Apparently this person has been bugging him and has continued to him on him sexually even after he told her he was married.

I guess this is exactly what LMS did to him before.

I know he has a lot of friends here but I have gotten a few complaints about Cult Icon Most recently from ILuvBarbaraPalvin. He PM'ed me last night about the argument he had with CI in the Sex, Chat, Cliff thread and I decided to clean it up. No one was officially warned

CI and I don't interact much on the board. However I do feel he likes to, for whatever reason, target and attack me. I generally ignore him b/c we don't really know each other and he is not anyone significant in my life therefore not worth my time or energy. But his jabs at me are getting annoying and old.

Like I said, a few members have commented about his condescending, presumptuous and arrogant tone towards them I am not sure how we should handle this

Cult tried to pull the same bullshit with me and act super pissy pants when I didn't respond in the way he wanted me too.

He seems like an attention whore - know it all - arrogant - self righteous - tool bag - child, and there's not a thing we're going to do or say that will change the fact. If we talk to him about his attitude problem he's going to take it as a personal attack and I guarantee he'll see nothing wrong his behavior.

Cult Icon just is a socially awkward person and if people are uncomfortable with him then there's always the /ignore feature. Now if Cult escalates the situation to personal insults and stalking people via PM then maybe we can say something or perhaps put him on mod watch?

I don't know Cult Icon, but here are my thoughts on the situation.

1. No matter how popular a member is, he/she should be dealt with like any other member.

2. Has he been notified that other members have complained about his behavior? The fact that other members have complained about him is enough grounds to give him a warning.

3. How can someone who has so many issues be allowed to maltreat other members and an administrator? I am appalled that he has not received a single warning.

4. I have read his comments to Pink (linked above) and feel that they are disrespectful and contain unsubstantiated accusations that are tantamount to baiting and harassment.

5. He has clearly violated BZ's rule #3, and should be penalized:

"The harrassment or flaming of members and mods is NOT allowed on this board, period. Harrassment or flaming could be calling people inappropriate names, instigating fights on purpose, "stalking" members about the board, getting into arguments that flood the board with inappropirate content, etc."

6. If, as Prettyphile states above, that, "...there's not a thing we're going to do or say that will change the fact. If we talk to him about his attitude problem he's going to take it as a personal attack and I guarantee he'll see nothing wrong his behavior," then clearly he must be banned after due process has been followed

7. Perhaps it is time for maddog, our top dog, to intervene.

The only other complaint I've heard or seen about Cult is from Baby, which was addressed here.

well. this is a long story with him.

at first, it was in april we had some superficial arguments about a stupid suject. he sent me an email i never read, i even don't read the "extract", and that's true i misunderstood some stuff he said and i left the forum during two months because it really pissed me of

when i'm finally come back in the end of may-june, i posted stuff on a thread about movies. and he started to piss me off with a books list. i had the feeling it was just an excuse and do it to talk it me, try to make me change my opinion about him. i asked him to leave me alone, stop boring me but he never stopped and he said i absolutely wanted to see him stay with me, i was very interested by him even if i say the opposite. etc.

i'm on a forum to talk about the subjects who interest me, i'm not here to become close of 33000 members including the ones who absolutely don't interest me but he doesn't understand it...

i told him that he if i was interested by him, the base should be to read the mail he sent me and and this is something i never did. then he sent me another email (which is still unread, and i also never read the extract) and it was the next day after i wrote what i said about the email. i edited my last post and i said it was crazy to see him send me another email when A i told him i wasn't interested at all about him and i don't read with emails. then something like 2 hours later he reply to my edit and say ok this is the last time he sent me an email. so i started to be really shocked because maybe i'm wrong when there is no notification when you edit a post, so officially the last answer was the day before and he only could see it if he spend his time to visite a thread without new reply or stalk my posts. so i told him his behavior was crazy and then he said that's me who's crazy and i replied another time on the thread because i ABSOLUTELY wanna see him stay with him and i can't support what he told me in his email (where he pretend he said now he blocked me and he wasn't interested at all by me. i don't know if it's true because i never opened it). like a was near to be addict to him. so i've been obligated to make a screencap of my emailbox and show him the blue wallet near to his email to show him i never read his messages. and he pretended he blocked me and now wouldn't be able to read my posts on the forum... as i told him, if the person that you would block had never sent you an email you must go on his profil to block him and my last visitor was pennydreaddful and it was 3 or 4 days before. he pretends he has blocked me but i know this is wrong.

