I'm not really much of a book person these days, so I'll probably just watch the show lol. I've never read 50 shades of Grey and I never even saw the movie. Nor have I read the twilight books or watched a full twilight movie... Only bits and pieces of oneIt doesn't look easy for the Cavs now without Irving... I was hoping to see him play too, though I also want the Warriors to win. It looks like now it's just up to LeBron against the whole team
I'm actually going to watch GoT and then I'll go back to the game
Hahaha the signs are more than clear then, you have to watch the show!
I recommend you the books too!

Hahaha the show is good enough! But I'm more of a books person myself.
I haven't seen or read any of those 50 Shades of Grey or Twilight stuff and I definitely don't have any plans in doing so
I saw the first Hunger Games movie and I'd really like to read those.
So yes, I love reading, but I used to read a bit more than now. Which I should change. Now I'm currently reading a history book centered around the first millennium and the migrations that occurred in Europe during that time.

^ well that certainly sounds like some good, educational reading!
I saw the first two Hunger Games, but I didnt fall in love with the films, so I never bothered to go and see the third one.
And yeah, twilight and 50 shades of grey are not what most guys are in to I noticed, so I see why you'd laugh lol.
Remember my Entourage box office predictions? Remember how I initially said less than 20 million for the weekend, then I changed it to over 20 million? Looks like I should have just stuck to my initial prediction, so I can't claim I was right
it's going to make 11 million for the three day weekend and 18 million for the 5 day weekend total. ![]()

Hahaha it's an interesting book. Long one though and goes through a lot of information.
I liked the first movie. Not that it's the best thing I've ever seen or anything, but I enjoyed it. I haven't heard the best comments about the third one though.
So it wasn't that successful then, at least considering all the promotion it had. Still that's a lot of money, but I guess the were expecting much more?
You haven't seen it yet?

^ It's been 4 years since the show went off air and by the end of the show the quality became subpar, actually I'm surprised they even green lighted the movie in the first place. Although, like you said, the fact that the promotion was in full effect and these guys were everywhere, had me thinking otherwise after the fact. The numbers were somewhat disappointing, I'm sure the people involved were hoping for another "Sex in the City" success... Another HBO sitcom that made it to the big screen and subsequently had a sequel. However, I feel they will atleast break even money wise, the film didn't cost relatively all that much to make.
Me, personally, I have no interest in seeing the movie. I was never a big fan of the show in the first place. Not my kind of show. ![]()
Can't remember if I asked you... do you watch "the Big Bang theory" that show is so popular. The main actors are even making 1 million per episode
However, I don't find it all that funny, I can't understand how it's so beloved. However, most of these comedy shows I don't find funny, so I guess it's me. ![]()

Ah that quite some time then. I thought it was still on air or it was till recently. That kind of explains it then, but still it makes it weird as you say that they decided to go ahead and make a movie of it. What's been the critics' reaction? (For some reason I don't think it's too good
).
I kind of think you asked me before? I'm not sure either
But yes, I watch it It's one of my favorite comedy shows and I laugh a lot with. But I think it was better a couple of seasons back, I don't think it's that great right now. Sheldon is absolutely brilliant
![]()
Why you don't find it that funny?

^ yeah the critics trashed the film
Yet, the movie got an "A" Cinemascore from moviegoers. Showing that the critics may not have liked it, but the people who actually went out to see did enjoy it. Weird how that happens sometimes. ![]()
Yeah, I bet I asked you. I feel if I were to go back to our like 30 something page PM I'll find us discussing it back in like 2013 / 2014 lol. Though if the discussion did occur, I'm certain that it must have been very brief, hence why I can't recall for certain it happening haha. I don't know why I don't find it funny, but yeah if I absolutely had to pick my fav I probably would pick Sheldon too. ![]()
Were you ever in to two and a Half men? I never watched it during the Charlie Sheen days, but the other day I watched one episode from a couple years ago (Ashton Kutcher was apart of the cast at the time) and I found it dreadful. However, maybe it was just the episode I watched.

Hahaha critics always do the same with those kind of movies. Still interesting the people who saw it gave it such a high score.
Yeah, it may be somewhere there. But I'm too lazy to search for it now ![]()
No. I actually hate that show
Back in the day with Charlie Sheen it was better, and the older seasons were actually somewhat good, but in general I find it just a terrible show. How it lasted so many seasons and how it was so popular is beyond me. So no, it's not the episode you watched. The last seasons with Sheen were already bad and then with Kutcher it reached an impossible low. I also always found the characters to be so forced and unnatural... specially Alan Harper, each time more pathetic. And many were so poorly acted in my opinion too.
So yeah, I hate the thing
And I'm still puzzled how such an awful show lasted 12 (?) seasons! ![]()

^ geez 12 seasons, I knew it was around a long time I didn't realize that long though
Agree with everything you said.
I wonder if the show will get cancelled soon, or maybe it did and I'm just out of the loop.
Speaking of Charlie Sheen wonder what's up with him these days, remember how he was all over the news near the end of his run on the show, for his weird behaviour? I don't recall hearing anything about him these days, wonder if he's still "winning" lol remember when that was a thing?

