say NARS is a good one, I have some stuff from them. And Urban Decay is also a great one, their eyeshadows ar ethe bomb!

I find her annoying and overrated

Cool, I will definitely give the pore minimizer a try. I will ask for a sample next time I visit Sephora or Ulta   tried the one from Clinque. It didn’t work as well as I would like

Believe it or not some of VS’ make-up are pretty decent. Unfortunately most of their better products get discontinued within 3 years. Here are some of the items I adore but are no longer available: SLT Illuminating Gel, Face Illuminator (the one that came in a bottle instead a tube), liquid eye shadow, concealer, Very Sexy Dare fragrance, and Dream Angels Halo fragrance. Sometimes they bring back similar products but it is never as good as the original

I heard VS mascaras are pretty good. I got a sample of one their mascaras a few years back. It was ok. I am kinda picky when it comes to mascaras. I have yet to find anything that comes close to Dior Show or L’Oreal Voluminous (the original one). I have also tried the Beauty Rush color mascara b/c I ran out of the one from Benefit. Needless to say the Benefit one is better. Less clumpy and lasted longer (Y)

With bronzer lotions try mixing it with either sunscreen or a moisturizer so it goes on smoother and less streaky. I mix mine with sunscreen & self-tanner. It also looks more nature than if you applied the bronzer directly onto your skin. I have also used the gradual face tanner from VS. It is ok. I feel the one from Jergens works just as well if not better

The only thing I have used from NARS is their power foundation. I like it And Urban Decay always has the coolest colors when it comes to eye shadows!

I agree, especially little dogs They always get undermined b/c of their size but they could be quite feisty and brave Sure they are sometimes fragile but they rarely let that stop them from fending for themselves or protecting things they love. Some little dogs are more aggressive than bigger dogs

Bolt is on my list of movies to watch. I don’t think my yard is big enough for a donkey. Besides, I am surrounded by jackasses I can’t avoid---there is no need to have one as a pet The fact an alien troll agrees is more of a reason I should be skeptical Speaking of which...Eek! Chances are if you are seeking for a meaningful relationship looks will not be a top priority and it is something you would eventually look past anyways. As they say, beauty fades but dumb as forever. I would like to add to that statement a shitty personality that is not changing for the positive is also forever. I know a lot gorgeous girls with horrible personalities. They rely on their looks to get what they want, and they think their beauty makes up for their bad traits. Good looks could only get a person so far. You could lure them in with your looks but it is your personality that gets them to stay. I did not mention plastic surgery as an option b/c I feel it is a cop out and unnecessary for most people.

I actually don’t think the Bible is a bad piece of literature It is how people interpret the content and their inclination to impose their interpretations upon others that is the real issue If you read the Bible as is, it isn’t that bad. There are a lot of good [common sense] points made in it

Yes, I have had many homemade pumpkin pies. Divine! Speaking of McRibs, have you seen this: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/11/12/frozen-mcrib_n_4260461.html

Funniest thing ive seen all day thanks for the laugh

One thing I enjoyed about BB was how the premise and "moral" of the show was constantly evolving. It made you think about why people do the things they do even when the apparent motivating factor is no longer valid. Actions & behaviors are not always as simple as black or white. It often Gray. Also, the whole situation with Jane and the plane crash illustrated for every action/behavior there will be a chain reaction (butterfly effect) and cause & effect---sometimes in bigger ways than imagined. These actions do not just affect you & those close to you, but sometimes also innocent people you have no association with.

I feel Walt’s '"evilness" is overexaggerated especially by the media. Don’t get me wrong he is definitely a shitty person and I am not condoning murder, but like you said most of the people he had killed he had somewhat of a legitimate reason to do it. He did it to protect himself & his family...and his ego The only thing he did I felt was truly evil was poisoning Brock. Yes, he knew Brock wasn't going to die but I felt it was a huge unnecessary risk. His reasoning for poisoning Brock was weak compare to some of his other actions involving physically harming others.

I also think the cancer was the catalyst to Walt’s calculating, egotistical, manipulative, selfish and sociopathic behaviors. It was dormant until he found out about his cancer. He had all elements (no pun intended) within him to eventually break bad and become the person became. He said something interesting in both the pilot and finale. In pilot when Jesse asked him why he’s breaking bad, he said something along the lines of he “has awaken”. Then in the finale he told Skylar he cooked meth b/c he was good at it, he liked it and it made him feel alive. Walt was an intelligent man who felt insecure and insignificant b/c he never reached his full potential or had the opportunity to utilize his skills and smarts due to bad luck...until he started cooking meth.

As for Jesse, as much as Walt abused, manipulated and mistreated him I think deep inside he did care for and love Jesse. Walt’s ego and selfishness often got in the way of him expressing his genuine concern.

Who are the Raptors playing on the 18th? Do you live close to the stadium?

I think the whole thing with the dude dancing at the Celts game was staged but a lot of people are convinced it is not

No, Walking Dead is still in my queue of shows to watch. And no I don’t watch TVD—it looks lame Did you used to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel? Two of my all-time favorite shows

I have heard of The Blacklist. I think the actor who plays Skinny Pete on BB is on that show. Other than that I don’t know what the show is about---what is it about?

