Knowing that TimeWarner is owner of SI, i don't expect a revolution even if they decide to replace her and her team...But i have no idea, maybe a man would feel better what SI fans would like to see in the man, maybe Frédéric Beigbeder (a friend of me got this idea ) seeing the great job he is doing with Lui, or someone from Treats Mag too.

Yep, SI magazine is very much a "mass market" item. It can't be artsy.  It should have a tropical, flirty, sunny, and fun look to it.

Nina Agdal is one of the weirdest successful models.  She can either look like sex on legs: 8733 or look pretty weird.  It all depends on her hair, usually.

I'm not a big fan of Nina, i think everybody know that on BZ now , but in the end she doesn't work a lot these days for a commercial model...She will be sooner or later on the cover of Si too... I can wait

It's interesting to see that you criticize some things with SI despite being a fan.  I avoid doing so on the SI thread because it is meaningless and there are many people who are loyal to the brand. 

I thought the most 'out there' shoot was that and the "zero gravity" one on the plane.  Kate didn't even bother getting tone for that, LOL.

It's probably a function of us being here for years but I find both SI and VS worn.   I genuinely felt excitement over the franchise circa 2010 but now I'm gone cold.  I still save VS stuff from time to time, though.   Interestingly enough, several on the forum still sustain a high level of enthusiasm.

The Antarctica one was an interesting change of pace though but I thought the girls were too tan for the setting

In france, what are the position of tailors?  It's hard to find ones with good value, but there are some that price their services amazingly well for the skill (if you can find them) in NYC.

I think being a fan is not incompatible of being criticize too when it's a fair critic...and i think nowadays it's pretty fair to say that SI is kinda boring, or not so fun.

And yes, the same for me, but i think the SI thread is the place where ppl are criticizing SI the most too ...paradoxically.

Even this shoot was not super fun, the idea was good, but the photoshop was awful. They totally screwed up the shoot with that, as too often with them...

Well, more my excitement for SI go down, more my excitement for VS grow up...I think maybe because it's new for me, or just because some of my favs models are working for them right now.

Hmmm good question...Before there was some good italians tailors on my town, but nowadays i'm not even sure there's still one tailors in my town, so i can't reply

I guess that's because people are now wearing only ready to wear clothes...for the cost mainly.

For me,  VS and SI have a bit of the same old, same old, problem.  Eventually it gets stale.  (I always follow VS a bit)

Some of my favorite models work for them (Monika, Lais, Martha) but that gets old as well.

Clothing used to fit people better when they were tailored. :-p  Those top models are lucky to bring home some of the things designers make for them.

Well since the next VSFS will be an anniversary, i guess there will be some surprise, but overal, VS do a good job, despite the problem due to the casting ... I hope Blanca will do the show and shoot again some set shoot and not anymore the white wall...

Hailey looks extremely sexual especially of late.  This is in stark comparison to her during her teens.

I like the old playmates from the 1990s/early 2000s.  Charlotte reminds me of them..

It's probably not so much them; It's me.  I've been following it since 2010, so I'm worn. 

Also, the VS store/PINK does not sell high end products which kind of keeps the marketing for the VSFS and  PINK the way it is. 

Overall, I don't think any of the models for VS are really lingerie goddesses.  The body type is really off- they are runway models and HF/commercial girls.  Dioni Tabbers or Stephanie Seymour are more of that type.  I think lingerie goddesses should be tall or very tall women with very big breasts on a thin body-  google diora baird playboy shoot (you won't be disappointed!!) for an example.

So..It's contradictions like that, really and brand dilution.  But I always look forward to the VS fashion show.  It is always fun!   It's my favorite BZ "day" of the year.

I know Diora, and i understand your point of view about lingerie...But, VS try to sell their products to women, and not to men ahah so i guess that's why they are using models with a medium breasts size...But i agree to sat that right now there's only small size working for VS...I think as VS is selling lots of pushup bra, it's surelly more credible for us this way. For some reasons i like big breasts to, i f i was telling you the opposite i would lie to you, BUT, for some others reasons, i find small size more esthtic in modeling...

She has an unusual face.  When she was a teen doing HF she was superthin and delicate.  Now she looks considerably different- I think her facial bones changed too and she grew past the normal age for girls.

Yea, that's why I said that "it's me".   Those lingerie models are apparently more girl friendly although I don't know precisely why.  Dioni/Diora types may inspire negative feelings, maybe?  Esp. about the breasts, which can be a sensitive subject.

It's funny but I appreciated Erin Heatherton much more after she got 'fired' from VS.  She gained some weight and reached physical perfection.  (when she was in VS she was uncomfortably skinny) do you like her?

Valerie van der graff also has a perfect figure for lingerie.   Either her figure, or her figure with an even bigger bust !  Or Anne V circa late 2000s with a very big bust! :-D I like the angels in the mid 2000s.  I find the industry so opposed to the real lingerie sexpot.  They turn everybody rail thin.  I really don't know of a current ultra-lingerie lineup.  Dioni/Diora would be good.  Models with a body like Valerie but a different face, etc.

What's wrong with Stella in your view?  I think she's very pretty but like Karlie and some of the other angels aren't appropriate for lingerie.  She isn't a sexpot-her body is flat and thin. She's an adorable girl.  The Miley lesbo thing makes her look worse no matter what.