then he had stopped during few months

in september, still in the movie section i talked about bad movies and say i "hated" ridley scott's movies. and few hours later he had created a thread about it. why some people don't like ridley scott's movie. not very subtle isn't it ? so i know he did it because of me and expect i would reply to his thread and then we would start to talked together and get friends. he forgotten he pretended he blocked me. so still on the movies' thread where we had the quarrel and where someone asked what happened there i reply there was a guy who harassed him and now he continu and expect i finally go toward him and he's really creepy and i posted the american psychologist whitepages because he really need to see a doctor.

by the way i often post stuff in the art section but because this is art my stuff is not really successful, this is not victoria secret pictures... and i often follow my pictures views because i'm curious to known which artists people think interesting. and strangely circa july i noticed that there was someone strange who checked my stuff. like for example i will post 20 pictures and the 10 firsts pictures there is 0 views, the next 5 there are 3 views and the last 5 there is 0 views. so you understand this is strange because 3 different people won't watch exactly the 5 same pictures (particularly in same time). so i was like "ok, there is something a bit strange but not so much". just i didn't understood why watch 3 times the same pictures. and i'm pretty sure the person who make it also followed all my stuff, like shitty boring hip hop album or movies cover. thing that usually people never watch even me if i didn't felt obligated to post them to introduce a band or a movie. and she (he)'s the only person who check it and often watch it 2 or 3 days after. why, i don't know. always one person, always a couple of days later. but at this moment i never thought 'oh my god, i'm stalked"

and there are few weeks ago i created a thread about diane arbus because i have a huge collection of her work and i thought i should be cool to share it. i'm not the only one who enjoy her work and it could interest some people. of course as usually my thread is absolutely not a succes which is not a problem for me.

anyway, i'm someone who enjoy to classify my stuff, i don't like to make messy things and all my pictures had tumblr or other websites name, so i decided to classify on my computer and on bellazon. so i checked the "my controls" option and had decided to deleted my 4 first series (posts) to reuploaded them with another names. i don't know if you had already noticed it but when you reuploaded pictures in a post, the other is different and messy. instead to classify them like 1-2-3-4 etc you can have the first picture at the 4 position, the 8th picture at the second position etc. so when i reuploaded my stuff, it was still the same pictures but with a different classification (sens). few hours later, i decided to make the same with the next series of pictures and then i notice someone had checked the 4 or 5 series (i can't remember sorry) who cames from after the 4 series i changed. why ? i absolutely don't know. he just did it. i thought it was strange but i was ok maybe it's just hasard. so i decided to keep my stuff like this and don't change the name and spy. this person had saw something like 75% of the pictures from those 4 series and day by day (during 4 or 5 days), this person had see all the unviews pictures from those series until it get into a 100%. he's my only viewer so i can easily notice him... and 10 days later, so 14 after the creation of my thread i decided to change the name of pictures from the 5th or 6th series and i was like "ok, if someone stalk me something strange will happen" and then few hours later, in a thread without new reply since a couple of week, someone had watched all my pictures but not the 2 series i reuploaded few hourse before! why ? i don't know!!!

this story is absolutely crazy, i don't understand why this guy do it but the fact are just here. and i suppose it could be Cult Icon because of the arguments we had about the email he sent me. i know he check my stuff even when it supposed without new reply. why he makes it, i don't know. maybe a kind of obsession/fixation.

there are few days ago i wrote under my avatar a text where i say i'm stalked to see if something will get different. now this person had stopped to watch the stuf i post. and there are two days i posted a message on the favorite book thread and 10 minutes later cult icon had just posted a message where he pretended he had just noticed a old message from 2006 (particularly 10 minutes after my post in a thread without ne reply since days... particularly when we know he officially can't see my post...) . for me, in my opinion he tried to make me believe that the list he sent me hasn't a bad excuse, he make it with everyone and answer to someone 5 years later is somehing he makes all the times.

