how do you watch game of thrones?  I considered watching it but then saw its great length..  I suppose that this is a series where one must start from the beginning?

^ Well, i watch it in streaming on the net. Of course, if you start watching it, i highly advice you to start by the first season, otherwise, it's a waste, you won't get the point of the story. But it worth the watch.
Btw, did you know George R. R. Martin has been inspired by The Accursed Kings from Maurice Druon ? It's a must read as well.

I watched a couple of the character compilations yesterday and enjoyed it a lot.  What are your favorite characters?

Hmmm, hard question, there's so much of good, and especially different and complex characters. Also, rarely a serie, or fiction got SO MUCH good female characters.

For the men, i would say Jaime Lannister, Tormund Giantsbane and Davos Seaworth.

For the ladies, Ygritte, Sansa Stark and Brienne of Tarth.

Ygritte and the woman that play her are beautiful!  Great character and it sucked to see her die.  So far my favorite characters are her, Queen Cersea, and the "Hound".

Brienne is very imposing although I haven't found much story behind her yet.

Jaime and his story is great (he was also in Black Hawk Down).  Sean Bean and Charles Dance play their typecasted roles very well (Eddgard and Tywin)

The dwarf and littlefinger are very good.

However, out of the 50- someodd characters I am having trouble finding others that really wow me.  Jon Snow kind of bores me.

do you know of any other good GOT characters?

do you watch vikings?

Ygritte is played by Rose Leslie. She's from the UK. She got the role in the upcoming spinoff of The Good Wife, it's called now The Good Fight. I don't believe it'll works, but glad for her she got one of the big role of the serie!

Well, i watched the whole, and in a short time, and i can't wait the watch the new season. So, GoT has lots of good characters, but those i mentioned are my faves.

No i never watched Vikings. What about you ?

With Vikings: no yet.

Sir Bonn and Tormand are pretty good!

What do you think will happen in the end of the series?  I have little experience with this type of story.

So far, it looks to me that sitting on the throne is literally a death sentence- the winner, if there is one, would have to eliminate all the enemies first.  The dwarf, sansa, john snow, and the hound seems to be the people that will survive.

The two children that sat on it (Joffery and tommen ) lol.  Joffery was hilarious

^ Not sure the way the serie will end up. Knowing they follow the books, and knowing the books are written slowler than the serie is turned, the end of the serie probably won't follow the books. SO who knows !

Joffery reminds me of Charles IX of France. That kind of Kings really existed lol

Dear @Michael*,

I take note of the warning point you applied to me today.

Spoiler
Spoiler

Sans titre 1.jpg

Nevertheless, some thought come to my mind.

After 5 years updating BZ on a daily basis, instead to receive some recognition from the moderator and administrator team, i receive this warning point.

For what ? Because i insutled a troll. Perhaps i deserve that blame. Regarding the rules, i deserve it. But in my umble opinion, it's not fair. The troll and useless member to whom i'm refering, dirts this forum on a daily basis, and because he's obviously friend with some of you, he will never be awarned for this lamentable bahavior.

Clearly, you made your choice. I notice also that the thread where this incident happened has been cleaned. Which make me think i was not the only one to blame for what has been said out there.

In a personal note, and for my own defense, i find strange that when we need help for some moderating work we find no one. But when it's up to defend a troll against a good BZ updater like i am, the job is implacably done.

Evening @jj3

To be honest, I don’t think there’s much of a case for the defence here. From my point of view, anyone saying what you said would be deserving of a warning. Did I relish issuing that warning to such a prominent member of our community? Of course not, but like I said in my moderator's note, you've been here too long to not be aware of the rules. And as a member of staff, I'm not about to send a message that calling another BZ user an asshole is okay, regardless of whether you have 22 posts or 22,000.

To your point about the clean-up, your inkling that the thread where the incident happened had been cleaned was correct, because weight discussions are also against BZ's rules. They invariably cause conflict and lead to irrelevant conversations.

With regard to the trolling and suchlike, I don't know what you're specifically referring to, but if you'd like to point me in the direction of any offending posts, I or another member of staff would be happy to take care of them.

I'm also curious to know what kind of recognition you feel you've been denied, because with the arguable (depending on whether or not you see it as a reward) exception of being promoted to staff, there's really no greater honour here than being granted your own personal thread, which you've already had for quite a while.

^ @Michael*

I actually think you had relish issuing that warning to me. I found that belief on the fact we has been in conflict several time about some politician conversations in the past few months.

Then, as you say yourself, if this discussion was against BZ's rules, why am i the only one from this discussion who had this kind of blame ? I don't think comparing a model to a skinny sausage is in the rules either. Plus, i already awarned the moderator team several time about this member, and some others as well, and i never received any answers. When i asked why BZ never had a clear policy about the trolling issue, and inapropriate comments, i never ever got a positive answer.

Once again, i point the fact that some of these members are your friends ( you the moderation and administration team) and i am not.

I did not had this personal thread thanks to the adminstrating team, but only thanks to @ILUVAdrianaLima. And in a side note, i never requested to anyone this thread.

Since you ask me, i requested to one of the administration team member to become a moderator and i never received an answer to this request. I would have understood a negative answer, but nothing, is simply rude.

I officially ask you or to the moderator team to remove the warning point i received today.

@jj3

Most of those points are based on pure speculation. Firstly, to assume that I've some kind of axe to grind requires a pretty significant leap of logic. I can actually recall having far more positive interactions (in the Euro 2016 topic and various movie threads) with you than negative ones. There's only one genuine difference of opinion between us that I can easily bring to mind in which opposing views were expressed on a political issue, and even that was conducted in a calm manner with no cross words exchanged. If I were to give warnings based on every conversation like it, I'd be dishing them out all day.

Secondly, we give warnings privately and on a one-to-one basis, so you couldn't possibly know that you were singled out. The other members whose posts I cleaned up wouldn't know if you were given a warning any more than you would know if they were given one. They might be aware now, but it was your call to broadcast this whole situation, not mine.

Thirdly, comparing a model to a skinny sausage or who knows what else isn't okay, and I acknowledged that by removing the initial post and the discussion that ensued afterwards. But if someone else breaks the rules, it doesn't give you free reign to do it too. It certainly shouldn't be taken as license to be abusive towards another member.

I don't know the specific circumstances of every situation and can't control who responds to what, but for what it's worth, personal threads are awarded when someone wants to make one for another member, and they PM an admin to make a request. The staff then deliberate and decide. The vote for you to have one was unanimous, so yes, the fact that you have a personal thread is at least partly down to the admin team.

This warning point is an unfair decision for me. I still ask you or to the moderator team to remove it. I do not agree it's legit.
