Anyone else want to weigh in on the new member threads?

^ Because I hang out mostly in the "Hot Guys" forums, I am not familiar with them or their work, I will go along with whatever you, maddog and others decide.

So if no one else objects, I will let Pheno know she can create the threads. Both members have been here for a good while and have contributed significantly.

If Prettyphile has a thread then I see no reason why some of those with great contributions as well as great conduct should have one, those being Berno, donbot and Michael*. Actually AnaBBarrosFan also has 10% (for being one of the many who went off on that Aranka girl that was baiting everyone for a time), but aside from that AnaBBF has been a great BZ citizen and has also been asking for a thread for years and isn't any worse in conduct than Prettyphile, so I would say she would deserve a thread too under those circumstances .

Well okay... But isn't it customary that a non staff member requests the thread first? Not that I'm against those folks getting a thread as well.

I don't know if it's customary I do think there are a lot of members who should get their own thread, such as the ones Joe > Average mentioned. But I agree with Pretty and Opehlia for right now since pheno requested them.

:| Dang. I think it's because they didn't like that a post or signature was edited in Jon K's thread. I remember editing a post a while back and they got sooo mad at me for some reason. But we don't delete accounts (besides the spammers).

Nah...I'm the one that she is mad at. I removed her advertisement of 2 of her blogs from her siggie, left the usual notice of deletion, and referred her to the rules and guidelines. She got furious, sent me a PM accusing me of being too strict, proclaiming that she was leaving BZ and that she wanted her account deleted. She then removed all the images of Jon K that she had posted in his thread. In place of the deleted images she left notices that they were deleted by her.

Another member PMd me and requested that I delete all those notices, because she felt that they were "unnecessary" posts. I agreed and deleted them. Well..you guessed it, I got another nasty PM, lambasting me for deleting her posts and demanding once again that her account be deleted.

I informed her that as a Moderator I cannot delete an account and advised her to contact a BZ administrator.

My opinion....I say let us put an end to her misery and delete her account.

Ok I had to hack up BZ code but essentially when anyone hits BZ the first thing it does is it checks your IP against the DB, if you are banned you get a 404 page does not exist... we shall see the effect now but this is about as aggressive as we can get with this.

The spammers are driving me (and im sure you) crazy, so lets see what happens

wasnt intentional was working for 12 hours before i went to bed but it just *had* to fail when I was asleep, damn Murphys law :persuazn:
