I have received a couple of questions about the original nudity rule. (I have wondered about this myself.) Images with bare buttocks are not included in the rule. Does this mean that those pics ok?

When determining image size (e.g. a member's signature), I use the "Inspect element/Metrics" measurement tool. I sometimes use my Capture Wiz Pro program, but the measurements between the two tools differ considerably.

With such a discrepancy, I am wondering if there are inconsistencies between our measurements. In all fairness to our members, don't you think we should be consistent? What do you use?

^ I usually just right click on the signature and select "view image" (I think it is "properties" on IE). It should tell you the dimensions.

If there are multiple images I just check the size of each and add them up

There are some threads in the Male Models Forum that have been inactive since 2005 and don't even have a full page of posts. They are primarily on the last few pages (30 - 38) of the  forum.  It seems to me that they are taking up unnecessary (and perhaps needed) space on BZ.  

Could I (we) go ahead and delete those threads? 

^ Hmmm...are all the posts empty in the threads? Have some of these models moved onto other things like become actors? If so maybe we can just move them

I would prefer not deleting unless they are essentially empty and not adding anything to BZ. You never know how people may stumble upon BZ and we are not short of resources.

Got it, Pink and maddog! I have, in the past, moved some model threads to the actors' forum. 

I was primarily referring to those threads that are, as maddog described, practically empty.

Examples:  Jaizen: last post 2/2005, 2  replies       Cyrus Sipp: last post 6/2007, 1 reply       Damien Hackshaw, last post 3/2006, 8 replies.

I meant empty not in the # of posts, but more like information empty, like all pictures are gone and there is no "bio"/relevant type information in the thread. 

^ The only thread with empty posts is Damien Hackshaw. We could easily replace the first post with a pict and delete the one empty post (Y)

Sounds good . Speaking of deleting, I got a message from someone claiming to be some model (I seem to get those often) who will sue the site if some nude pics aren't taken down. I actually did delete them only because they just so happened to not be textlinked but I made it clear to her that those were my reasons opposed to being in the habit of yielding to empty threats without any proof of authority. This one was actually female though for some reason, 99% of the ones I get are male models for whatever reason.

^ Thats fine, better safe then sorry. Especially if they are a small time model, not a big deal to delete. If its adriana lima or something then we should confirm identity.

So I just locked/moved a bunch of Model ID threads into the Previously ID'ed subforum - I wasn't sure how to rename this one though?

All 23 models have been identified and confirmed - can I just put '23 models' for this one, or do they all need to be named? <_<

^ For that many IDs I think having it as "23 models" or "23 Lingerie & Swimwear models" is fine

^I always find that to be a rather tricky business, but if the thread is fairly small and unlikely to be used again, I usually just comply and remove the content.

^I got the same PM and was just about to ask the same thing.

Seems legit enough to me, but I wondered if there was a procedure for verifying identity, etc. She did start a welcome thread a few years before that thread was opened, and in there you can see her name is Helena and she's from Germany.. so that all adds up.

Besides, like Michael said it's a small and old thread that I don't think anyone would miss anyway.

I think we have asked some proof of identity in the past, though not always.
