I think I didn't tell you the name actually, but just described what was it about  . So no surprise you didn't know it.

But it's on September 18. And 19  .

That sounds great

Are there like fireworks on the city or something like that?

I don't remember him on the league either, but such a freak accident indeed! And so young too.

Amir Johnson is leaving the Raptors after 6 seasons, he's going to the celtics. Looking at Twitter, a lot of Raptors fans are sad to see him go. I'm not sad, probably because I wasn't following the Raptors for the whole six seasons

^ I think he wasn't such an important factor for the Raptors anyway, right? At least this season.

Thanks Carlos!

Yeah, fireworks are a sure thing

Demarre Carroll is going to be a Raptor, WOW!

You're welcome!  How's the celebrations been?

Awesome Are other things traditional to this celebration?

Oh, interesting! And really surprising after the good results the Hawks had. I would have thought they would keep the core of the team together. But I guess it's good for your Raptors

^ Canada Day celebrations would be pretty much on par to how Americans celebrate 4th of July.

The Hawks re signed Paul Milsap for like an 80 million deal. Maybe they didn't want to pay Demarre the big bucks.... Or maybe Masai Ujuri and the rest of the Raptor office had a better sales pitch that attracted Demarre to Toronto. Who knows, I just hope they play well next season

Are you up to date on all the other free agency moves that happened today?

Perfect

How was the barbecue?

Let's hope he will be a positive factor then! And no, I'm not really up to date with today's movements. What else happened? Anything interesting?

^ mostly players resigned with their teams for Huge contracts.

Anthony Davis is getting 143 million dollars over 5 years, or something like that. Kevin Love signed a 110 million deal. Dudes are is getting paid in a major way! Since the NBA got a new TV deal and the interest in the NBA has increased overall the league is making more money so teams are able to pay these players those massive bucks. And I hear in 2 years, salaries are expected to increase even more.

Oh Paul Pierce is going to the Clippers. He'll be reunited with Doc Rivers.

Tyson Chandler decided to go to the Suns.

Wow those are huge contracts. It was kind to be expected though, after knowing about the TV deal. Still it's a huge amount of money. I didn't know the salaries were expected to increase even more in the near future though.

That's interesting! I actually thought he would be considering retiring by now. Let's see how he does with the Clippers.

So the reunited Mavericks team is falling apart again...

^ yeah that's why Paul more than likely went to LA, he's from there and so he probably wants to retire in his hometown. That's what they are saying... Plus he doesn't have to stay the full 3 years if he doesn't want to.. He can still retire after a year. He's got Doc Rivers behind him too

The Mavericks are in serious talks with Deandre Jordan. But we have to wait and see if Deandre agrees to join their team.

I didn't know he was from LA. It does make sense then . How many seasons has he played? Like 16-17, right? Probably this will be his last season.

Oh, that sounds interesting too! If it happens I wonder what will the Clippers do.

^. Yup that sounds about right Paul made a rather big impact on the playoffs, so many clutch shots. I think he has a couple more seasons left in him. I'm not sure if Paul is from LA in particular but he is from California atkeast.

So the reigning sixth man of the year, Lou Williams, has left the Raptors to join the Lakers. He wasn't always an efficient shooter however, I'll miss him still. He was somewhat of a crowd fav... Whenever he had the ball or he made a great shot it was common tradition to yell, LOUUUUUU. In an affectionate way.

^ I see there's big changes going on with the Raptors then!

I also saw about Lamarcus Aldridge possibly moving to the Spurs.

Oh, and such a tense game yesterday!!

Some big changes coming for this next season!

Anymore interesting movements these days?

Thank you again!

Hahahaha it is!! But on the other hand, I'm hating how the only thing media is focusing on these days is Copa América and Chile winning it. Like if nothing else is happening in the country. Yesterday the news on every local channel were all about football and pretty much nothing else. And the most ridiculous and useless stories to fill in time. "The restaurants were the team ate". "The coach's story before working with the national team", and things like that...

But it's awesome that people in general is so happy about this anyway