The show is already over. The last season ended recently (finally!), but I don't think it was actually cancelled and it was probably more that they just decided to finish the show. But probably the numbers weren't so good these last couple of seasons so that may had to with it too.
I have no idea! Until recently he was still making noise for whatever reason
He's kind of disappeared now. The last thing I remember was he marrying a pornstar? But I think that didn't happen in the end

^ Oh so it did end, thanks for the info.
The name of the show , Two and a half men was starting to not make sense anymore either since the kid was looking pretty damn grown near the end ![]()
Lol, but didn't Charlie get another TV show? I just remembered that. However, since we can't remember it then it's probably off air by now. ![]()

Ah yes, the name stopped making sense long ago
I'm not sure, but I think he wasn't even a regular those last seasons. At least I don't remember seeing him on the adds for the last couple of seasons. Either way it didn't make any sense anymore.
Oh yes, I remember! But I don't think it's on air anymore and I think it was short lived. I never saw it though. You have any idea what was it about?
I'm not sure if I asked you (most probably I haven't), what do you think about that show on History: "Ancient Aliens"?
Game of Thrones today!!
![]()

^ ah so I had to google... The show was called "Anger Management" and it was on air from 2012-2014. No idea what it's about, nor do I care lol but I take it it has something to do with managing anger lol ![]()
And yeah now that you mention it, the episode I saw of two and a half men didn't have the boy in it (don't even know his name or his characters name
)
Enjoy your Game of thrones
You said it'll end in time that you could watch some of the finals right?
I have no idea about "Ancient Aliens" love
Never heard of it. Sounds interesting though
Do you like it?

Ah yes! Now I remember the name too. it was quite some time on air then! I'm surprised
But I never cared about it either.
I already watched the episode, so now I'm watching the game. Wtf those refs...!! ![]()
Oh, be happy in your ignorance then. I actually hate it, and with passion. I'll elaborate once the game ends.

Dammit!!

Well, let's elaborate then:
The show is basically about theories that aliens have been "intervening throughout human history". So it may be an interesting premise, but the truth is they exaggerate it too much. To this thing EVERYTHING is alien related, and of course they don't bring any proof worth taking seriously. Just rumors and far-fetched interpretations of ancient (and not so ancient) texts and other sources of doubtful origin. Also, many of the "evidence" they present are already proven frauds.
Today I turned the TV on and put History (which since a long time has lost almost any connection to that name...) and this show was on. They were talking about Ghenghis Khan, and insinuating that he had extraterrestrial help through shamans. ![]()
In some others they linked Einstein with aliens. Also Tesla. Even Hitler. The were even suggesting alien intervention in the dinosaurs' extinction. So they take it way to far, without a single believable evidence.
I think shows like this not only present cheap pseudo-science as real science to the general people, but also seriously underestimates the human capacity suggesting that key events on our history were only made because of alien intervention.
Now, to make it clear, considering the size of our universe and the incredible amount of galaxies, stars and planets, I'm sure there's must be other forms of life somewhere. It's a probabilities thing. But I really doubt they're visiting us and and even more the way the way this show is picturing it.

Another overtime, wow. They stated its the first time in NBA history that the first two games of a finals has gone to overtime. Certainly was a whirlwind game, very intense. Rather interesting seeing Lebron catch his own jump ball, but I agree that they probably should have redone the jump ball instead of giving it to the Warriors. And you know what at about the 3 min mark of the 4th quarter I thought Cavs had it in the bag, they were up by like 11 or something, but then the Warriors went on this crazy run.
Lol, I certainly wasn't expecting you to say you hated that show lol.
Speaking of educational channels, the other day I was watching an interesting documentary on what would happen to the Earth if humans seized to exist. They went on to say what will happen after 100, 200, 1000 years etc. after humans. The Earth pretty much will revert back to how it was from the very beginning. London will return into a Marsh, Manhattan a Forest, France a marsh etc. Parts of California a desert and obviously Las Vegas will return back to its sandy state. After a certain amount of years asphalt will be covered by grasses and trees. Then of course without people around to capture fish, they will grow bigger and live longer. Domesticated dogs either will die out or fight and join with the wolves. Whales will be mating more because without naval alarms they can better hear mating calls. So basically, land will go back to how it was... many species will prosper. However, man made structures will fittingly suffer. After like 200 years the paint will flake away from the Eiffel tower, the structure will erode and become vulnerable to moderate winds and the structure will ultimately come crashing down and a similar thing will happen to the Statue of Liberty, except the pedestal is made of solid granite so that part will last for thousands of years. Then the cool part is that they actually have renderings of the buildings collapsing, it looks rather realistic! Then there was something about after 25000 years an Ice age will occur, which will cause the northern hemisphere to be covered in ice for years. They said that the only lasting reminants of humans will last on the moon. I just found it very neat and actually sat down and watched the whole thing lol.

LolDammit!!

I don't believe in aliens, vampires or ghosts (I'm even so so when it comes to God.. I think I'll categorize myself as agnostic) so yeah if I were to watch this show on aliens id probably be rolling my eyes at parts. I'd be a difficult seller.
I like watching more realistic sounding documentaries. ![]()

Ah yes, I heard that! Both games were crazy, but specially last night's. Still, the refs made a lot of doubtful calls for both sides. Like that one on LeBron's jump.
Now I hope the Warriors take game 3, hopefully with Curry shooting like he usually does and not like yesterday ![]()
I've seen that one! Really interesting and also well made. I loved the exercise of thinking what would happen if we suddenly weren't around anymore. It also gives a good idea on how much we have affected the planet and other life on it.
Lolthanks for sharing.
Reading what you wrote, I can understand your disgust lol.

You're welcome! Yes, it's cheap pseudo-science being sold as something serious. That really bothers me, specially coming from a channel that's supposed to be "cultural/educational".
I roll my eyes everytime that disgrace is on TV. But yesterday was already too much ![]()
I guess you've seen this meme. It comes from that show ![]()

^ yes I know that guys face (not his name though) so technically I've seen the show on TV but didn't realize what I was watching lol. Never listened to anything they were saying, but the guy stood out to me because ive seen Limerlight with an avi of him and he's hard not to notice lol. I saw his avi first and then when I saw his face on TV on that show, I was like hey that's the guy from his avi. ![]()

Tsoukalos or something like that I think is his last name. Yes, i remember his avi. And well, that meme has of course mutated to pretty much anything you can imagine
.
