Damn I need to re-learn my art book on these guys... I´ve forgotten so much already![]()
I know the feeling
Those are all pretty wonderful. I was going to say that those tolagunestro illustrations would make awesome t-shirts, but then I saw that they actually are t-shirt designs
I haven't followed anyone regularly on deviantART for a long time now, but I still remember a bunch of the ones that I used to. Some of them aren't around on the site anymore though. One of my favourite painters of that time was spx - his work was so loose and expressive - quite remarkable
Amazing style indeed ![]()
I would love to have one of his T-Shirts, oh my. He really captures my dreams in his works. Phenomenal.
Do you have an DA account yourself, donny?

I also wrote yesterday, that we (Slovakia) won a silver medal in
2012 IIHF World Championship in Finland
![]()
The whole nation is celebrating! The medal is even more special considering the fact that we had a very young team with only few experienced players from NHL or KHL.
A fun fact - when our youngest player, Libor Hudacek was asked about the Russian mega stars - if he knows them, how he feels about them - he answered that yes - till now he has played with them on his playstation
and that now he feels honoured to play with such big names.
We lost to Russia 6:2 - but the Russian team was really excellent, it was pleasure to watch their game. Amazing hockey, amazing experience for our young players, and such a joy when they came back yesterday - the whole nation was SO proud ![]()
Just wanted to share my joy with you ![]()
Also, who would like to take a look at some of the most amazing places in Slovakia, check this one:

Zdeno Chara, the Norris Trophy-winning defenceman who was deservedly named a 2012 tournament all-star, scored twice for Slovakia.
Nonetheless, silver is a tremendous accomplishment for a nation that entered the tournament seeded tenth in the IIHF World Ranking and finished tenth on home ice last year. Slovakia hadn’t captured a medal since 2003’s bronze."All the players had a fantastic performance at this tournament," said head coach Vladimir Vujtek. "Slovakia had to wait nine years to win a medal."
"It's a big day for Slovak hockey, and we can be proud," said forward Mario Bliznak. "Without big stars we showed heart, so the future looks good."
Miroslav Satan now becomes the first Slovak player to own four IIHF World Championship medals (silver 2000, gold 2002, bronze 2003, silver 2012).
I´m so proud at our boys ![]()

I'm glad you liked it
. Do you by any chance have a preferrence of cats and dogs
? For me its a case by case basis although some feel strongly about whatever their answer is.
I used to prefer dogs - but since we started going to the cottage with all the cats around - I´ve fallen in love with them. Cats are damn amazing creatures. But I love both dogs and cats
I have very strong feelings towards all the animals.
However my love life will always be wolves and common ravens - and dolphins. They are just outta this world. Their intelligence amazes me.
Do you too have some "loves" when it goes to animals Joe?
Its hard to say what my favorite is
. With dolphins, its an interresting irony that I like dolphins and penguins both whereas dolphins eat baby penguins obviously. On the other hand, that seems to be the case with a lot of animals I like
.

Check it out Jennka, we have 2 mud nests right underneath the roof overhang right where the 2 points of the roof meet - thought id share since I remember you were fond of bird watching. Fascinating to see how these little suckers go about constructing their nests, quick too. From doing some quick research the birds we have I believe are the American Cliff Swallows (Petrochelidon pyrrhonota) a member of the passerine bird family Hirundinidae. We had them before but I believe Jen's dad would knock them down but they convinced him to leave them alone this year. Poor things too, they migrate all the way from Venezuela & Argentina to bread here in North America. The least we can do is leave them alone right?

Do you know some of them yourself?
Yes, only in terms of work contacts, though.
Have you ever read Mein Kampf?
No, and I don't think I want to, lol. I've skimmed it out of curiosity, and apparently it's about how 'Race' is the center of all things............
As you said, you need the people to build this all - that´s why I´m saying people here need to grow. Most of them still lives in socialism. It´s something different here in Bratislava where people work their asses off and try to get some free time as well and balance it somehow and out in the villages where there is an absolutely different world. More weird is people keep forgeting about handicraft and everyone wants to be a "manager" which, too, is not a good way to go. Our universities are of low standards (in my opinion) and full of corruption. Our politicians are all just communists in disguise
However... the business keeps spinning for now. All in all I consider Slovak people to be very hard working people, very willing to learn new languages and use them. But you know that - an individual is intelligent - however the crowd is the stupidest thing ever.
With nation building, it's about building a myriad slew of factors and doing it well. In time, I think. As far as public and private sector debt goes, Slovakia is one of the healthier areas but its GDP per capita still has a lot of room to grow

