Yeah it does suck, but whatever. I don't think it's so much the "asshole" girls are after (well for the most part from what I've observed), but just the dude that has a lot of "confidence". Or so I'm told.

Oh and for some reason there's a myth that you'll have more success getting a girl to be interested in you if you "act like you don't give a damn" instead of the logical approach, like complimenting them with such classic phrases like "You're so pretty". Women want to "work for it" apparently.
