^ oh I see.
For me it's the other way around, Taylor Swift is like the biggest celeb of the moment, she's like the current queen of contemporary music... The models she hangs out with are still relatively unknown to most of the mainstream public. If I were to go on the street and ask people who Karlie, Lily and Martha were more people will say no as opposed to yes. Taylor doesn't need to hang around them for the publicity, it's the models who hang with Taylor that benefit from the publicity in my opinion.
The boyish models to me are the skinny models with very limited curves, it's not that I can confuse them with males but their figures aren't very feminine to me... almost like a 12 year old boy, but not exactly of course. And the ones who have masculine faces. There are lots of them, they aren't coming to my mind right now. But some of them would be Lexi Boling, Bink Walton, Edie Campbell, Hanne gaby odiele etc. A lot of the runway models, have that not so feminine look in my eyes.

I'll elaborate- it's due to how Taylor increases her association with VS, the company and gets a spot doing the VSFS. It also helps that her personal image and increases her accessibility I believe so it's a win-win. Like that music video she did with all the top models- that's actually quite clever. I would watch that video, even.
Yeah, with the boyish looks I am confused, as I don't find any of the runway models truly boyish outside of a handful. They are just frail and rail-thin with little shapes- which is quite common in modeling. Wow, the models you just mentioned are completely feminine to me outside of Hanne Gaby.....we see things differently in this area for sure! ![]()
Elsa has shown more expression in this image than any other before! Her stone faces are just what I don't like about her modeling.

In regards to that Bad Blood vid, I'm not even interested in seeing it.
However I'm in the minority, because I know every Taylor Swift video is like a huge event. ![]()
Thanks for sharing the Elsa pics, cute. ![]()

looks like nobody likes this thread of mine:
http://www.bellazon.com/main/topic/57187-post-pictures-of-plain-people-next-to-beauties/
too mean for BZ?
Yea, Nadine and Erin look similar. I like both quite a lot. Nadine is however, physically overly frail but models with a lot of attitude.
With the VS I only noticed the separation just weeks ago while shopping. I had generally thought that all VS stores had a PINK section consolidated with the store; apparently that's not the case.
Yea I felt the same way. I did not check the prices of Free People but it looks like a more upscale, female focused, and more sexualized 'urban outfitters'.
Do you do what most people do when they go shopping- just use the store items to try out things, and then buy it online or find some sort of substitute? Personally I do not shop very much and my wardrobe is very small compared to clothing fascinated people. So I buy few articles, so don't have much qualms about paying a premium if the clothing suits me specifically.
I do find that brand stores, outside of outlets are completely overpriced for the quality- I'm talking usually a 2 x to 10 x markup over a viable substitute. However, the substitute part is more of a shopping/search hassle than completely getting ripped off !! It has always come across that people need to be quite interested in fashion and thus have the skill to know where to find this or that economically ![]()
I do like Nadine Leopold, to me she's a prettier version of Erin Heatherton.
Never heard of McKenna Berkley before, she's pretty but not WOW to me.
I haven't stepped into a VS store in awhile, so I'm not aware of any changes that there may be now. Though I'm aware that VS and VS Pink have there own seperate stores, it's been like that for awhile now. Though it's only like maybe 5 years since VS and VS pink have been in Canada, and so since the beginning the two stores have always been seperate. Seeing how big the pink store is and all the merchandise... It's hard for me to even imagine the two stores combined. I guess back then the Pink line wasn't as big as it is today.
Free People reminds me of the store Urban Outfitters. For me personally I dont really shop big name brands (I don't buy clothes at Michael Kors or any of those pricey stores).. I also don't shop at H&M, urban outfitters or Express. Plus when it comes to clothes, I hate spending a lot of money on it... Don't like buying any article of clothes for over 20 dollars.
if I do buy brand name, it's because it was on sale or something. And the brand name stuff i do buy is usually at Winners... might be a Canadian store not sure. (It's exactly like TJ Maxx... we don't have that here but I've been to it when I went to Las Vegas last year) But it's a store that carries brand name/ whatever for less, because it's what can't fit into the brand name stores or it went out of season or something like that.

