^ I guess he's Greek? Just testing, my ability to see a last name and know the ethnic origin lol

I think I've seen a meme or two myself.

How is celebrity scoop going, I haven't stepped foot in that thread in so long.

I guess he's from greek origin, but I don't know where is he actually from. I think he's from USA?

Hahahaha going at a faster pace right now after some slow rounds. The usual dynamics I guess

^ Ah yes, I assumed he was American.

Here in Canada, we are always asking eachother "where are you from?" even though we are all Canadians. Especially where I live, in the greater Toronto area, most people's parents or grandparents immigrated here from all over the world. There really is no such thing as having a "Canadian" last name. I see America, as similar to Canada in this regard... many Americans have last names that originate from elsewhere. Even the last names that sound "American" is actually a last name originating from Britain or Ireland. The same deal happens all over the world of course, in your country too. People move around. I just mean Spanish, Polish, Italians, Greeks, Japanese, Chinese etc have last names that they can identify themselves by, but here in North America we don't have that kind of identity. Hard to explain, but it's interesting to talk about lol

Anyone interesting in the round? I guess that's a hard question to answer because you probably don't know who I'd like. I probably shoukd just visit the thread instead of bugging you with this question lol

Well, as I think I've told you before, here it's kind of the same thing. But the difference is that here we do have what you may call "Chilean" last names, which would be those of native origin. Those of Mapuche origin being the most common. Still, those are last names that mostly belong to those particular native peoples and it wouldn't be the most correct thing to say those are "Chilean" last names.

Here, and in most of Latin America, the vast majority of the last names you'll find are Spanish. Most of those arrived during the Conquest and Colonial times. During the XIX century and then also in the XX we had a lot immigration, specially from Germany in the XIX century. And then some from England, Italy, France, Syria and again from Spain.

Hahaha yes, i think you better see it yourself. I don't know who would be interesting for you there

The last interesting one for me was Claudia Schiffer, who won a couple of rounds back.

Thanks for the info, and yes I remember you mentioning Chile's connection to Spain. And yeah it appears most of Latin America, has that Spanish connection. Remember my Colombian friend telling me about it. Same deal with the Britain and Trinidad relation. I'm sure I've told you my connection to Trinidad. Anyways, not surprising because Britain was a power house colonizing everyone and everything.

Cool

Actually today at work I heard another song that I thought was meant for you to sing. "Sweet child o' mine" by Guns N' Roses. You might have already covered it and I'm just forgetting though. If you did, please post it again.

I know you don't care lol, but since I mentioned Kelly Rohrbach to you in the past and how I believe she is with Leo. Well here's the official pic from yesterday.

Her legs are amazing, in my opinion.

Oh and in regards to the celebrity scoop, well cool that Claudia Schiffer is still getting love. Me personally, I know barely anything about her because I wasn't into modelling when she was big and I never bothered to educate myself on her. I take it you didn't pay her much attention in her heyday too right? But you took the time to look her up in the later years right?

Is there a brand that Claudia was most known as modelling for?

Same deal with Linda Evangelista, Stephanie Seymour, Christie Brinkly etc I know they were huge supermodels a couple decades ago and that they are modelling legends but I couldn't name you any of their modelling work

Yes, as pretty much all America from Mexico to the south, except Brazil, was part of the Spanish Empire up until the early XIX century. Just as we could say Great Britain dominated the world in the XIX, Spain did from the XVI to the early XIX century.

Yes, you've told me a bit about Trinidad

Cool

Actually I haven't recorded it But I've done two other Guns n' Roses songs. I'm sure I've showed them to you.

I did play Sweet Child O' Mine live once back in high school though  It's a great song!

Which part of the song you say is that?

Here's the song so you can give me a time mark:

(Kelly's legs are great, I agree! But again, her face is a big obstacle for me to like her  )

No, I didn't pay much attention when she was the most famous. It was later when I became interested and took the time to look her up. But she was the first model to caught my attention and my earliest favorite too.

Oh, that's a good question! Interesting indeed that most of them are more known for who they are more than for whom they worked for. Or at least I have that idea.

In Claudia's case I think probably Guess is some of her most known work. I know she did some VS too and she even had a Fantasy Bra (I think the first one?)

I specially like this pic from Guess

^ yeah, you raised a good point! They certainly created their own brand for themselves that we still know them for who they are, but not really a specific company they worked for But yes, now that you brought up Guess I remember now.... actually last year I went into a Guess store and they had retro pics of her up in the store. Never knew she worked for VS though, learned something new... Thanks.

I will take the time to listen to the song after work, didn't bring my earphones and I don't want to disturb anyone lol

In regards to Kelly, yes as we discussed before her face is her downfall. Though when I saw these candids, I actually thought she looked pretty. She's probably the hit and miss type.

So I went through the song, and pretty much every high, long note im reminded of you. However, I pin pointed some examples. 0.47 mark, 3.03-3.06, 3.24, and about 5.07 all the way to the end of the song.

It's really interesting what happened with them. When you think of even the most known models today you always associate them to some brand they've worked for. Even those like Gisele or Heidi who are already well known for who they are, but they're always referred to as having worked for VS.

Yes, she did! Apparently she didn't work that much for them, but I guess enough to have a fantasy bra . As far as I know she didn't walk for VS though.

You're welcome!

It's amazing how different it looks!

Chile is playing right now against Ecuador for Copa América (football). So I'll be watching 2 games today They better win! Same as the Warriors, they NEED to win today.

^ Well I hope Chile wins

I just can't believe it. After Kyrie went down, I thought the Warriors had the Championship in the bag. I said it once and I'll say it again, if Lebron and the Cavs win the whole thing... It'll be fucking epic. No exaggeration

Congrats

Did you see when Lebron ran into the cameraman and cut his head? One of the ushers or whatever you call him was blaming the cameraman saying "it's your fault" I dont know, but to me it's no ones fault, Lebron fell and the camera guy just happened to be where Lebron fell.

Also I'm funny when it comes to blood, I had to turn my head when they showed a close up of James cut. Gross, I don't want to see that shit

And yes hopefully the Warriors can keep the lead!!!!

Yes, I saw it! Really ugly fall. I think it's the league's fault that allows cameramen to stand there so close to the court and in an area where players are likely to fall. It was a matter of time that something like this happened.

Hahaha really? What if you cut a finger for example? You start feeling funny?

They're playing good today!