Exactly!Yes, I'm getting used to the new department now but I still don't have any Internet access at work. I'm writing this at home and I just don't have enough spare time at home to be on here as often as I'd like.
I'm working on it though.
Lol I´m the same
I don´t have much time to go on web when at home. There are just more important things to do
You have a family, so I guess you dedicate your time to them?
So how are you coping with our brave new website. Judgeing from your status yesterday it seems like not very well or are you getting better now? It's certainly not an upgrade, it's an entirely different kind of forum!
I like the fact that we now have a proper mobile version of the forum but as for the other changes... I'll wait and see.![]()

Holy moly!
Pocahontas RULEZ! Those are insanely cool! I love Snowhite too ![]()

How do you come across such perfect sites? ![]()

It´s an animal world
when I first saw how orcs play with seals when they´re already full, I was horrified - it was pure evilness. Cats do the same with mice. There is a lot of cruelty in nature - but that´s the way it is.
So you like most creatures of the animal world equally? ![]()

Beautiful
tell Jen´s dad that here we have a saying that goes something like "A swallows nest, to house all the best" - it means that a place that swallows choose to make a nest in / near, it a blessed one ![]()

Fl has read it. Like Baby said, it was "disturbing". I would love to read it - it´s a whole retrospecitve view into a psychotic mind - which is a great material to study.

Always better to have clothes to grow into
currently the whole nation is celebrating our success at the Hockey Championship
finally after a long time we have something to be proud of - that makes wonders ![]()

I´m getting used to it slowly. I also think I´m quite liking it actually. Still figuring out many things - at first I was mad as hell - but now I think it´s going to be great once all the bugs solved and new layer added.

Aren't all of Baby's posts a retrospective view into a psychotic mind? ![]()

Speer has said something along the lines that Hitler never learned a profession, and was a functionally incompetent individual in the workplace.
Hitler himself was a high school dropout, but talented in an "artistic" sort of way. He had a great deal of esoteric knowledge covering a myriad slew of subjects but he rarely understood them in full (such as Nietzsche's philsophy). His ramblings literally one-off him as an individual with an untrained, disorganized mind. Essentially, he was very creative but, outside of interpersonal relations, not at all logical.
I think that the best description of 'Hitler', comes from Speer and Historian Kershaw. Hitler himself quipped 'One cannot understand national socialism without understanding Wagner'. Kershaw has compared the 'vision' of the Third Reich to a Wagnerian epic, absurdly obsessed with race..and complete with costumes and 'worship' of war and heroic deeds. The whole raison d'etre of the Nazi party was to win elections and to seduce people with this heroic fantasy. Very little of it was actually reality.
What is just as important as Hitler in this enterprise was proproganda minister 'Joseph Goebbals', who was literally the 'creative art director' of the whole thing.

I can't say I even like all
although I probably like at least one thing about all. I do like some that a lot of people don't like such as vultures and such. With favorites though, its hard to say because I have two main groups. On one hand, there's those that get points for interracting well with humans. On the other side, there's those that are just really cool in general. A rhino is cooler than a bulldog, but I'm more likely to form more of a relationship with a bulldog by contrast. As a side note though, I know the unicorn lady would be furious, but I find giraffes to be lovelier
. To be fair, that's not factoring in the glow though.

Neat, I've heard of similar blessings from other folks in regards to a bird nesting at ones home. But nothings more convincing than 3 women telling you to "LEAVE IT ALONE!" ![]()

Aaaaw, how cute are those?? ![]()
I love swallows! Friends of mine living in the country side got nests under their roof every year, they are so amazing little creatures! I'm always wondering how you could create such a perfect nest with only a beak to form it! Found a little grassy bird's nest the other day, which was the most perfect circle imaginable, Thales and Euklid would have loved it :x Not one piece of grass out of place and well-cushioned too. Was wondering why it was laying on the ground though, maybe it was too windy ... I considered taking it with me, but then just put it into the next push and made sure it set neatly in a crotch so it could be useful again.

I could never be filming documentaries on animals. I guess I would cry most of the time and try to "help" the "poor" creatures. Absolutely not what you want to unleash on wild life ... ![]()
I didn't know dolphins eat penguins ... ![]()

yes, but not that Baby I meant - I meant Baby Jude9
but I know very well which baby you are talking about ![]()

yes, Goebbels was the man - along with others that surrounded Hitler he made it all work. Have you ever seen Inglorious Basterds Andy? I know it´s not the most history - precise movie (actually it´s the one least history - precise one, but planned so it´s ok) but it showed many "insides" of the whole story that I find very interesting - e.g. knowing of the language during war could save your life - and lives of others.
I find the movie witty and ironicly funny - with many amazing actors, German, Brittish, American, French. It also pictures Goebbels quite concisely, that actor just really played it well.
Oh hell, I wish I had time to look at the Kershaw guy (Y) I also know nothing about Wagner at all. There is so much knowledge I should study ![]()

I find giraffes just as lovely (Y) my friend is obssesed with them, so I always buy her one for her birthday - mostly plushy ones of course ![]()