^ In regards to that thread, hmmm yeah, it could be a touchy subject I suppose. ![]()
No, I personally dont do the try things on and then buy online bit. I didn't even realize that was a thing, guess I'm out of the loop
I just buy whatever I fall in love with (and if it's reasonably priced) most times I don't even try things on. However, when I do buy clothing it's mainly tops... and I can tell just by looking if it'll fit me how I want it to. When I do venture into buying bottoms... then that's when I do most of my "trying on"
Like you, I don't do much shopping (regularly) .... but my wardrobe is still rather large... I have trouble fitting my clothes into my closet. Which is why my room tends to get very messy in a hurry.
That's because there's a build up over the years and at some periods I tend to shop more Especially if I'm on vacation. Recently I went through my belongings and gave away items to Goodwill, which helped but I still have a lot of stuff. Oh and I have a little issue about letting things go, so that doesn't help either. ![]()
For me I have no real interest in looking for the "substitutes" for the brand names. It's all about what catches my eye, I don't really put much thought into it, but yeah like you mentioned... The fashion enthused people will probably put more effort into their shopping. ![]()

So we named Nadine and Erin, but Who are some other models that you think bare a resemblance to eachother?

Yea, the whole selfie thing that models do is a type of self-promotion. Some models give themselves so many selfies that it's kind of ridiculous (almost every day) and it is obvious that they recycle material like re-posting images from past glories. My issue with it personally is how some posters will actually post every piece of crap from instagram..on their threads! This stuff just clutters thread with junk. (N) I just gave Sanna two posts but I made sure only the save the good ones. (Y)
Frenchkiki sometimes comments that Alex Morgan works rarely but always post boring selfies.
LOL, Elsa as selfie queen. She is uniquely beautiful in the face but quite a one note model .
I don't get the selfie thing either, especially when it's just someone posing for no reason at home. Seems narcissistic.
I like Elsa Hosk, but I dislike her whole "selfie queen" title she's gotten lol. She's obviously very beautiful, but I think she and others just overdo it.
Hmmph, good question. Ine Neefs (spelling) and Maartje Verhoff look like sisters. http://www.bellazon.com/main/topic/8291-barbara-di-creddo/page-6 l
looks like Bridget Malcom. How about you?
I think that there are lots of no-name models that look somewhat alike due to the way they are stratified and selected. It is more homogenous than the general population. The top models, however, tend to stand out and look more unique.
So we named Nadine and Erin, but Who are some other models that you think bare a resemblance to eachother?

I see, with men's clothing I have a habit of wearing undershirt-Ts so this habit actually preserves my items so I only need to wash them if I sweat or otherwise I can get 2 day's wear out of them. I'm weird in that I fall in love with certain items and end up over-wearing them to the point that I'm sure that others notice....LOL. What do you think about that?
Have you heard of this place:? Uniqlo
I went to one for the first time a few weeks ago and found it funny that all the clothes are in fact, Japanese-style casual (they are interested with the 1970s ivy league chic) and the Caucasian, black, and hispanic models look out of place as they are wearing distinctly japanese clothing.
I have heard that the quality is not bad and useful for finding certain items. I need to go back some time and look more carefully. The decor of the huge store (like a Japanese GAP) and the youth vibe (I prefer clothing that has less bright colors) turned me off from exploring further.

Yeah, I know. It seems that fashion is very much based on rapid turnover (short term trends) these days. To many, there's no point in buying something made to last that will cost 5 x.
Do you have many handbags and shoes as well?
oh, I meant more in terms of substitute clothing items- regardless of the brand. Oh. and recently I had a good laugh at seeing a "charming charlie's. This place, from far away looks like a jewelry plus Michael Kors handbag store but in reality it's a huge array of cheap knock-offs. I also visited "The Limited" (a funny thing to me, as it was the parent store that eventually took over Victoria's Secret, La Senza, and other brands). It's a middle-end workplace, formal get-together lineup for women. It reminds me of women's fashion from the 1960s. The selection however, isn't that big and the store is more modest compared to the VS/Pink monster. ![]()

