hmm im thinking about upgrading to the latest IPB since it fixes a bunch of bugs but sometimes its a huge headache :|

lemme look to see if this bug in particular is taken care of

1) Many members are uploading images onto for-profit hosters (like shareapic or usercash.) It is pissing off some members. So I was thinking, maybe we could implement a rule where if images are hosted by a for-profit site the members must indicate it in their posts. What do y'all think?

2) For some reason I am not getting email notifications when I get new PMs. This problem started today

^ I posted an announcement and edited the rules to include the whole for-profit host thing

2 members PMed me on others boards informing me after updating their email addresses here, they never received the verification email (not even in their SPAM box.) They are able to log-in but they can't post.

I temporarily fixed the issue by going into the Admin CP to change their member status, but I don't think that is a long-term solution.

Could one of the more tech-savvy admins look into this issue???

I noticed MissIsabella's (Chole) username is Guest_MissIsabella_* without a hyperlink to her personal page. How do we do that???

^ For example, when you go to Gisele's subforum, you notice the Motion thread was started by "MissIsabella": http://www.bellazon.com/main/category14/Gisele_Bundchen

There is no hyperlink to MissIsabella's profile page---unlike other thread starters, there is a hyperlink to their profile page (ex: Neo)

Also, if you got to the first page of Gisele's Motion thread, MissIsabella's username is "Guest_MissIsabella_*," and again there is no hyperlink to her profile page.

My question was, how do you take away the hyperlink to a member's profile and how do you change a member who is no longer w/ us to "Guest_XXXXX_*" ?

maybe we deleted the member but not there posts and that makes it unclickable (thats just a theory havent tried it out)

these threads were started with the old bootleg ipb that we were using for some time before a license was purchased and in the transfer we all re-registered but she was a banned member by that time and thus it is no longer click able...as opposed to neo who is still a current and active member.

i think that's the reason.

i dont really have a preference...as long as the thread will be active and popular i'm ok with it.

A PM I got...

PC....Is anyone else having problem uploading files? I click on browse, select my file, hit upload, it goes through the upload steps but then says that I "did not select a file". This just started this morning and the files are under 2mb. Can you help?
