I was wondering if you can please help me? I don't how but when I want to see any Bellazon page, it looks like this, so I can't see the latest posts or anything else but the first page of a thread, which looks like this picture... So maybe I have to edit some settings in my control panel, or something like that, so if you know how, please help me! Many thanks in advance

seeing that most of our members that go around posting their pics on the site are under 18 i want to limit the permissions for that forum

the only way that i can do that is by creating a sub forum under General Talk and then setting that permission for that subforum to not allow guests to view it...and moving that post ur pics thread into that subforum under General Talk

any objections?

So basically, the post your pictures thread would work the same way as the user threads? Sounds fine to me.

Um no. Suppose we set the entire General Talk category to members-only, but allowed guests to still be able to see the forum on the listing (in other words, they can see the link to it on the homepage, but can't go in), it actually provides greater incentive to register. Curiosity is a very strong instinct, and playing on it is one way to get new members.

There is no disadvantage, and many advantages, in making General Talk, Sex Talk, Girl Talk, PC Talk, and Funny Talk, readable only by members, but keep the links visible to guests.

I'd argue that general talk is one of the sub-forums that attracts most of our new members (granted, sometimes for the wrong reasons), and depriving guests of a view of what's going on in there will take away that incentive to join, not add fuel to it. Think about it, what's so interesting about a sub-forum called "general talk" when you have no idea what's going on in there? I wouldn't register just to find out. I would however register to take part in the jacknuttery I witnessed there as a guest. Just my 2 cents.

I dont think there is any reason for the whole thing to be private and would need to make it public to search engines and stuff. just too much of a hassle. Honestly I dont see the problem with the pics one being public in the first place but if thats the only topic that is an issue then that shoudl be the only one that is hidden.