Thanks for clarifying. ![]()
IIRC you asked something about Kendal Jenner---I think she's fine as a model and not the disaster (her family is a disaster) that she's made out of. If she was not related to them she'd fit right in. But I doubt that she would become as high profile as she is now, and do spreads with top models and so forth if it weren't for her last name.
That being said- I know little except the basics about her family. Why is she so radically different in appearance compared to her much more homely sisters?
Also another thing that I don't think I've mentioned yet. When it comes to my interests in models, I tend to not like many of the super popular ones that become celebrities (I mentioned that part before), but If I find a model pretty... to keep my interest she still has to do something somewhat noteworthy, or show to me that she's on the rise. For example I look at someone like Jessica Morrow...
Same with Ophelie, she's pretty enough in the face to me (not wow to me) but her face is memorable to me atleast. She has her own look. Plus, I'm a fan of her body type, I like boobsShe's not known as a celeb and her career is successful in my eyes. She was on the cover of Vogue Italia and she's had other Vogue editorials. She's done relatively well on the runway. Now she works for VS, which is considered high profile too... but what I like about is that VS is working with a model with a body like hers.
So yeah, my point is, there are multiple things that come into play when it comes to my lasting like of a model.
Oh and I tend to like the bustier/ slightly curvy models... but I'm not into the playboy playmate type look. I don't like Samantha Hoopes because she looks so fake to me, fake boobs, fake looking tan. She looks like more of a glamour model, which I don't gravitate towards.
Playboy playmates and glamour models would be better genre if the women that modeled for them had more beautiful faces. Generally they more coarse in that area.
A type of bikini model that's common now-and one I don't like due to how common they are - are that large supply of the very dull Xenia Deli/ Sports illustrated SI/SI type skeletal/petite type model. Bryann Holly and Paige A. and the whole SI South Africa lineup are other examples of this type. It looks that agencies hold throngs of them. They are equal or better in the face than the glamour/playmates but their bodies are thin as boards and like elsa hosk rely on bone structure than athleticism for their supposedly sexy physique. Most of these girls also have faces that are not even close in elevated beauty like the HF girls or top models. They are also generally on the short side with some even below typical modeling standards like around 5' 6''.

Are you watching the game??

Andy, in regards to the social media stuff, I agree that when the model continuously posts old pics that can be annoying. In regards to the pics being posted on here, as long as it's a new pic I don't really mind. ![]()
Andy, yes I can see a resemblance between Barbara and Bridget. Plus, since I don't follow their work, I think for sure I'd be confusing them for eachother.Verhoff look like sisters. http://www.bellazon....i-creddo/page-6 l

I think that there are lots of no-name models that look somewhat alike due to the way they are stratified and selected. It is more homogenous than the general population. The top models, however, tend to stand out and look more unique.
Speaking of confusing models, in the past I tended to mix up Mica Arganaraz and Antonina Petkovic. Now I can better identify them, but the similar hairstyle, similar darker features had me confused at one point. I would actually post the wrong model in their thread.
In regards to Ine Neefs and Maartje, yes I've heard people state the same thing about how much they look alike.
Strange enough I never confused the two for eachother, from day one I could pin point both of them with ease. Maartje's nose and forehead sets her apart in my eyes and Ine's space between her eyes and her nose bridge sets her apart to me. However, I can totally see why people would think they look alike! They both have that young, delicate look and they both have "light" features (in regards to hair, eyes, skin tone) Harleth Kuusik, Maja Salamon and Nastya Sten kind of all blended together to me at one point, but I can identify them all now, but like with Maartje and Ine, I can totally understand why some might get them mixed up.
And yes, the top models are the ones that truly do stand out and are atleast relatively unique looking.
I guess that's how they got to where they are in the first place.

Ine Neefs has this youthful/ somewhat frail appearance, she is rather thin and she's primarily a high fashion model, so when I see certain pics of her on the runway I get taken a back a bit. Wouldn't have thought she actually looked like this chest wise. In addition, seemingly it doesn't look like she's wearing a bra, so I find the firmness rather puzzling. However, we can't see under the dress, there could be something making it look that way.

