Its quick and easy.. You're also going to need a video converter too...

Open Jasc animation shop and go to File/Animation Wizard. Choose size, video, lenght... It's very easy, you'll learn it quickly.

You don't need to make screen caps... All you have to do is

download the video that you want using youtube video downloader then edit it

using windows movie maker. After that convert it using your video converter

and open it with Animation shop and take it from there..
