Needed Magdalena to clock that reporter, it was a stupid question back in 2015 and its an even dumber question a decade later now that VS is doing things differently. 

Gizele Oliveira confirmed via ig stories VS didn't do a casting like past years, it was for a small circle of models

I immediately noticed how toned down the outfits are - less embellishment, more focus on underwear pieces making the collection reminiscent of the 1999/2000 show. Some songs were nice. I liked the mash-up of the first segment and the first song that Tyla performed. In fact, I wished they could return to more mash-ups than live performances.

I was pleasantly surprised to see some of the newcomer models like Maty Fall or Mika Schneider. These were models that I had on my radar for the past couple of years and wondered if they would have been cast for the show in recent years if the VS show never got cancelled.

 

All in all, I feel neutral about the show.

 

 

Wow! What were your themes for segments? 

Rewatched the opening, Gigi wasn't that bad.. better than Behati's two openings 

Also I can't believe Vittoria opened and closed a segment, that's more than any former angel. I wonder if she will start working with them regularly?

Unfortunately they had to cover them all up to a certain degree b/c the show was publicly broadcasted

Boy, I think Dylan Sprouse's American accent really rubbed off on her, she sounds like a total American now, even the mannerisms. Don't understand why reporters don't stick to a standard script instead of personalizing it to every model.

A simple question like, "How are you feeling about the show tonight?" "Can you share what you have done to prepare yourself in the months leading to the show?" If someone is feeling ballsy, probably shoot the question, "What do you think about being back here with a diverse group of models, and how does the experience differ from VS in 2018," would have probably got the models talking. Though I can see it potentially being a recipe for PR disaster for anyone asking or answering the question. 

Honestly, I know I said the former angels look happy to be back, but I wonder how many of them genuinely think in their heads, to be reduced to nothing more but a regular model walking the show, no additional screen time, no privileged treatment, no 2-3 outfits, you get what you're given, and if they feel like they deserve better post-rebrand. Maybe I read too much, I guess someone like Adriana who has it all in wealth probably just does it for publicity and to reunite with her friends.

Also, to that comment about us being so chill now, I think we all grew up KEKW. And apparently, we're united in memes and humor for the fashion show by this point.

I think they probably decided to do no make segment Pink. But they had casting and men for this segment. I wonder why? Lol.

Mayowa is still so excited and enjoyed, i thought she will get mad?! She is the only of contrat models of VS who had one outfit and wing used Lol it's  ok if she is glad