I see nothing wrong with wearing the same clothes over and over again.
As long as the clothes are clean and one doesn't stink, then its all good. Well keeping in mind that the person mixes it up every now and then because if every single day i saw the same person wearing the exact same outfit, then id raise my eyebrow a bit.
For example, my grade 5/6 teacher would wear the exact same shirt, every single day that i was in his class. It was a white short sleeved, dress shirt. He probably had multiple shirts of the same style, but the whole class kept wondering why he never even changed it up atleast once.
Sometimes his shirt would look a little bit yellow, like it needed a wash. However,he was a great teacher people would gossip about his wardrobe but it seemed everyone liked and respected him.
And hey, perhaps he just thought of it as a "work" uniform... many people have to wear the same outfit for ork or school. A few times someone brought it up to him in class, but i cant remember his exact answer... something about liking the shirt and he couldnt be bothered but im paraphasing to the highest degree here. ![]()
I have heard of uniqlo, i dont know why because i dont ever recall seeing a store here. Maybe I need to look harder, if I pass by a store now id definiately notice it. I take it I learned of the name somehow by following some model. I see Mona Matsouka models for them, maybe thats how i became aware of the name. Looking at the link you provided me, i dont really noticing anything distinctly Japanese that would make me think the non-Japanese models looked out of place. I have a somewhat interest in Japan, specifically Tokyo... i am aware that the fashion there is a bit more outlandish and interesting than what we are accustomed to here in North America. However, from what ive seen from that site the clothes dont look all that different from what ive seen here. However, when i think distinctly Japanese I still think of Kimonos and the like. ![]()
I tend to collect shoes, but they tend to be flip flops, I have alot compared to any other style of shoe. In the cooler months i wear flat boots. I dont wear sneakers, and I dont like wearing heels. Ever since i was a teen, i had no desire to be taller than I am and technically I am average height at about 5'6.. I actually wanted to be shorter because i felt i would look cuter in higher shoes. Even when I wear slightly elevated shoes, I am taller than most women I pass by and some men too. I guess that shows that i like blending in? You'd think with my interest in models i would actually want to be their height, but in reality no lol.
Anyways, back to the topic at hand.... I clearly derailed there.
I own alot of flip flops, but again its a collection over the years and they arent of the expensive variety.
Handbags I was never interested in all that much, but during my weird year in 2012 when I went on this weird buying spree... I purchased a Coach and Michael Kors bag. Actualy that MK bag is the only bag I use these days.
Interesting, I never heard of "Charming Charlies" or "The Limited" Maybe we dont have it here. Are they relatively known stores where you live?

Are you watching the game??
![]()
I watched bits and pieces.
I stayed permantently focused starting at the last minute of the fourth quarter though. Kyrie blocking Steph's shot was crucial.
And the Cavs had an opportunity to score the game winner at the end of the fourth. (glad they did not
) Cant believe the Cavs made only one basket during the entire 5 minutes of overtime
And the bucket they did make was near the end. WTH happened.
But at the end of the day, im just glad the Warriors won! ![]()

Thanks for clarifying.

In regards to why Kendall looks different from her sisters... Kylie is her "full" sister but the others are her "half" sisters. Same mom different dads. Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe's dad I beleive is the late, Robert Kardashian.. who was the defence attorney for O.J Simpson during his infamous trial. Whereas, Kendall and Kylie's father is the infamous "Bruce Jenner" though now I believe he goes by Caitlyn Jenner since his sex change. I dont even follow the Kardashians, but sadly I know this.
For example at work my co worker showed me a pic of Bruce Jenner now that he is a woman... their popularity and presence in pop culture is unbelievable. I wish they'd go away, but they just keep getting more and more popular.
However, back to your original question, the different dads may explain why Kendall looks different from Kim, Kourtney and Khloe but if you also think Kendall does not look like Kylie then that wouldnt help. Just comes down to genetics.
Im not a big fan of Xenia, but I think she is gorgeous though, i dont find her dull in the slightest. However, ill agree with you on Bryanna... shes nothing overtly special in my eyes. Her popularity is a bit puzzling too, i did notice she has 1 million followers on instagram. She's attractive, yes.... but so are aot of other models too. I think its not just about looks in her case, but also who she associates with. She is well known enough that even some celebrity sites will write about her or even merely acknowledge her. And yes, I did notice that these "types" of models tend to be on the shorter side of the modeling spectrum. I agree. ![]()

I'm glad the Warriors won too
but I'm surprised the Cavs couldn't score in the whole overtime. I mean, Lebron did a basket, but they basically just let him
And it seems Irving got injured...
But dammit, the next game is the same day and at almost the same time as Game of Thrones ![]()
(I posted a new video on my thread
)

^ eh with Kyrie Irving being out for the rest of the finals, I think it's safe to say the Warriors will win the Championship. Even though I wanted GS to win, I still wanted to see an even matched series. Seems pretty one sided at this point.
If I was a hardcore GoT fan I think I would opt to watch it instead of Game 2 ![]()
Today my mom was watching some GoT interviews on her iPad, my dad was behind her watching it too... They could name all the actors and I'm just sitting there totally oblivious to what they were talking about. My parents are not even the type to faithfully watch a TV series, but they love this one as does so many other people I know. I will probably watch it this Summer. With no Walking Dead or the NBA... I have the time to fit it in ![]()
I will check out your vid ![]()

It doesn't look easy for the Cavs now without Irving... I was hoping to see him play too, though I also want the Warriors to win. It looks like now it's just up to LeBron against the whole team ![]()
I'm actually going to watch GoT and then I'll go back to the game ![]()
Hahaha the signs are more than clear then, you have to watch the show!
I recommend you the books too!