I recently started watching this show on HBO call Getting On. It is about an all-female geriatric extended care wing at a hospital. Although I don’t often deal with patients directly, I do appreciate the dark humor and what some of my co-workers deal with on a daily basis. Here is a clip that totally cracked me up :

Like most movies based on books, the book was much better! As much as I adore Leo I did not think he was a "great" Gatsby Don't get me wrong his acting was fine. I envisioned Gatsby to be slightly different than what Leo portrayed---look and personality wise. I also felt the over emphasis on the romanticism and the "Hollywood Treatment" overshadowed the message of the story.

Some of Aristophanes plays I have read are The Clouds, The Wasp, The Birds, The Frogs and Lysistrata I have also read some of Sophocles' plays and The Odyssey. Not by choice though I was required to read these book in order to get my Classical Civilizations, Art & Mythology minor at university Although I must say I prefer The Odyssey over The Iliad (I despise that book!) Everytime I get to the part where Argos dies I get a teary-eye

I played Haemon in a HS play adaptation of "Antigone".

I usually enjoy history books and fantasy literature. Science fiction too.

Yes, there is an all-time favorite: The Lord of the Rings, and its related mythology. I'm a big fan of Tolkien's work. My second album is inspired in Tolkien's The Silmarillion, a story before the time of The Lord of the Rings

I know a lot people who are into The LOTR trilogy and Tolkien's work. Some even went to see each of the LOTR movies every weekend   Did you do that as well? One of my closest pals has a replica ring he wear religiously daily

Is The Silmarillion uploaded onto your SoundCloud account yet?

I know a lot people who are into The LOTR trilogy and Tolkien's work. Some even went to see each of the LOTR movies every weekend   Did you do that as well? One of my closest pals has a replica ring he wear religiously daily

Is The Silmarillion uploaded onto your SoundCloud account yet?

Lol!! No, I didn't do that. I'm a fan but not that much

Hahaha that's being a huge fan

Now I'm waiting for the 2nd part of The Hobbit

There's a couple of demos, not the official versions yet; I'm still recording them.

This is a demo of one of the songs. It was recorded 3 years ago or so.

This is the same song, but a live version recorded in February

https://soundcloud.com/carlosmolinab/la-espada-y-el-martillo-en

And these are some extracts of another song (the whole song is almost 18 minutes long )

This one was recorded last year.

I have to admit I did fall asleep during one of the LOTR movies Although I do remember enjoying the cartoon version of The Hobbit, and I generally dislike cartoons!

Thanks for sharing Great tracks! I really like La Espada y El Martillo

I guess if there is Progressive Trance there could be Progressive anything. It is the first time I have heard about Progressive Metal I learn something new everyday!

Awww man Well I have really gotten into her recently, and because I loved the Office I loved her annoying character (which I think shes trying to be annoying...IDK )

And yes do give it a try, it works AWESOME! Benefit is a great brand, pretty much everything I've tryed from them has worked out great (inluding the mascara ) Also the packaging is too adorable  Also L'Oreal has a great poor minimizer too and I use that quite often too, it works great. Its called "Miracle Blur"

Agreed on VS makeup, alot of it is pretty good. The face illuminator RULES I love using that, but I've never used the other things you mentioned. What is the SLT Illuminating gel? And loll don't even get me started on how much VS perfumes and lotions I have. Like its too much, I never thought there could be too much, but I have TOO MUCH! I have the Dream angels Halo, but that one is not my fav. My fav Vs frangrance is probably "The Bombshell" I'm not sure if they still sell it, but I bought it two years ago, and I still have it and the smell is so pungent in a very good way

Also I really love PINK lotions, especially these tubes that last forever

In terms of clothing and loungewear what do you have?

And I don't use too many of the bronzers as I'm pretty olive skinned, but the one I did try I remember had either Gisele or Adriana on the bottle and it worked pretty good Or maybe that was body illuminator?

I saw these on Groupon and thought of you & the convo we had about playing Monopoly And we both love the Minions D3bFp9G.png

For those who are not blinded in love you are oh-so very right there Pinky. What sort of worries me these days with young women and men, but women more so is their concept of what a healthy relationship is Let's just say it revolves more around an imagine than good core principals. And for those who have a good healthy mindset we know what those principals are so no need to delve into those. Ha and looks, oh lord is that one slow but inevitable surprise for those type of women. Must be one rude awakening when one day their flirting doesn't get them out of a drink or food bill Hmm and plastic surgery is a delicate decision. I agree some might need it but for realistic reasons such as weight loss and all that excess skin, disfigurement due to a horrible incident or to balance out body symmetry since I can to a small extent understand insecurities with body size issues of various anatomical parts. What disturbs me is the sudden advertisement of plastic surgery over the air ways these past years. Almost making it seem like nothing more then the equivalent of getting your teeth whitened at the dentist every 6 months Surly something is wrong with the above eh?

Agreed, the bible does have some good key quotes in it to live a jovial and sustainable life but that alone doesn't make up for some of the vile interpretations people have made over the many millennia we have developed religion into what it is. I'm still more so over the scientific method since there is a more pragmatic approach to life then some "pulling a rabbit out of the hat" ideas the bible does put forth on people. Oh well, I would say to each there own but in this case people really need to learn how to think for themselves rather then fall for a piece of fiction.

Mmm plz invite me when you bake another I need to judge this deliciousness for myself to see if you are telling the truth Jajajaja, yes, yes I have seen that atrocity to food before. Not surprised either since if memory serves me rights actual "ribs" do not come in that shape or color

Oh gosh hun you know I'm going to search for the Minions version of Monopoly on Amazon now...see what you have done!
