I edited hope1's signature because it was too big, like I would any other signature that's too big, and we may need to keep an eye on this member.

I was looking at Laetitia's thread today (that's where I edited their signature) and noticed some posts that were off topic and on the verge of flaming/baiting. Here is part of a post that caught my eye:

to sum this up , the forum is not a place to take out your bad day, .it is a choice one makes, it is not hard to find where peoples weakness are..

every forum formula =

- random person who begins to point out , everything from caps, spelling, grammer( not limited to just members and not limited to moderators )

- random person who will either put you down for you age, and train of thought and how you express yourself

- the " pack", a group that has formed and this does not or is not limited to , moderators, member and adminstrators.. and when the person does not like what a member has said, brings in the forum pack, and targets..

- and what I call the flybys- the people who randomly go into forums - and not frequent enough to be detected, a sort of lurker shark, who when you think it safe to go back in the water . random attack

Ive seen this on every forum and in fact will be the subject of my next psych paper. this as I say is my forum formula, as I said before forums are an interesting psychology phenomena.

And after I edited their signature here's what they said in a post:

Then later on they sent me this PM:

usually it is the case that moderators and adminstrators send you a pm notfiying you , you however did not notify me or give me warning. please in future as with the role of the moderator you notify the member thru pm before taking action.

I sent them one back right saying that I will let them know ahead of time next time. Our rules say that we can fix signatures at any time for any reason, but I've never sent people PMs for signatures unless it was a major problem--especially for a first time offense because they usually fix them right away. Just thought I should point that out just in case we start seeing reports about this person. And if you look at some of their previous posts, you'll see why we should keep an eye on them.

And sorry for not being around as much...I've had this weekend to finally be online, but classes start up again on Monday so I'll be gone some more for a little while.

Its interresting, though we talked it out and resolved it, I was just having issues with this member . It started when she asked me to delete the post of a member asking if she was a loon and I didn't right away because the member had never had any issues with anyone and I wanted to investigate the whole conversation, but the thread was huge. Before I got back to it, someone reported a comment she made about Americans and I deleted it because it didn't have anything preceding it to trace. She then says she did it to "expose the hypocrites" (referring to me for not having got to the other post yet, but putting the s on the end because she thinks she's slick) so I then address her in the thread saying basically, I'm so hypocritical, yet I've lost track of the insults I've edited about people's countries and that was the first for my own. And I told her I didn't delete what she wanted me to yet because I wanted to get the whole thing at once and see how far back it went. But it turned out that the reason the girl snapped at her is because she was constantly making subtle remarks about her avatar and taste in models off topic and at legnth, but when I brought this up to her, all she would do is emphasize what the girl said to her that one time when she wouldn't take it anymore, not acknowledgeing her role in it. She also seems like a master of turning anything you say back around . I wouldn't call her a top level threat yet, but this along with what you say about her response to the sig thing makes me think, like you said, I think we should keep an eye on her for sure.

oh yah, i remember getting a pm from her to. Also about the loon thing. i also remembering her having a problem with frenchkiki, but i know fkk and i was like .... hmm, doesn't sound like her. Or twinkle really. So i looked up all the stuff and after sorting through about 7 pages of all 1 post pics by here - would that be pipping with 1 pic at a time for consecutive posts every second? - ANYway, i finally came u to this, and i think this post about sums up my WTF attitude about this - and why i didn't delete anything.

I wouldn't be at someone having issues with frenchkiki though as her political views ect. and liberal use of the word ugly have rubbed some the wrong way, but the Twinkle thing was the one that surprised me. But either way...well, I've already said it nevermind, so lets just keep an eye...On the bright side, though there are still spammers, its not overwhelming like before .

A lot of members are complaining about the weight discussions in the Candice thread. Apparently she's lost weight or something ? Of course the rules say no weight discussions at all, how should we go about this?

I think it's not really an issue, the reason the discussion started is because several newspapers and websites devoted attention to how she looked at a recent VS event.

I'm sure it'll blow over once the attention to it dies down a bit.

Its definitely a non-issue to me personally, my only concern is that since PinkCouture did put the no weight discussion rule on the books if enforcing it is a case by case basis we have no credibility unless the rule is either discontinued altogether, modified or clarified to some degree as it seems the last time we all discussed this, even the staff were divided with their interpretations . Half thought no discussion at all and the other half thought no discussing to the point of arguments and flaming. Either way, to me the real solution is to make the description fo the rule more fool proof.

A rule is a rule and should be enforced. Inconsistent or lenient enforcement of a rule only encourages some members to ignore it, so why have the rule in the first place?

Savvy members are quite aware of BZ policy and rules and are rather disconcerted when we ignore them. Furthermore, it makes a moderator appear a fool or an ogre if he or she enforces the rule, but is told by the member that another moderator or an administrator said it was ok.

If a rule is going to be leniently or inconsistently enforced, let's get rid of it.

I'm not in favor of a too rigid enforcement of the laws and rules. We should judge it on a case by case basis. When in doubt, we can discuss it in here.

LS, as she is known by many, is a very loyal member of BZ who contributes in many ways. She is very knowledgeable about today’s fashion as well as past fashion. She is sweet, kind, friendly; a sisterly presence to many.

Plus, her GIF making skills are quickly becoming iconic, as a good portion of members, mods and admins use her gifs in the defaults and sigs.

Any criteria that there is for a member to be given their own thread, LMS has surely met them. She has become a real and everyday part of Bellazon and this honor is well over do.

I vote absolutely yes . I think she's an upstanding citizen and (along with FRANCY) the greatest active contributor. I also vote that AnaBBarrosFan get one as well. She's been asking if not begging for one for years, is one of the oldest active members, a solid contributor and besides that outburst with that Dutch girl (which several members had) she has been not only one of the greatest reporters (though she sends them in pm to me) but has been great following the rules too.

That should be fine, as long as you are not spamming your website everywhere I dont think the mods will have issues.
