Most of the time I meet people that I have something in common with that I might actually see again They weren't complete stangers that I just walked up to. It's a bit hard to just go up to someone and say "hey, we're in the same spacio-temporal vacinity, let's chat!" or "What about Breakfast at Tiffany's? We both kinda like it!, well that's the one thing we got!"

I'd just like to say that I, if no one else, appreciates the Deep Blue Something reference.

I hated that song and I was glad that was there only hit. (over here anyway)

Gotta agree with Mr Hong Kong Foei though: the old adage *puke* "strangers are friends waiting to happen" ain't entirely true. I met most of my friends at school, when I was a blabbermouth kid who yapped away at everyone. The ones who cared to hang around and listen became friends. But kids are a lot more open than adults. Today, I'm a lot more shy and most people don't care to talk to strangers unless it's necessary. When I sit in the bus, it's usually totally quiet (and that considering like 80 ppl fit in there!) and only the ones that obviously already know eachother talk. Others just listen to their ipods or snore

So in short, I'm a totaly weirdo freak for trying to speak to strangers on occassion. Okay, nice to know that...

Guess what: I'm going to continue on doing so.

And if some people don't like that, well, I just hope they don't hurt their backs while they go fuck themselves.

but you should continue doing talking and stuff. Sometimes its good to meet people that are genuinely interested and want to chat

I will. I'll just make sure to wear a T-shirt saying "BEWARE! Will talk to strangers!" every time I go out so people uncomfortable with a disgusting stranger approaching them get a warning before I can address them.