he had also reply to the thread where i talked about the stalker. he quotes sweet lu to pretend he can't read mine which is make him completely ridiculous and he tries to discredit me because i think he's scared to see someone discover what he makes.

if he's not guilty at first he shouldn't give a f*ck about it and would say "yes yes, give us the ip like this she could prove that she's really stalked" instead of try to convince people hat they shouldn't think i'm serious. and then he suggest that i could secretly visite his profil (because i love him so much...) and give him a 1 start because i hate the fact he rejects me. this is not what he said but this is the way i understand his sentence. he's so full of himself that he tries to convince people and maybe even himself that if i hate him, this is not because he harassed me and i think he's a boring person but because now he refuses to talk with me and i'm angry against him because he blocks me...

this guy make me vulgar and nasty and as i told me he really believe in his dreams.

his behavior is scaring and i'm sure he stalks me. he doesn't accept to be rejected and try to force me to talk with him and love him, and prove he's amazing and very interesting and i was wrong. this is very repulsive. more he makes it and more he disgust me. i don't think his behavior is normal.

Hmmm, tricky to make an assessment without really having a decent grasp on the situation. I can't honestly say I've ever detected anything outwardly creepy or stalkerish about Cult Icon. I've seen him make a beeline for topics that Baby starts/regularly visits on more than one occasion. But it's a considerable jump from that to stalking. Has anyone on the staff experienced or seen this kind of thing before?

The problem with Cult is he stays under the radar and most of his issues with people are done in PM. He did to me and every now and then I get random PM's from him saying stuff like: "Is this the day we'll have a real conversation Yvette"... He'll also send PM's about posts I've made, like he's doing me the favor of praising my posts? He's just a tooll and bit snarky, but he seems harmless enough.

Thanks for your serious attempt at writing one. I read it, for what that's worth.

I can understand how a person might be unnerved having a relative strange send them random PM's, or reply to their post in such a direction and personal way but for me I wasn't even remotely bothered so I didn't do anything about it... actually I'm kinda humored by his lame attempts to get my attention.

I'll back what the majority wants to do, but personally I don't see giving him a warning doing anything (situation reminds of AnaBBarrosfan.. she's so nasty to people most of the time, but she's not bashing. It's her overall presence that makes people unconformable), he probably won't even understand why he's getting one and it's just going to put him into perma PMS mode... actually come to think of it, that could be fun to watch >.>

Perhaps it seems lame but I am so annoyed and tired of him finding every opportunity he can to attack me Actually I take that back. He doesn't even seek opportunities at times b/c he creates accusations I could put him on my "ignore" list but I am not sure is that such a good idea considering I am on the staff

I know if I confront him again he would not be receptive and view it as a personal attack instead of a general concern b/c it is quite obvious he views me as Enemy #1

What does he say to you hun? Have you tried standing your ground with him?

If you want I can send him and PM and just tell him that his attitude as of late has drawn the attention of both staff and members and see where we go from there.

^ In his opinion I move/delete things inappropriately, and he thinks I edit reminders you guys post. I don't recall doing that but I do recall piggybacking on reminders you guys have posted (ex. what Pretty and MK posted in Leo's thread). I would never change what you guys have posted. If I ever did, please let me know and know that it is was truly unintentional!

He also thinks I overstep my bounds by editing things you guys do not edit. Ex. The whole situation in the Sex, Chat, Cliff thread. Since Pretty did not edit the argument he thought it was not my place to edit it. The reason I edited it was Dave PM'ed me asking me to check it out b/c he was confused about what happened. After talking to him and hearing what he had to say, I decided to edit the whole argument. No one got an official warning. BTW, my action was by no means to exercise "power" over Pretty. I wanted to state that so there are no misunderstandings

I don't try to initiate conversation with him. I have also tried to be calm and civil in dealing with him when he attacks me. It is to the point I am going to be more assertive and aggressive if he attacks me again. It is not something I like doing but he is testing my patience

I’ve never communicated with Andy/Cult via PM but I've had a few more direct interactions with him since then, and while he's always treated me kindly, he has a liking for trying to spark heavy intellectual debate on certain subjects, which can very easily make conversations spiral out of control.
