I'll be standing by the decision that I made earlier on. If you'd like to contact another member of staff and ask them to review the situation, that's absolutely fine.

@Prettyphile @PinkCouture I would like to know your opinions about my request of removing that warning point.

Joffery reminds me of Charles IX of France. That kind of Kings really existed lol
John Snow is a fan favorite and the character with the most screentime in the series. I just, however, can't get into his arc (except for the Ygritte romance). He reminds me of the lead from "Kingdom of Heaven". His character is solely designed to please modern viewers- He's naive and he has simple human decency that is improbable in the environment that he's in, and he survives through sheer luck (and in a series where stupid, idealistic people get killed quick). If only Ned Stark had that type of luck lol. The dragon girl arc is similarly hard to get into.
Sansa is still a mystery to me. I saw some early content of Sansa and she is a naive little girl but then I saw some S6 and she has become hardened. I must have missed the transition.

Oh no, i like them. Both stories are interesting. IMO the most difficult one is the one with Arya Stark, i find it LONG
I'm glad the arc about Jon Snow and Sensa Stark merged by the end of the last season.

I see. I just can't get into the John, Sansa, and Dragon girl characters. But I like the Boltons and Ygritte. With the Arya story, I like it when she is with the hound but not with the cult. For me, the best part of the show is literally anything that has to do with the Lannisters. Their greed is just so entertaining lol.

I think the next season will follow again the books, hopefully it'll be good !

I've read that the books are actually not completed, and Martin has repeatedly delayed their completion- hinting that he lost interest/has writer's block or is intentionally delaying them in accordance to the production of the show.

There ain't no books for them to follow anymore!
The 5th season reached basically the end of A Dance With Dragons, which is still the last book published.

...
The guy is just a "slow" writer. The TV show has likely nothing to do with it and he is certainly not delaying it because of the show's production.
And I put slow in quotes because we're talking of over 1000 pages books here with a complex story and complex characters development. Much more than what can be seen in the show.
He definitely hasn't lost interest either in what he refers to as the biggest work of his life.
There was a similar delay already between A Storm of Swords (2000) and A Feast For Crows (2005) and then again with A Dance With Dragons (2011), all of them completed before Game Of Thrones even started.

Ah ok ! I forgot that. I watched the last season when it was aired out there, so almost 9 months ago now. I remember now people were saying it was not that good than the previous ones, because it was not following the books anymore. Well, i thought it was the same. Same pleasure to watch. And i'm not an expert, i just watched that to change my ideas.

AT this rate, the GOT TV series will end before the final books are out. I have seen a social media message where Martin states that his book will come out at the earliest (late 2017) but he is not optimistic. From seeing other content, he helps promote the TV series so I can assume that he works with HBO with the series even if his books are not published.
What are you favorite characters and where do you see the series going?

It has been clear since a long time now that the TV series will finish before the two remaining books are published.
And he participated in the production of the show till at least the 4th season, but he doesn't anymore... to focus on writing.
I don't watch the TV series anymore.

what happened? Think the series got weaker in 6 or..?

Interesting to hear. It's kind of odd seeing that the last 3 seasons are based on what has not been fully written.
I've been watching the various character arcs that have been compiled on youtube (just started and finished over the weekend)- for me it's a different experience because I get these complete stories and don't have to wait or have the whole speculation/hype angle going. The impression I get is that the series is that it has so many characters/storylines going on (and spread over a long period of time) that it must take some effort to keep up with it.

Why don't you just watch the show instead of looking at clips on youtube?...

I didn't see season 6. I want to read the books first... If the 6th is published this year.
But the 5th season got indeed weaker in my opinion. Specially when comparing it with the books. These guys decided to split A Storm of Swords (third book) into 2 seasons, but then they condensed A Feast For Crows and A Dance With Dragons (4th and 5th books), one almost equally long and the other longer than the third and both more complex, into a single season... losing of course a lost of potential character development and interesting arcs in the process.

@stormbringer I was not planning on watching GOT but came upon it by accident. The length of the series is too great for me to watch in the near term so I've focused on the essentials. I've focused mainly on the Capital and the lannisters/boltons/tyrells.
So Season 1 = book 1, Season 2 = book 2 Season 3/4 = Book 3 Season 5: Book 4/5
Season 6 feels very "penultimate" TBH.

About season 6, even if it's not following the book, i guess George R. R. Martin had a word to say for the development.
I found the end of the season really epic.

according to this: http://deadline.com/2016/06/game-of-thrones-season-6-finale-david-benioff-d-b-weiss-hbo-1201780242/
The season consists largely of original content not found in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, but also adapts material from the upcoming sixth novel The Winds of Winter and the fourth and fifth novels, A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons.[3]
I'm personally looking forward to
seeing what will happen with Cersea, Arya, and the Hound in S7 the most.

I'm still waiting for a responce, if possible.

Despite i don't like Cersei, her adventure in the last few seasons is really difficult. And overal, the show is very violent. But i guess 1/ we can't treat about that kind of story in avoiding violence. And 2/ I guess that why the public love it. It make it more genuine. Not like a fairy tale

foreshadowing:
http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Maggy
A "younger and more beautiful" queen will cast her down and the king will have 20 children. Her 3 children are already dead as the prophecy showed. Dragon Girl will be queen? Or Sansa? (but Sansa is not more beautiful than Lena Headly LOL) I think the king will probably be John Snow
